Donghae and Yoona made a promise when they were young.  

He asked her to be his bride. She said she wants.

He promised he will marry her. Her smile widened.

And she promised she will wait for him.

The 10 years old boy was waiting for a little girl alone in the park after school. He sat on the swing, watching the ground. 30 minutes had passed, she still hadn’t come yet. The girl said she wants to play with him. She also wanted to show him something. Unbelievably, it made him nervous. What is that about? Donghae was so curious.

“Donghae Oppa” and the cute voice called him.

He lifted up his head to see the one who called his name. And he soon found Yoona was waving at him with her smile. But her appearance totally surprised him. She wore a white cute dress that her mother just bought for her on her birthday yesterday. It was simply perfect for her, like a little bride in the wedding dress. She then approached him with her cheerful steps.

“Oppa what do you think?” She swirled around, showing off her new dress to him. She was so adorable in his eyes. He was blushing.

“Woah, Yo-You are so beautiful Yoona”

Her smile widened “Gomowayo. I actually just want to show this, Oppa. Let’s play”

Even though Yoona was 2 years younger than him. She was already so attracting. Donghae couldn’t even tear away his eyes on her who was busy picked a baby breath flower in the garden with her cute white dress. She carefully tied its footstalk to each other, making a flower crown. While Donghae did nothing, just watching her from beside.

Her flower crown finished. She smiled satisfied. Then, Yoona placed the flower crown on top of his head. He jumped up a little when her face was so close to him. Yoona suddenly laughed and it was the most beautiful sound of her for him “You look cute with that Oppa”

He blushed. “Re-really?”

“You look like groom, and I look like a bride now, right?”

He narrowed his eyes “What? I don’t think so”

Yoona carrying down, was so disappointed with his response.

“I’m kidding Yoona” he rubbed sweetly her head, messing up her hair.

“Oppa, I want to get married soon. I want to wear the real wedding dress”

“I don’t think you can marry soon. There is no guy who wants to be your groom anyways” he .

“Ah Oppa” she hit him lightly. Her tears showed up in the corner of her eyes, though she knew he was just kidding. “Why are you so cruel to me?”   

“I’m just telling you. If you want to get married soon, you have to find your pair then”

She then wiped her tears before it fell. What Donghae just said was right. She understood well about it, though she was still innocent to think about it.

“But I really want to get married soon” she mumbled.

The little boy beside looked at her in his soft gaze “Marry me then” he stated confidently. Eyes fixed on her. Heart was beating fast.

“Neh?” She obviously looked confused.

He cleared his throat nervously before stating “I want to be your groom Yoona. What about you? Do you want to be my bride?”

A wide smiled printed on her face. This time she knew he wasn’t kidding. She nodded eagerly. “Of course I want Oppa”

“I promise I will marry you Yoona. Someday”

Yoona wanted to widen her smile when hearing it, even until she could tear apart. His promise was so overwhelmed in her ears.

“And I promise I will wait for you too” said her. Her doe eyes were sparkling.

He smiled. Then he showed his pinkie to her. “Do you promise?”

Then their little pinkie crossed. 

But would they remember that childhood promise as they grew up? Who would forget it? Who would break it first?
