Cinderella's crack story (S.L.)

Like a fairytale
Once upon a time,
there was a little girl with blonde hair who had lost both her parents. She lived with her step mother and her twin half sisters in a green fly village, which environed a prodigious castle. But the girl wasn't happy. She was always the poor step child who did all the chores. There she had to do hard work from morning until evening, get up before daybreak, carry water, make the fires, cook, and wash. Besides this, the sisters did everything imaginable to hurt her. They made fun of her, scattered peas and lentils into the ashes for her, so that she had to sit and pick them out again. In the evening when she had worked herself weary, there was no bed for her. Instead she had to sleep by the hearth in the ashes. And because she always looked dusty and dirty, they called her Cinderella.

But, that's a completely different story from the one we will chronicle...

****

"Keviiin! Come here quickly! Wash your sister's clothes! They are dirty." Ordered the peremptory mother.

"What? You want ME, to wash THESE? Nuhh, I'm neither your servant nor even your child. So stop ordering me around." A runty but beautifull boy answered back.

Kevin was a young, good looking boy. His step mother and half brother Alexander treated him like a black sheep. He didn't gave in to them though. He constantly talked back and came into many quarrels with them, living like an ordinary boy with problematic family.

One day, a messenger arrived to their little home. The prince was oraganising a Masquarade Ballroom Dance on his palace and everyone on the village was invited.

"Oh, mother I can't wait to meet the prince! I'm sure that I will impress him as soon as he glance over me. I need my best costume for that. Kevin! Prepare my clothes for the night and be quick" Alexander, was blabbering all around from the sudden shock. He was always looking up to the prince and dreamed of luring him, so as to take him and live together on the palace.

"If you have the slightest idea that I'll spend the least of my time to what you wanna wear, then forget it Xander! I'll be busy, preparing my costume." Kevin growled on his half brother, refusing to even touch his clothing.

"Don't you worry my baby. I'll send it to the dry cleaners' and it should be fine. But you, Kevin? Where do you think you'll go?" Kevin's eyes goggled from what his step mother said.

"Everyone on the village is invited in the dance! That makes me a guest too!" He hissed, staring at his foster relatives.

"I guess that's right. But say Kevin dear, how will you go on a masquarade party without a proper outfit?"  A mischievous smirk formed on Alexander's lips while releasing his Persian cat on the floor and headed to the younger's room.
Kevin tried to stop the evil feline but his brother's grip prevented him for doing so. By the time he arrived at his room, it was too late. All of his clothings were ripped apart or damaged severely. That left him out of formal attire, required for a Ballroom dance.

"That seems really messy, my dear child. You know I'm not opposed to you, being the prince's guest but you don't have any choice other than staying here. Unlesss you find another costume. Then and only then you shall come." Said the arrogant mother, standing behind the devastated boy, gropping the ripped fabrics.

Night came quickly and a charriot waited on the road to lead the family on the palace. Kevin was still staring at the mess, almost crying, while the other two household members were well-dressed and mounted on the vehicle.

The young boy rested his head on his palms and sighed. "I wanted to go on that dance so badly.. If only I could find a formal costume, without having any patches on it" He stepped at the garden and glued his eyes on the starry night sky.

Suddenly, he saw a star falling from the skies. A bright sparkle traveled on his nose and then got blown by a dim breeze. As the speckle of lightning reached a cut log, it started glowing even brighter, making Kevin close his eyes.
By the time he oppened them, a cute boy was sitting, legs-crossed opposite him.

"Hey there Vinnie~ My name is Hoon. I'm your fairy godparent. I heard your wish and I'm here to help you" The uknown face introduced himself.

"Fairy you say? I hope you won't vanish if I tell you that I don't believe in fairies..." he made fun of the new unusual 'family' of his.

"Well, since you are here, it would be so good of you to lend me a costume for the dance. I'd appreciate it. I should be unrecognizable though. It would be troublesome to be found in the ball."

"Hm, what about a dress then? And let's lengthen your hair too.. Cute crystal pumps suits you as well. Oh, I shall not forget your Venetian masque! There you are sweetheart.." The fairy touched Kevin with the magical wand, surrounding the boy with gold dust and sparkles. The grey clothes he was wearing, changed into a beautiful light blue dress which shined like millions of stars have landed on it. His golden hair started growing and twisted in an updo style, leaving a few curls, caressing his swan neck.

The fairy's hands covered Kevin's eyes and when he removed them, a silk black mask replaced them. Then, he snapped at his fingers and a mirror appeared.

