Why was the world so cruel?

The whistling wind

Tossed the girl's midnight black hair

The snow bit her skin

The white frozen world

Reflected her empty stone heart

Those chocolate brown orbs had ran out of tears

Long ago

There was nothing in her once lively eyes

The world was harsh

We all knew

But I didn't know it would be this cruel

She wrapped her coat

Tightly around her

The winter was always freezing

But today

It seemed even more so

A calloused hand

Covered

Scream

Kick

Thrash

The hold held strong

Dragged

Into the darkness

Of an alley

No one noticed

A girl being swallowed

By the abyss in the lonely city streets

Stopped

It was useless

Why did I struggle?

Not just this time

But for all these years

Why didn't I just give up?

Rip

Shred

The snow covered ground numbed her now bare skin

She was too weak

Too cold

To fight back

She didn't have any will left in her

Another touch

To her skin

Another violation

To her body

Memories

That took so long to block

Flooded back

Full force

To the front of her mind

Her chocolate orbs glazed over

Her porcelian skin never looked paler

She resembled a corpse

And soon she would be

Another hit

Another slap

Another curse

Just like any other day

It was always like this

A druken father

A dead mother

It was a routine

Ever since the day she died

That day

The darkness swallowed me

I acted strong

Like my lively self

To the people around me

But day after day

Hit after Hit

I was emptied

Reduced

To a hollow shell

A shadow of my old self

I drifted off

And no one noticed

No one cared

Not my friends

Not my father

Not the world

She didn't notice when he pulled himself off of her

Didn't notice when he cleaned himself up

Didn't notice when he pulled the gleaming metal

Out of his pocket

But she noticed

When he stabbed the blade

Into her body

Left alone

For another time

Forgotten

Ever again

The white blanket of snow

Was stained crimson red

Her world was going hazy

But she didn't fight

Didn't try anymore

She had given life

Too many chances

She always fell in the end

There was no one to catch her

No one cared

For a lifeless

Broken

Girl

No one tried

To piece her together

The world didn't mind

So neither did she

Why give life another chance

When it never gave her one?

She let Fate deal with her

And apparently

Fate didn't care for her either

Her world was dimming

Death was swallowing her

She dived inside

No one cares

So neither do I

I was never loved

So why should I try?

Death engulfed her

And she saw the light

The pale body

In the alley

Reflected the image

Of a fallen angel

She never deserved

The life she had

If anyone had heped

She might've tried to live

But people just watched

As the angel faded

No one cared

And she ended up as

Another Broken Heart

The World had Forgot
