Who would have known that he would end up finding himself in this kind of situation? Young Jae had always been the type to fully think out whether something was a good idea, to take the utmost caution with his experiments, and not once think about dating. Well, he did, but he had it planned that he would date a woman at twenty-eight, married at thirty, and then children at either thirty-one or thirty-two. But had things gone according to his plans?

Nope.

This nonexistent entity that just seemed to either have some sort of infatuation with him or they simply take joy in seeing him suffer. Ever since Wednesday, Young Jae had been avoiding Daehyun like the plague. Why? Well, Daehyun just seemed to grow even more.. clingy than before. How the heck was he supposed to deal with that?! Daehyun really was just an overgrown child! Even Jongup seemed to act more mature than his father. It was simply ridiculous that such a thing was even remotely possible.

Now, how exactly had he been able to avoid Daehyun? Well, since they had the same work hours, Young Jae had taken the initiative to car pool with Himchan. His excuse? Well, it saved money as much as Daehyun wanted to argue otherwise, Young Jae just happened to have the statistics to keep Daehyun from saying anything else. As for the other times, Young Jae made sure that his schedule was always full. Young Jae had even gotten the papers necessary to adopt Jongup. How did he get it so fast? Let’s just say that he had connections.

But now..

He had the day off today. There was no avoiding Daehyun this time, especially since they had decided to go to the zee today. Furrowing his eyebrows, Young Jae examined himself in the mirror. He looked adequate for the time being. Young Jae currently had a bit of make up on his face. Just a bit. He didn’t know how the blasted things work. As for his clothes, he was wearing a white v-neck shirt underneath a fully black, button up shirt that had only the topmost button ed as well as his sleeves being folded up to his elbows. He also had on black skinny jeans as well as black and white converse on. Crossing his arms, Young Jae felt as if something was missing, but he just couldn’t put his finger on it.

This bothered him... greatly.

It did not matter though. It didn’t make any sense for him to try and look his best when looked adequate was acceptable enough. Had this been an experiment, then adequate could never be enough. Letting out a sigh, Young Jae pulled his messenger bag on over his shoulder before turning and making his way out of his bedroom. The second his eyes landed on Jongup’s grinning face, he instantly furrowed his eyebrows. “Why aren’t you at work?” (YJ)

“I have Saturday off!” (JU) Young Jae let out a slightly irritated sigh. Seeing Jongup all dressed up and ready made him instantly think that Jongup was coming along. Well, he didn’t have too much of a problem with that. As long as he wasn’t alone with that damn Daehyun, then it should be alright. Plus, Jongup had to see his parents is what he assumed. Young Jae could tell that Jongup at least loved his mother, so it made sense. “Are you ready to go? Dad should be waiting downstairs already.” (JU)

“Yea.. yea. Let’s just get going already.” (YJ) Jongup eagerly led the way out of the apartment with Young Jae following close behind. After closing and locking the door, he looked down the hallway to see Jongup jumping up and down, waving his arms around. Why the heck did he get stuck with a son that was way too similar to his father?!

“Come on, mom! I already called the elevator!” (JU) Jongup turned and instantly ran back over to the table, putting himself in between the elevator doors. Young Jae took his time as he tried to figure out how best to avoid Daehyun. It really did seem like the best thing to do was to focus as much on Jongup as possible. Maybe then, Daehyun would cling onto him less often.

Finally stepping onto the elevator, Jongup pulled himself on to finally let the elevator doors close. Jongup eagerly pressed the button as the elevator slowly began heading down towards the ground floor. Young Jae leaned against the back wall with his arms crossed. He just couldn’t figure out whether he wanted to do this or not. “Hey mom. Where are we going anyway?” (JU)

Young Jae’s left eyebrow twitched. Jongup was so excited, but he didn’t even know where they were going? Young Jae closed his eyes as he tilted his head, pinching the bridge of his nose. Jongup was lucky that he was his adorable son, or else he would have started beating some sense into him. Yes, Young Jae had to admit. Jongup was definitely... adorable. Now, he clearly wasn’t going to admit it out loud. That was not happening any time soon. “Mom?” (JU)

“We’re going to your parents first to give the money and have them sign the paperwork. Afterwards, we will go to the zoo.” (YJ) Young Jae could already sense the excitement practically radiating off the teenager. Was it smart to bring Jongup along after all? Possibly. At least Young Jae would be heavily focused on keeping Jongup under check rather than giving any sort of attention to Daehyun.