"Oh my, is that really me? I knew I was beautiful but now I must be the most beautiful princess in the kingdom." Kevin swayed his blue dress, admiring himself on the mirror.

"Ugh, I can't believe that I'm fulfilling my wish on someone else.. One day, I'll give up everything and become a y princess as well."  Hoon sighed by Kevin's arrogance. "So, you'll need transportation. That pumpkin over there could make a good chariot"

"What?! You expect me to go to the palace on a pumpkin?! Not happening!" The transformed boy crossed his arms and avoided to look at the big vegetable. Hearing a clinging sound he veered his head and faced a white and golden carriage while two mice transformed in a pair of white horses with golden muzzles and strings.

"You still ain' gonna ride?" Kevin's face quitened and changed his mind about the spellbounded pumpkin.
"A last thing and you're ready!" Said Hoon and swinged his wand over an old dog, turning him into a white haired boy driver.
Kevin, overjoyed about the miracle that had just happened, thanked his fairly godparent and entered the charriot.

"Kevin, before you leave I have to tell you. My magic won't keep for long. When the clock shows midnight everything shall disappear." Hoon warned the masquered boy.

"WHAT? What do you mean they'll diasappear? I'll be ?! I don't want to be !" He yelled in shock.

"Huh? Of course not! Why would I do that? Everything will just return to their previous state. Your appearence will be familiar to your stepmother and stepbrother, the charriot will be a pumpkin with two mice etc..." The fairy explained and Kevin sighed in relief.

Then he waved at his benefactor, while the horses started neighing.

The palace looked wonderful under the moonlight. Little lights formed rainbow rivers on the fountains and the trees' leaves whistled by a warm breeze.
Kevin was enchanted by the sight and took his first steps on it, as soon as the vehicle stopped. He met two guards on the entrance that opened the wide door for him. His eyes sparkled behind the black mask when the music reached his hearing and his pumps tapped on the marble floor of the ball room.

His appearence helped him get confidence and started cradling his body to the music's rhyme, mixing up with the crowd.
After a while, the violinist stopped playing and all the guests froze at the dancefloor. A handsome, tall boy with orange fluffy hair, descended the huge stairway. He stopped at the stair landing and smiled to the disguised guests.

"Good evening everyone. I, prince Kim Jaeseop, will be your host for tonight. I hope that you're enjoying yourselves. That would make me really pleased." He said in a calm tone. Then another well dressed boy approached the prince and stood by his side. "Thank you for coming at this party tonight. Please continue dancing and have fun." He added to the prince's speech.

"C'mon AJ! There are so many beautiful girls here. How can you not be interested in anyone?" The raven haired whined at his prince friend as they got on the main hall and took a drink from a passing waiter.

"Uhh.. Eli, you're my best friend since diapers. You should aknowledge that I'm really picky on these matters. Besides, I've seen every girl in this room and none of them was able to even stimulate my curiosity" said the prince and lowered his head, disappointed.

"I saw a girl entering the ball room before. I've never seen her around. Do you know who she is?" Ellison asked the prince and pointed with his drink to the blonde girl, dancing a few steps away.

"Hm, what girl? I didn't see..." Jaeseop's words were cut by the time his eyes met for the first time the beauty herself. "Eli, who- who is that girl?" He asked back with mouth wide open and eyes, reflecting the dancing figure.

Kevin noticed that the prince couldn't take his eyes from him.

"This is my night. And I have to make it perfect. If I look so like a princess, then I should act like one too." The masquered boy thought and started dancing with more vivid moves. The two curly bangs on each side of his neck, were like gold plated ribbons that caressed his skin, while the blue dress embraced and highlighted the slim body.

Jaeseop put his drink down and reached the dancing princess with wide strides, not being able to hold his urge to talk to the beautiful masked girl.
"My lady, would you please dance this song with me?" The prince bowed right before the stunning girl and brought her hand close to his head, kissing the porcelain skin.

The princess looked at the big clock, hanging on the wall upon the stairs. It was already five minutes before midnight.  It was a big risk to accept the dance, but Kevin would sure regret it after if he lose this chance.

"Hm, that's a really tempting proposition prince Jaeseop. I think I'll dance with you but it will be only for five minutes. They should be enough for you. I'm quite busy tonight you know.." said the girl with a playfull sparkle in those pearl eyes, behind the black silk.

"It'll never be enough, being with you. I'm not asking for more though. I would might sound a little too greedy." Jaeseop, zealous for the girl, wrapped slightly his left arm around the ring waist and lifted his right one to meet the beauty's slim fingers.

