Polaroid Tears

Description

His tears dried up eventually. After a few hours of crying, it just stopped. It made him feel more numb inside. Myungsoo couldn't handle the constant bullying. It eventually started to get worse, and he slowly started to realize just how much he changed. It took such little time to change him. He simply looked off into the sky, grabbing his prized Polaroid camera and snapping a shot of a hummingbird flying in the sky. It was so perfect, the picture captured the hummingbird's wings exactly as they spread apart. It was almost robotic how he took the picture. It required no thought as he lifted it. He didn't even bother looking through the lenses. Raise, snap a photo, print out, done.

Kikwang looked at him with a tiny smile, extending his hand to help his best friend up. Myungsoo wiped his cheeks and bit his lip, taking the man's hand and standing up. The older man slung an arm around Myungsoo's shoulders, his voice soft.

"It's not a bad thing to cry. Just let it come. I'm here for you, okay?"

Foreword

"Stop it! Everything that has happened is because of you! It's all your fault! Go to hell!" Myungsoo screamed at Kikwang, throwing the one thing he valued at the man. It was his Polaroid camera. The shiny black camera simply split into pieces, the lenses cracked. The printer oil seeped out thick, black, and watery. As if the broken object were crying.

"M-Myungsoo... Please, calm down." Kikwang tried to keep his voice steady, holding on to Myungsoo's upper arms softly. The younger simply shook his arms away. Almost instantly, the sound of skin connecting rung in the air. Kikwang's face was turned to the side, a bright red hand print on his cheek. Myungsoo had slapped him.
