Kyungsoo was unable to sleep that night. His throat was really hurting. In fear that he might wake up the sleeping members due to him coughing and clearing his throat often, he got off from his bed and headed towards the kitchen. He switched on lights and sat down at the dining table, hands cupping his face. 

He felt hands rubbing his shoulders and jerked, turning behind to see Jongin standing behind him, looking a little startled. 

“Jongin. You scared me.” He places his hand to his chest, trying to ease the scare that the younger one gave him. Jongin laughs and walked towards the kitchen counter. Kyungsoo eyed him sleepily. “What are you doing Kim Jongin? The kitchen counter is a place where you shouldn’t be” 

Jongin turned back and glared playfully at his hyung. “Shh, watch me” Jongin opened up the top cupboard and took out a jar of honey. He boiled some water and poured three teaspoons of honey in it, stirring till the golden syrup dissolved into the water. He smiled at the simple end product and placed to cup in front of Kyungsoo. 

“Hyung, your throat hurts right? Drink this, you’ll feel better…hopefully.” Jongin places his head on the table and looked up at Kyungsoo who was now staring intently at him. He took the cup in his hand, carefully sipping down the sweet honey water. He closed his eyes and allowed the honey to soothe his throat and he got to admit, it did help a little. 

“D.O hyung, you’re always good at singing and good at dancing. And because you practice a lot, your throat condition isn’t that great, so I’m very worried. I hope you take care of your throat and don’t get sick…I love you” 

His thoughts drifted off to the talk show they had earlier on and Kyungsoo’s attention went back to Jongin who was smiling at him. “Is your throat better now hyung?” Kyungsoo nods his head, giving him a slight smile. Jongin may not show it but he’s always trying to let the other party that he cares for them. 

Kyungsoo was glad and thankful for having Jongin to care for him and he’s secretly glad he’s Jongin’s favourite hyung out of the other ten members in the group. Kyungsoo got up from his chair and went over to Jongin, sitting beside him and carefully laid his head on Jongin’s shoulders. 

“Thank you. I didn’t have the chance to say it but you know, you worked pretty hard yourself too. I’ve seen you practicing and your waist has even been giving you problems lately.” Kyungsoo looked up, shifting himself towards Jongin so that his head was on his chest instead. Jongin gently wraps one of his arms around the elder’s slender waist. 

“When you hurt, my heart hurts too.” Kyungsoo whispered but Jongin heard it pretty clearly. Jongin smiled and lifted up Kyungsoo’s chin to look at him in the eye. In Kyungsoo’s eyes, it was filled with worry for the younger one. 

“Same goes for you hyung. But I’ll be alright with you taking care of me.” Jongin leans down, placing a light and gentle kiss on Kyungsoo’s plump lips. Kyungsoo smiles into the kiss and snuggled closer. 

“Jongin?”

“Yeah hyung?” 

“Mmm…I love you too.”