Soon, the elevator doors opened and they stepped off. Looking around the lobby, they could see that it was currently deserted. That... was a problem. Why? Well, Daehyun was supposed to be here, waiting for them already. Young Jae furrowed his eyebrows as he turned to look at an equally confused Jongup. “Well? I thought you said that your father would be waiting here for us.” (YJ)

“I-I don’t know why he isn’t here! He just said that he would be here waiting for us already!” (JU) Young Jae let out an irritated sigh before turning back around. It took him a moment to process, but once he did, his eyes widened as he instantly pushed the older male away.

“W-WHAT THE HELL?! Do you WANT to get killed?!” (YJ) Young Jae wiped his mouth, glaring at the now grinning Daehyun. Where the heck did Daehyun come from anyway?! “Where the heck were you?! You weren’t there earlier!” (YJ)

“I was outside. Our ride is here.” (DH) Ride? Did he mean that police car? Was it even okay for him to just up and take it when he was off duty? Young Jae was pretty certain that it wasn’t, but it was better than taking the bus or a cab all over the place. Those things were pretty expensive, especially when it came to New York.

Now that Young Jae had calmed down just a wee bit, he took that brief moment to examine Daehyun. A single brow rose as he continued to stare at Daehyun, taking longer than the brief moment he had planned to take. Starting from the bottom, Daehyun was currently wearing white sneakers as well as white, ripped-up skinny jeans. He had on some sort of really long, white vest that seemed to really flow at the bottom. Then his shirt was a striped, long-sleeved, white shirt that was see-through at every other stripe.

This, is what confused Young Jae as well as made him turn a bit red. Why the heck was Daehyun wearing a shirt like that?! Did he WANT everyone staring at his beautifully toned body?! Wait.. did he just call Daehyun’s body.. beautiful? And was Daehyun also wearing.. eyeliner?! What exactly was Daehyun up to, to be wearing such things and causing Young Jae to think things he certainly did not mean?! This was definitely something that Young Jae wouldn’t consider normal, even for Daehyun! “Why are you staring?” (DH)

“Staring? Who said I was staring?! I never once said that I was staring, and even if I were, I was definitely NOT staring at your body and thinking that it was beautiful to the point that I just wanted to rip your clothes off and tou-!” (YJ) Young Jae instantly slapped his own face before turning away, crossing his arms. WHAT THE HECK WAS HE DOING?! What the HECK was he saying?! This was ridiculous! How could he spout such nonsense out loud and in front of not JUST Daehyun, but also Jongup?! He could feel the stares from the two, but he was choosing to pretend like he didn’t care. “LET’S JUST GO!” (YJ)

Young Jae stormed off past the completely surprised Daehyun. Once Daehyun had processed what just happened, he soon found himself grinning before wrapping an arm around Jongup’s shoulders and pulling the young teenager along. Jongup, whom was completely confused also, only followed along. He really was hoping to figure out what just happened.

Young Jae crossed his arms as he looked around with a completely annoyed look. He didn’t see the police car anywhere around. Turning to look at Daehyun, he tapped his foot impatiently before Daehyun and Jongup finally made their way over to him. “Well? Where’s the police car? I thought you said you had a car.” (YJ)

“I do have a car! I didn’t bring the police car though. My car from the shop finally got fixed up, so I brought that instead! That means I can drive you to work instead of Himchan!” (DH) Young Jae’s left eyebrow twitched once again. Great. That meant he couldn’t exactly find a good excuse to get a ride from Himchan anymore. “Come on! It’s over here!” (DH)

Daehyun took a hold of both Young Jae’s and Jongup’s wrists before he pulled them along happily towards the parking lot. He came to a stop in front of a white Hyundai. Young Jae didn’t necessarily like the Hyundai brand, even if it was Korean. From what he heard from various colleagues and relatives, even if Hyundai was inexpensive, it was more prone to breaking down. Maybe that was why Daehyun’s car was at the shop for so long. “Come on. Let’s get going.” (DH)

