My feet ran as hard as it could. My arms stretched out to reach the girl in front of me but she was a bit too far. I ran harder until I managed to pull her coat jacket. She spun around and glared at me while I merely yelled, "Tag! You're it!"

    She pouted and said, "Haerin, I'm tired. Let's get some ice cream!" She ran for the ice cream truck parked near the curb while I stuck my hand in my pocket and counted my money to see if I had enough. Once I finished counting, I followed my best friend.

    "Jihye, I don't have enough money." I said once I reached her. She was finished ordering her ice cream and was holding the waffle cone.

    "That's okay!" She smiled. "I have extra money!" She handed me a few bills and her ice cream cone. "You can have some ice cream!"

    I turned to the man inside the truck and said, "One vanilla ice cream with LOTS of sprinkles!" I giggled and gave him the money, and he smiled in return and went to the back to get the ice cream. A boy was sitting inside the truck looking at me and Jihye.

    "Son," the ice cream man said. The boy whipped his head around and faced him. "Hand this ice cream to the nice girl over there." He smiled. The boy grabbed the cone with both of his hands and carefully brought the ice cream over the counter.

    "Here you go!" He chirped. But when I reached up for it, the cone fell out of his hands and landed in Jihye's hair. "Whoops! Sorry!" He covered his mouth in shock.

    Jihye frowned at the mess and began wiping off the ice cream with her hands, thus causing her ice cream to fall on the ground. "No!" She cried out. "My ice cream!" She accusingly pointed her finger at the scared boy. "This is your fault!" 

    The boy wiped his eyes and hid behind his father. The poor man just watched this with wide eyes until he reached for the napkins. "Here you go, I'm sorry about that. Let's get you both new ice creams." I nodded while Jihye just sniffled in reply. She crossed her arms and glared at the boy. If looks could kill...

    Once the man came back, he gave us the ice creams and a chocolate bar for each of us. The boy stood by his dad's side and said, "I'm sorry I spilled ice cream on your hair." He pouted. Jihye kept quiet and continued her new ice cream so I spoke for her.

    "It's okay! It wasn't your fault, really!" I politely bowed goodbye and was about to walk away until Jihye spoke.

    "Can you take a picture for us?" She said. She gave the boy her Pororo camera and swung her arm on my shoulder. "Say cheese Haerin!" She brightly smiled at the boy. She can be so bipolar at times, but I just smiled while the boy took the picture.

    I closed my photo album and stared at the window. It's been a while since I've last seen her, and now I get to see my best friend again. I hope she's made some new friends.
