That night, Lay went to Mihyun's house. He needed to explain everything and to apologize too. He admitted to himself he was at fault here. If only he told her that his birthday was on that Monday, this maybe wouldn't happen at all. Mihyun wouldn't be mad and upset with him.

But then things happened. All he could do now was to apologize to her and explain everything to her.

He knocked on Mihyun's door and readied himself to face Mihyun. He was expecting it was her who would open the door but it wasn't her. In fact, it was her mother. "Good evening, Mrs. Kang." He greeted. "Can I talk to Mihyun? We kind of have this little misunderstanding."

"Aw, Lay-shi. That is so sweet of you to come over here but Mihyun isn't here right now." Mihyun's mother said. "She went out to buy something."

"Oh."

"But she will be back in a minute. Just wait for her inside."

"Thank you, ma'am but I think I will just wait for her here outside." He said politely.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, ma'am. I just don't like to bother you."

"Hush, you're not a bother!" Mrs. Kang chuckled. "Okay. If you want to wait for Mihyun here, you may. If you need anything, just knock on the door okay?"

"Yes, ma'am. Thank you." He said. Mrs. Kang then left inside. Lay sighed a deep breath as he turned, hoping to see Mihyun. But she was nowhere in sight. He waited for her for a few minutes...and then, he saw her. She was sipping on her bubble tea while on her phone on her other hand.

"Mihyun-ah." He called her and that was when she looked up. Her eyes went bulged when she saw him.

"L-Lay.." She blinked twice, as if she was just hallucinating or something. "W-What are you doing here?" She managed to ask. She was playing her right foot on the ground. Lay sauntered towards her. Good thing, she didn't back away. He stood almost close to her, his hands inside the pocket of his jacket on either side.

"I want to talk to you." He told her.

"About what?" She looked up and their gazes met.

Lay sighed first before speaking up again. "About my birthday party." Mihyun looked surprised. Maybe she wasn't expecting for me to know it. "It wasn't my idea. You do know I hate parties right? But my friends threw a birthday surprise for me. I swear, it wasn't my idea. I was shocked when they all appeared in my house—"

"W-Why are you explaining this to me, Lay?" She looked confused.

"Because I'm sorry." He breathed out. "I'm sorry that I hurt you. I should've told you about my birthday—"

"N-No, you don't really have to." She cut her off, the same moment she filled the gap between them. "And you don't really have to explain everything to me."

"You're mad at me." He reminded her.

"That was yesterday, Lay."

"I know. I just don't want you to get mad or upset at me." He said, and Mihyun held her head on the ground. Lay raised her head up to meet his eyes. "That is why I'm here. And I want to make it up to you." Mihyun's mouth dropped slightly but she didn't say a word again. Instead, there was a smle slowly forming from her lips.

"W-Well, how will you make it up to me?" She asked and he couldn't help but smile.

"Saturday." He told her. "I'm gonna give you the address in where we should meet." He grinned.

She eyed him. "Are you gonna have a make-up party for me?"

He laughed. The real Mihyun he had known was back. "No, of course not. Just come on Saturday, okay? Six P.M."

Mihyun chuckled. "Okay. Saturday. Six P.M."

"Okay," he started backing away, grinning from ear to ear. "I'll see you tomorrow in school."

She nodded, smiling too. "Yeah, see you." She said then off he walked.

"OMG, like really?" Mihyun's three girl friends squeaked at her when she shared to them about what happened last night when Lay appeared in front of her house the next day in school. They were talking inside the comfort room while puckering their lips in front of the mirror to put some lipstick on.

"What is he up to?" Jungbin wondered. "I wonder what's in store for you this Saturday."

"He said it isn't a make-up party for you, right?"

She shook her head. "He said it isn't."

"I love surprises!" Jisoo exclaimed.

"Um excuse me, Soo but you're not invited this Saturday." Miso reminded Jisoo who was now pouting. They all laughed at their friend. "It's only Lay and Mihyun."

"It's like a date." Jungbin muttered.

"No, of course it's not." Mihyun swept her hand in the air. "It's not a date guys. Cut it off, okay? I refuse to believe that it's some kind of a date. You know..I don't want to assume or ex
