The palace was enormous and so pristine, Chaeyoung couldn’t believe her eyes. Both Tao and Kris had hollow looks on their faces once the big structure came into their sight. “It still looks the same.” Tao muttered, watching the slow activity of the palace.
There were some guards allocated around in blue and red uniforms with black caps. They each were equipped with bats.
“Do you sense any memories here?” Chaeyoung questioned, her eyes locked on the palace’s courtyard filled with coyotes in their human forms.
Kris closed his eyes, concentrating his powers. He instantly made a connection with something and his eyes shot open. “They’re here. The last of them.” He confirmed firmly. Chaeyoung took a step forward but Kris caught her hand and hauled her back roughly. “Wait.” He warned. Chaeyoung stared at him in confusion. “Yes?” “Be careful.” He said. The way he pronounced the word made shives crawl down her back bone. Kris was being far too scary and serious, Chaeyoung became uneasy. With a nod, he released her hand. “Please don’t do anything stupid.” He whispered softly. “I won’t.” Chaeyoung replied. Tao watched their interaction. It was weird how Kris became more protective of Chaeyoung and to be honest, he didn’t like it. That was his role as her best friend. The 3 slowly rounded the massive building, avoiding the coyotes that took guard. Coming closer to the courtyard, they noticed the big cage and then suddenly water gushed from nearby fountains, shooting upwards. Coyotes screamed while Chaeyoung, Tao and Kris remained frozen with shock. Their eyes landed on the 3 familiar figures, one of them with their hands extended out and doing wave motions. He was controlling the water while the other 2 surrounded the cage, blasting it with their powers. -=-=-=-=-=- As Sehun woke up, every inch of his body pained. Especially his chest, stomach, thighs and legs. He opened his eyes only to find himself chained in a cell. It was dark and humid, and sweat poured from his forehead. He tried to stand up but he couldn’t. He just slumped pathetically against the wall, watching the brick wall facing him with gloomy eyes. Only seconds of waking up, Sehun found there was something wrong. Something was terribly wrong.
