I Am Robot

Description

      Matoki are the new invention of the era, as people have them in homes to submit to their daily lives. They cook, they clean, the wash, the do everything without a single care for their own well being. Practically slaves without a heart or little of anything else. That is until a lonely scientist enginers his own Matoki, using them as a test run for a program that he dreams of installing into his favorite invention. Zelo. 

Foreword

      Visting hours were gruesomely filled with Yongguk, always waiting for his smile. For his laugh. For anything at all, but when he died, Yongguk felt as if he took a part of himself with him fifteen feet under the ground. It would take him years to gain that part of himself back, but still, Zelo wasn't Junhong. Zelo was just an empty can of metal that would never feel anything. Zelo didn't smile and Zelo couldn't love him.

 

      But Yongguk couldn't give up on his dream. He couldn't give up on his dream to see him again because he felt like if he didn't, then he would fall apart all over again.

Chapter 1: That .. Just wow. I really enjoy your writing style, It caused me to feel so many emotions while reading this. It was truly stunning. That ending made me shed a few tears especially since I wasn't expecting it to turn out like that. Please continue to write, I look forward to reading more by you!

Chapter 1: I was so certain this would have a happy ending. For once. I sort of understand why Yongguk didn't wait. It was because he knew he'd have to age and watch Zelo not age? Or was it because Zelo wasn't Yongguk's true past love, and Junhong was. That's really sad. Or was it because he was afraid Zelo would continue malfunctioning and die eventually, regardless?

Chapter 1: I thought this was going to be a happy ending story but I guessed wrong. Yongguk why didn't you wait? Just a bit longer then it would've been perfect but I guess it works out either way. Zelo will find you somehow. Btw author-nim I love the way you wrote this story it is just perfection. I really like this style of writing and man you are good at it. Even without Yongguk's pov you can see the chemistry he has. Yongguk, why did you leave though...

this is only the second story i have read concerning the subject of a human loving a robot. the other one was a shinee fic. it' so hard to capture exactly how tragic this emotions is, the desperation to recreate lost love and i think you did a really beautiful job with it. My favorite parts were the thoughts of the emotionally void zelo. because even though it was all zelo's pov, yongguk's pain was so poignant and zelo's total lack of emotion and understanding made me feel even more desperate for yongguk. it ended a little fast and confusingly but i think this is overall and absolutely stunning piece of work. Really amazing job, thank you.

Chapter 1: It's a very nice piece of writing. Started out quite funny and thought it was going to be just another fic about robot Zelo but the story gradually develops into a sad one .__. But it's a great piece of work! It's very well-written, detailed in many ways but so sad and lonely.

Chapter 1: I absolutely love how you gave the Matoki lives. But then the story is just so... it's painfully heartbreaking. But it's so beautiful. And honestly I don't know what to say anymore because I'm so overwhelmed..