“Is this car even rideable?” (YJ)

“Yea! It’s almost like it’s brand new!” (DH) Daehyun unlocked the car doors and everyone got into the car. Young Jae was the last one in, being quite reluctant about entering a car that could break down at any moment. With the engine sparked to life, the trio were soon on their way back to Jongup’s parents. “Hey Jongup! You excited to officially becoming our son?” (DH)

“Yea! It’ll be really great! I can’t wait!” (JU) Because of both Jongup and Daehyun’s puppy dog faces, they had somehow managed to convince Young Jae to let Jongup go to school next week. Jongup had mentioned something about wanting to go to school after he officially became their child. His argument was that so he could tell people happily about his parents rather than not really knowing what to tell them when asked. “How long will it take to get there?” (JU)

“With traffic, it might take us forty-five minutes again.” (DH) Young Jae sighed. At least Daehyun couldn’t cling onto him, not that he minded or anything. YES, he DID mind if Daehyun clung onto him! What, was Daehyun some sort of koala or something?! He could keep his damn hands to himself! Young Jae instantly jumped as he slapped Daehyun’s away the second it even remotely touched his left hand. “What? I just wanted to hold your hand!” (DH)

“I don’t care! Don’t touch me! You’re driving!” (YJ) Young Jae did NOT want Daehyun crashing because he wanted to hold his hand nor did he even want Daehyun holding his hand to begin with! Daehyun seemed to be moving too fast for Young Jae’s liking and he was quite tempted to slap Daehyun, if it wasn’t for the fact that he was driving.

“Okay, I’m sorry. I’ll keep my eyes on the road.” (DH) Daehyun didn’t get it. He tried his best to get Young Jae’s attention. Even though Young Jae had said that Daehyun didn’t have to worry about losing Young Jae to anyone else, Daehyun couldn’t help but worry. Maybe.. he was trying a bit too hard. Yea, that had to be it. Daehyun just had to tone it down. It wouldn’t do him any good if he ended up chasing Young Jae away, but.. he couldn’t help it. He really really REALLY liked Young Jae and he just didn’t want to end up losing him.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Entering the apartment building, they stepped onto the elevator once more as they made their way up. Young Jae had his arms crossed, standing at the opposite end away from Daehyun. Jongup looked between the two, seeing a sort of sad look on his father’s face before turning to look at Young Jae. “Mom.. are you mad at Dad?” (JU)

“No, I am not angry at your father.” (YJ)

“Then how come you’re not standing next to him like you used to?” (JU) Young Jae let out a sigh. Was it that obvious that he was slightly annoyed with Daehyun? He didn’t want Jongup to notice this, but apparently he had done so anyway. Sooner or later, he knew that he was going to have to talk to either of them about it anyway.

“Daehyun. Stop being clingy. You’re moving too fast and I don’t like it. You hear me?” (YJ) Young Jae turned to look at Daehyun, whom nodded happily. Daehyun was glad that Young Jae was finally talking to him about it. It was better than being left out in the dark like before. This at least allowed Daehyun to try and think about how he should give enough space for Young Jae to the point that he wasn’t considered being clingy. “You promise?” (YJ)

“I promise!” (DH) Daehyun grinned, causing Young Jae to smile a bit. Normally, Young Jae didn’t believe in promises, swears, or anything along those lines. However, he just felt like it was something important to use with Daehyun. Daehyun seemed like the type to want to uphold those kinds of things, so it was at least worth a shot.

“Fine. You can.. hold my hand now.” (YJ) Young Jae turned away as Daehyun instantly came up close to Young Jae, taking a quick hold of Young Jae’s hand and holding it tightly. Young Jae turned a bit red for having even accepted such a thing, but it’s not like he could do anything about it. He had ignored Daehyun long enough to let him have some sort of reward.

Soon enough, the elevator came to a stop before opening its doors. The trio stepped off with Jongup leading the way once more. Young Jae glanced down at Daehyun’s hand, trying to suppress a smile. Why did he like holding Daehyun’s hand so much?! Is it possible that he actually really liked the older male? Well.. he has heard of crazier theories, so this one wasn’t too far from being a possibility.

