JESSICA

 

It's almost midnight... in regular days, it's already past her bedtime in her busy life, but since for the first time in her married life she had a vacation, she is ignoring the time and now enjoying the beautiful scenery of the night sky in Boracay while sipping on her cocktail.

 

"Excuse me..." A gentle voice disturbed her silent night. she looked to where the voice came from and she saw a tall, slim, and stunning figure of a woman with a charming face that is wearing a shy expression. "Hi.."

 

"Yes?"

 

"Can I sit near the bonfire with you? I promise I'll be quiet... I won't disturb you. I just want to get away from the noise of the bars here but it's kind of cold and i left my jac----"

 

"Just sit.. and be quiet" she cut off whatever the woman was about to say

 

The girl silently sat on the other side of the bonfire... they are now sitting side by side, almost 2 meters away from each other with the fire in between them.

 

Time passed and the girl really did not say anything and just enjoyed the night like her. She then heard a phone rang... she did not really intend to eavesdrop on someones phone conversation, but she kind of don't have a choice since they have a close distance...

 

"Hello..."

 

"..."

 

"Mwoo?! What did he say?"

 

"..."

 

"When?"

 

"..."

 

"Okay I'll call him right now"

 

"..."

 

*silence*

 

"OPPA!!!"

 

"..."

 

"Aaaish! Why do you want to come here? There are so many other beaches around the world!"

 

"..."

 

"Oppa.. I'm haaving my second honeymoon here.. how do you expect me to enjoy while knowing that my brother may appear anywhere here!?"

 

"..."

 

"Yes, I don't want you here!... If I see you here I won't EVER talk to you again and I'll tell mom that you took my credit card to buy 3 of your girlfriends expensive gifts!"

 

"..."

 

"I promise I won't IF you'll promise that you won't come here!"

 

"..."

 

"Deal... Thanks Oppa!!!"

 

*silence*

 

"Hi Stella Unnie.. can I talk to Siwon Oppa?"

 

"..."

 

"Oh!.. I'll just call back later then..."

 

"..."

 

"Okay.. ahm, tell him not to worry anymore. I already told my brother not to come here."

 

"..."

 

"Yeah, I will.. Enjoy your vacation too Unnie bye"

 

*silence*

 

*hiks* *hiks* *hiks*

 

She then heard silent sobs.. she glanced at the girl.. the girl had her head the other side while her shoulders are shaking.

 

Feeling sympathy towards the girl, Jessica stood up and slowly walked closer to the girl then sat beside her. the girl look at her in confusion, she gently smiled and wipe the girl's face with her handkerchief.

 

"And here I am thinking that I'm the only one trapped in a ty marriage" she gently said "I'l lend you my shoulders for tonight, cry all you want"

 

"Thank you but I don't intend to tell my story to a stranger" the girl plainly said and was about to stand up

 

Jessica held her arm to stop her from standing up, "I'm not asking you to tell me your story, I'm offering you comfort, because believe me or not, I know how you feel."

 

The confusion can still be seen in the girl's face as she is obviously contemplating if she should stay or not.

 

"You don't have to wory about anything, like what you said, I'm a stranger... even if you tell me your story or not, what harm can I do?... and remember, 'What happens in Boracay, stays in Boracay'"
