Chapter 1:
Ren P.O.V
Recently I've been moved into this horrible place called 'Pledis Adoptions'. A place for well..You know? Adoptions.
So far I hate this place. The staff here isn't anything like I had expected. They weren't the least bit kind. I sort of thought they would pay more attention to you,
or act the least bit like they had cared. But that wasn't the case at all. They didn't hurt you or anything. It was more like they ignored your existence.
They didn't care if you were depressed, lonely, or needed caring for. They were there just for their paychecks and nothing more.
It doesn't make me upset. I'd rather be treated poorly then have them act like they care when they really don't give a .
I've learnt to like being alone. Its a rather calm feeling.
I don't have to worry about anyone or anything. Its sort of like a feeling of relief.
Anyways, some of you might be wondering why I'm in this prison they call an adoption center. Well as I said previously, I like to be alone.
Thats because thats all Ive been exposed to was the feeling of loneliness. Very rarely did I get attention at my home. When I did, it would just end up with me
laying on the ground screaming for dear life.
But there was this one time..
-Flashback-
''Appa please!, I'm sorry!'' I screamed as I struggled to hold back my tears.
I knew that if I let them slip he would only punish me further for being an annoying crybaby.
I tried to writhe my way out of Appa's grasp which only made him more angry.
He then grabbed me by my long blonde locks, throwing me against the mirror shattering it to many pieces.
''I didn't raise you to be a ! How could you dishoner your family like this!?'' Father screamed right next to my ear.
I cringed hearing the fury in his voice.
''I'm the one who's dishonering this family? Look at you! You're beating your own son!'' I managed to choke out.
It went silent for a moment. He stared at me, eyes that could kill. .
That was the final straw for my father. He roughly ripped of my shirt, then grabbing a piece of the glass that was once apart of the mirror,
he began to slowly drag it down my once beautiful pale skin. I watched the blood slowly drip from my chest. The man I no longer could call a father started to carve
numerous letters onto my skin. ''F.A.I.L.U.R.E.'' I hated that word. I hated it so much. Because I knew it was true. I knew I was a failure. I had been my whole life.
Now I have it permantly marked on my skin forever, I will now always be reminded of how horrible I am, how much of a burden I was to my family.
After my father had carved those words deep into my skin, I gave him a look of pure disgust and hatred. Tears were now streaming down my face.
Just as I thought my father was done, he dragged me into the kitchen by my arms, while digging his nails deep into my skin.
Once we reached the kitchen he threw me aside like I was nothing. The man started chuckling evily under his breath as he opened one of the drawers,
pulling out a large kitchen knife. I was now screaming, for I knew what was about to come. I can't die. Not yet. I still have my whole life ahead of me. I want to find love, to
have a family of my own.
My father started making his way towards me, while having a huge grin on his face. ''Appa no! Please no!'' I screamed on the top of my lungs.
My father was almost to me when the doorbell rang.
Thank God! Thank you thank you thank you.
My father had a panicked expression on his face as he looked at me. ''You, stay here. Don't make one peep, if you do, you're dead. Literally'' He said in a hushed tone.
I gave him a convincing nod.
He made his was to the door, opening it. '' Ah, hello Mrs. Kwang. Do you need anything, I'm kind of busy at the moment.'' He said in a sickly sweet tone of voice.
''Uh, yes actually. I heard some loud screams coming from your house..I wanted to know is everything alright?'' she said peaking around my father trying
to get a better view of his home. ''Yes, everyth--'' I decided to take a risk and cut him off. ''Help me miss!! Please get help, get someone!''
My father quickly slammed the door of the house leaving a terrified Mrs. Kwang at the steps.
''DID YOU NOT HEAR WHAT I JUST SAID! Now you're really gonna get it !'' He ran to me slamming into kitchen counter. I could feel pain shoot through
my back as he did this. ''Well, I hope you had a good 19 years of your life kid.'' He said as he wrapped his hands around my throat.
''Might as well have my fun with you. After what you just did I'm going to jail anyways''
He tightened his grasp around my throat. Tighter.Tighter.And tighter. Blackness was starting to close in on me, when all of a sudden, three large police men rammed our door down.
The men rushed around the house eventually finding my father's hands clenched around my neck, and blood everywhere.
I was saved.
-end of flasback-
Soon after they put me in this place, In hope of me finding a better family.
Hmph, what a joke.
A/N Sorry for the short chapter. ;-; I promise further chapters will be longer. :D
Anyways, I hope you liked it. I was super nervous about posting this..
