Amber is aware of how people percieve her... she herself agrees that she isn't pretty like her fellow f(x) members... nor like 99.9% of the idols out there (including some of the male idols). But she had thought he was different... so she built up her confidence and confessed. She honestly expected a rejection... but was honestly surprised at how he rejected her...
