The room was dark the girl couldnt even see the shape her hand in front of her. The girl crawled slowly to find a wall to help her stand, she felt her hair sticking to the back of her neck from the sweat and tasted a metalic liquid on her lips and immedietly thought of blood. She yearned to cry in the pain she was in, but restrained herself. She bumps into a wall and quickly gets herself up. Guided by the wall she tries to look for a door knob, soon she found one. With her heart beating like wings of a hummingbird she slowly turns the knob and creaks the door open, flinching at the brightness of the room. The girl noticed that it was the kitchen she was looking at.She caustiously looked around and found no one there. Quietly she hurried to the phone that was sitting on the counter. She quickly punched in the numbers and was immedietly answered by a familiar man's voice.

          "This was a bad idea Daniel." The girl whispered frantically, "Can you come here already... please."

          "I didn't agree to this either little one. The chief hasnt given the orders yet--" He was cut off by a shreik coming from the phone and the thump of the phone landing on the floor. "Melody?... MELODY!" The guy looked up at the house they were staking out and heard the screams from Melody, who had been inside the house, he started toward the house with a gun in his hand, but was stopped by a man grabbing his arm. The Cheif.

           "I haven't given my orders to attack yet, stand down Officer Nam." The chief's voice was stern and stricked. Officer Nam frown, whipped his arm out of the Chief's grasp and ran to the house followed by his partner. They both quietly entered the house, it smelled of blood, metal and death. Officer Nam kept hearing a constant thump, like someone beating a mattress. But with the thumps he could hear a grunt, quickly setting his mind onto Melody. Officer Nam turned the corner and stood frozen at the sight of Melody lying almost dead on the blood splattered floor. Her body bruised and broken looking, he heard his name whispered near his side. He felt the tears building with rage as he looked up to see the man who did it. A tall, skinny pale man, with sholder length brown damp hair, his blue flanle shirt with specks of new blood and stains of old blood. The skinny man was now really close to Officer Nam, he jerked back, but it was too late. The man had already sunk his knife through Officer Nams chest. He stumbled back and fell to the ground in front of the other officer. The officer's reflex quickly triggered the gun through the mans chest and then again through the mans head, then he also fell to the ground. In officer Nams eyes he only saw Melody still lying on the floor but slowly lifting her head to see him on the ground dying. He could see the tears building in her eyes and opening into a scream, she said something. His name. He turned to see his partner standing over him yelling at him, but it was all muffled, so he couldn't understand.

In melody's eyes she saw officer Nam on the ground with a knife in his chest, bleeding to death. She screamed out his name with tears spilling and rolling down her face. She wanted to get up and run to him, but could because of the pain her her ribs and legs. She could only move her head, still scream at the sight of him. Then she saw another officer standing over him yelling at him too, he was yelling his name as well. Very shortly afterwards there a dozen officers rushing in some surrounding them, some splitting up to search the house, and others running to her. Her head slowly started to feel heavy and just layed on the ground, still looking at Officer Nam, now being carried out following the other dead body, but now a blur and soon everything turned black.
