The Silver Case and The Start

It's Easier to Say Hello than Goodbye

The raven haired boy sighed as he saw what was supposed to be his family’s new home. The seventeen year old

boy watched as a few of the things that belonged to them were transferred into his new home. Suho disliked the fact

that they had to leave his old home. It was all too hassling for him, the change of houses, schools, friends, it was all

too hard. He entered the house and walked around. It was a normal two story house that looked a little too refined

for his taste. The items which they did not bring were Vintage. The couch was pure leather and the aura of the

whole has clearly screamed posh.

“Suho, why don’t you go up and look at your new room? Then after that you could check the attic.” His mother

shouted from the kitchen. He walked up the marble stairs and headed for the room that was at the end of the

hallway. He cautiously opened the door and peaked through it. The room was painted sky blue and the floor was

wooden. In the corner was a bed that had been attach to a study area. A huge closet was at the opposite side of the

bed and other than that, the room was empty. He walked to the bed and threw himself into it. He rolled on the bed

until he saw something dangling from its post. He reached out to it and pulled it off. It was a key attached unto a

steel chain. It looked different from the usual keys that could be found. It was silver and had initials on its head.

“W.Y….” Suho whispered softly. He wondered as to why would the previous owners leave it, but he just shrugged

it off and wore it around his neck. He left the room in search of the stairs to the attic. He walked around the second

floor until he noticed a small plastic ring dangling from the ceiling. Out of curiosity, he pulled the ring and revealed a

case of stairs. He climb up the stairs and went up to the attic. As his eyes adjusted to the dimly lighted room, the

first thing he noticed was the dust that covered everything. He walked around the attic and saw a silver case sitting

on top of a very dusty desk. He brushed of the dust and read the words in front of the case.

“This belongs to Wu Yifan. Anyone who touches it shall be severely punished.” Now Suho was confused. Was this

house owned by a dictator? He tried to open the case, only to notice it was locked with some sort of key. He

wondered where he would find the key when he suddenly remembered he had it. He scolded himself for being

stupid and removed the key around his neck. He prayed to the heavens that it would be the right key. He inserted

the key into the key hole and turned it slowly. He released a breath that he did not know he kept in when he heard a

soft click. He hastily opened it only to see two pieces of paper, no more, no less. He picked up the paper on top

cautiously as it looked like it were about to break and silently read it.

"For whoever is reading this right now, my I tell you not to continue. If you still want to, it is not my fault

anymore. Please do forget what had been written here for it is not worth your time. This will not be as easy

as reading a novel since I have already planned of scattering the papers that had been placed in this. This

contains the story of my life. Of how my heart experienced happiness. How my heart was ripped into

shreads. This contains how my life turned into a bloody nightmare. Stop if you wish not to continue. For

those who wish to continue, your quest starts at the next page."

Suho looked at the back of the paper to see if there was anything written on it. When he was sure that it was nothing more than an empty back he switched to the other paper.

"August 26,

I walked through the dark hallways of my home. There was nothing more monotomous than this house,

where the maids constantly try to flirt with me and cry afterwards as I threaten to take away their only

means of living. I looked out of the window, trying to find something that would catch my attention. Then I

saw him. His skin was pale and looked so fragile while his hair was hazelnut brown. He was playing with

some annoying kids from our neighborhood who constantly try to become my friend. He seemed to feel my

piercing gaze because he suddenly looked up to the window that I was at. Our eyes met. His eyes were

beautiful, they reflected nothing, but innocence. A blush crept unto his cheeks and he looked away. I

chuckled at his innocence. That innocence which I wanted to taint so much. Call me a sadist, but I love the

way people beg for mercy, the way their tears fall from their eyes and the way I break their hearts or bones

whichever it is. This boy has caught my attention, the Dragon, the demon, Satan's spawn. It was a wrong

move to catch my attention because once I grow attach to it, I never let go.
W.Y"

Suho felt the hair at the back of his neck stand up as he read the last sentence. He looked at the back of the paper and saw only two words written in the middle of it.