With little rhythmical steps, the stunning couple started twirling in the center of the marble floor. All the lights were falling on them and so did the guests' eyes, looking in awe the magificient dancers.
Kevin was lost in his own little world, which was reflected by the prince's dark pupils that didn't intend to leave the other figure in his embrace.

A familiar sound echoed through the disguised boy's hearing and brought him to his senses. The clock's pointers united and stopped at the XII sign. Then he broke off his partner's hands and made his way to the front door.
Exiting from the heavy door wing, he tried to run but in vain. The heels were obstructing him from doing so. He gave his problem a solution by throwing the crystal pupms on the side. The same time the prince exited the ball room following the girl.

"Where are you going? I don't even got your name." He shouted at her way but got no answer back as she was already gone at the night's veil.

As the disappointed prince turned around to enter the palace he let a sigh but his glance was captured by a shiny object, a few steps near. He lowered his hands and grabbed the two crystal objects.
"Prove me wrong but I'm quite sure that this whole seen had happened before.. And I can't even remember where.." He cogitated and took his way back in the party, carrying the pumps along.

The next day Kevin woke up in his mattress by his brother's yelling.

"Oh my god, mum! Look out of the window! The prince is here!" His screems were effective as his mother came closer and saw the royal horses waiting outside. She quickly opened the door and greeted the palatine faces. Prince Jaeseop and his best friend Ellison entered the little house.

"Goodmorning ma'am. My prince friend is working under a little case and we want your help if you don't mind." Said Eli.

"Of course my lords, what could I do for you?"

"We want to ask if you have any young daughter that came in our masque ball yesterday night. It is probably that those crystal pumps are hers." The raven haired boy opened an ornated box and relealed the dazzling pair.

The older lady, stunned from the incident, put her mind in work and came with a cunning plan.
"My lords, neither any daughter of mine came in your ball yesterday, nor I even have one. But you see, my dearest son is really keen on crosdressing. And he picked a princess' costume that suited him. I'm sure he is the one you're looking for" she said with determined words and called Alexander to try on the pumps.

Seeing the brunet boy, the prince sighed and turned to his friend. "C'mon Eli.. It's not him, don't struggle anymore. That idea was stupid anyways.."

"Shut your mouth, you grumpy prince. I read this on a fairytale and it pretty much worked! Besides, do you have any other option? He is the last one in the village to try them on." Ellison barked at the not-so-amused prince.

Before Alexander could even approach the precious box, a sound of someone stepping down the stairs, interrupted the procedure.

"What's all this noise down here? Can't even a boy sleep properly so as not to obtain any black circles under his eyes?" Kevin descended the wooden steps while palming his almost flawless face skin.

"This voice.. So arrogant and bossy.. And the flawless feminine body..." Jaeseop spelled, looking the awaken boy with dreamy eyes. "It... It's him.."

"No way! It can't be Kevin! He wasn't even at the ball, how, how did he-" Alexander hissed, observing the outminded prince.

Kevin realised who was the one standing right before his eyes and smiled. "Oh you did find me eventually. And- wait. Are those my shoes? Don't you tell me that this idiot, so called my half brother, was going to try them.. Aside from being too small size for him, I am the only one that these pumps suit!" He yammered at the prince who was utterly detuned by being in front of his dream boy-princess.

"Come in my palace and live with me Kevin." Jaeseop squashed, grabbing the boy's hands close to his heart as he pulled him closer.

"What?! Jaeseop are you nuts? I have a bossy boyfriend too, living in the palace with us. Isn't he too much troublesome on his own, already? You wish to double the nuisance?" The raven boy tried to change his friend's mind whose brain probably was disfunctional, but couldn't change a single thing as Jaeseop was lovestruck and determined to be with Kevin.
"Ahh... Fine! Now let's go back please.." Finally subsiding, Eli let a loud sigh and facepalmed his own face.

The boys exited the little house and rode on their horses, this time with Kevin sitting in, right in front of the prince. Then they headed to the palace, leaving Alexander and his mother at the threshold with jaws, dropping on the ground.

Chapter 4: Wow I really really really love how you wrote this! I love the changes that still stuck to the original plot and... Acsgdhdjjd, this certainly became one of my faves!
I think my favourite part was the scene in front of Kiseop's door and what followed, the way Kiseop noticed Eli's eyes and the way Eli knew he noticed. I guess I'm a er for these little suspence/hinted moments xD
I can't wait to see more in the future!
