Everyone was exhausted. The agony of losing to the younger ones had becoming more distinct and it had resided in his heart, deep-seated in his core of senses. No matter how hard they tried, it would never be good enough. Tears had been shed as much as others, he fall, kneeling on the ground as many times, marking a scar on his knees but still, talentless was what he got.

Taehyun dragged his feet, exerting the remaining energy to his leg and made his way back to his room. He thanked God for having a room solely for his self. He needed time alone. Manifesting the image of them failing the first performance, he had to buck up. He had to no matter what.

Fingers roamed aimlessly in search for a switch. Lights brightened up the room immediately.  Taehyun’s eyes widened at the sight of someone on his bed. Cloaked under the bed sheets, the man snored subtly. His almost covered was visible. Taehyun smiled seeing him sleeping on his bed. The fluttery heart of his made his body sore vanished.

Peeling off his shirt and cap off, he snuck under the sheets without even changing his pants into comfortable shorts. His sweaty body urged him to shower but the sleeping man pulled his desire away and ended up on the bed with him. Hands s to the man’s waist and Taehyun rested his chin on his broad shoulder. Inhaling the redolent of the man’s natural body odour and his sweat, Taehyun’s mind drifted into a place of his own reverie.  Never mind about what the members were about to see, he just wanted time with the man he love. Just for this moment, he wanted him to feel his presence. He knew that that was what the man needed; a pillar and a comfort.

“Mino ah…”

Taehyun cooed his name, lips nearing closer to his ear and heaving out silent air to wake him up. How he loved this moment they shared. Gently roaming his hands on his body, Mino woke up to the warm touches. He turned his head back to see the tired man with droopy eyebrows with soothing eyes stared right into his orbs. Mino beamed in contentment upon seeing him. He had been waiting for him and finally he came back home. It took him a few hours till Taehyun finished his practices.

“How’s your ankle?”

Trying to make a conversation, Taehyun asked about his condition. Mino nodded slightly and shifted his position so he could face his adorable man clearer. Bringing the younger one closer to his body, he tugged his head on his chest, embracing him with so much affection, he could not comprehend the feeling he had for this guy.

“Are you alright? About… the leader replacement?”

Mino hummed softly. Soft enough to make Taehyun’s eyes heavier, almost closing and lost himself in his own slumber.

“It hurt a bit, but I believe that Seungyoon can do it.”

Taehyun freed himself and looked into Mino’s eyes. So tender, Mino melted inside. The way he stared at him so fervently, he knew that the younger man was worried for him. Apprehensive of what he would become. Hands caressing the rapper’s cheek, he kissed Mino lightly on his lips. It lingered there for a while, feeling his erratic breathing.

“You are the one and only handsome, charming, full of confidence leader I’ve ever met. You will be one of the best leaders out there. Not even Jiyong hyung can beat you to that.”

His words were so promising, so convincing. He knew he wanted to comfort him. But Mino chuckled at thought of him being better at being the leader than Jiyong hyung. Mino was getting used to Taehyun being a diva, exaggerating stuff and spoke nonsensical things sometimes.

Taehyun was like the light in his darkening life.

“Yes, Hyunnie. And you will be the sweetest boyfriend. You are one wonderful person that will fill rainbows in my boring life. “

Contented by his words, Taehyun got back to his chest. Enjoying the warmth he radiated, he closed his eyes. Unconsciously slurring words of how much he loved him, Taehyun finally freed himself from the reality and back to the dream where he made in his mind.
