I never wanted anything more than eternal happiness. I knew I had fallen in love the moment he walked through those university doors. 

"Hello I'm Seohyun" I eventually plucked up the courage to approach him.

"Thank God I finally know your name." He turned bright red in the face.

We laughed so much that day. We shared the most humilating memories.

Time went by. We were unseparable. We were in love. It became far too serious to ignore any further. I finally spoke to my parents after years of dating. I had been dating him for five years when I finally confessed. I had declined so many blind dates from my parents. I knew it was only natural they would disown me.

Though I've never been prepared. I'm still shocked.

But today, we're going to see them. It's been three years since I last saw my parents. I remembered the row we had the day of my marriage- the last time our eyes met as family. That day will never cease to haunt me.

But today, we're seeing them.

My mother invited me to a family reunion. She told me to bring my family.

So, here I am.

"Ready?" I turn to my husband who is driving. He smiles at me.

"Let's go visit Mom and Dad." He assures me of his confidence. I turn to see my two year old baby daughter grin at me happily.

"You're going to see Grandma and Grandad!" I excited her.

We're at the door. I look inside the window to see if my pictures are still up. In place of my own pretty face lies a dog. I suddenly feel sick to the core. Something's not right.
