She walked slowly, taking in deep breaths as she walked closer to the edge. She stared hard at the bright, white beam of light in front of her. No matter how far she walked, she wouldn’t get closer. She started to run, but it still did not work. She was running out of breath and so she desperately tried to in air, but she could not. She collapsed onto the floor, her hand reaching out in a desperate attempt to survive.

Why did you turn away when I waved hello? I tried so hard, and in the end, I get nothing.