Stopping in front of the apartment door, Young Jae was about to knock on it when Jongup beat him to it. Young Jae rose a single brow as Jongup slightly turned to look at his parents with a nervous smile. “I... I feel more confident this time.” (JU)

Young Jae couldn’t help but smile like a proud parent. Jongup, although technically already grown up, was growing up. Young Jae was rather curious what Jongup was like as a child, but that would have to wait for another time. He turned his attention to the door once it opened, the same drunk father answering the door as before. Just as before, he had a grin on his face the second he saw them. “Ah! Welcome, welcome! I was beginning to think that you’d never show back up ‘ere!” (DM)

Just as before, Jongup’s father went into the bedroom while the trio made their way back onto the couch that they had previously occupied. Young Jae would see that the place looked a little tidier than before, though he assumed that they probably ran out of clean clothes to wear and had finally decided to do their laundry. “Are you nervous?” (DH)

Young Jae turned to look at the other two, seeing Jongup nodding his head slightly. Daehyun chuckled as he ruffled Jongup’s hair. Young Jae couldn’t help but feel as if they really did look like a father and son. Well, with how old Daehyun was, it was more like they were brothers, but they was with technicalities. “Don’t worry. Everything will go smoothly!” (DH)

“What makes you so sure?” (JU) Jongup looked up at Daehyun, seeing the certainty in his father’s eyes. He always did wonder how Daehyun could be so certain about everything. Even when his father was wrong, he always just seemed to shine brightly. Jongup admired him for that.

“Because it’s a possibility! If it works for other people, then it can work for us too.” (DH) Young Jae shook his head, but... it was technically true. If it has happened with others, why not them? Young Jae looked up at the ceiling, raising a single eyebrow. Was his nonexistent entity going to show any mercy for this moment also? Or was Young Jae going to have to beg for it again like he had done so the other day?

Before he could think on it any further, Jongup’s parents entered the living room. They took their seats as they stared at different people. Jongup’s father was staring greedily at Young Jae while his mother was staring worriedly between Daehyun and Jongup. “So.. you got the money?” (DM)

“A check, with an extra five-hundred dollars added onto it.” (YJ) Young Jae could see the drunkard contemplating on it. Young Jae had anticipated in advance that Jongup’s father might not accept a check, so he had included five-hundred more dollars as a... well, bribe really. He didn’t need anymore delays in his schedule after all. “Sign the papers and I’ll hand the check over as soon as you both have finished.” (YJ)

“Lemme see it first.. yanno.. so I know ya’ gots it.” (DM) Young Jae opened his messenger bag and pulled out a small piece of paper. He held the check for the father to see it well enough before placing the adoption papers onto the table. The father thought on it once more before he quickly took a hold of a nearby pen and began signing wherever it was necessary.

His mother, however, was hesitant. As soon as Jongup’s father finished signing, he quickly handed the pen over to his wife. She leaned in and hovered the tip of the pen over the first line, but she froze. She thought for a brief moment before looking up at Jongup. He was her baby boy after all, so it was a bit difficult for her to just give him up to anyone. She looked over at Daehyun, needing reassurance about this choice. “You will... take really good care of my Jonguppie.. right?” (MM)

“Yes Ma’am. I promise you that I’ll do everything in my power to make sure that Jongup grow up as a good citizen.” (DH) Feeling the confidence and reassurance through Daehyun’s voice and gaze, Jongup’s mother nodded as she looked back down and began signing the papers. Once she was done, she looked through the papers once more before handing them over to Young Jae, whom gave the check in exchange. The father quickly pocketed the check as he grinned and made his way into the bedroom.

“Can I... can I possibly visit Jonguppie from time to time?” (MM)

“Yes, you may. Only you, however. Here, I’ll give you the address and our phone numbers.” (YJ) Young Jae pulled out a small notebook and a pen before he began writing the necessary information. Once everything was written down, Young Jae tore the page out of the notebook and handed it over to Jongup’s mother, whom shakily took it. She looked over the information once before folding it and putting it away into her own pocket. “Please call at least two days in advance so that we can prepare for your visit.” (YJ)

“Y-Yes... I will. Thank you so very much..” (MM) Everyone got to their feet and Jongup’s mother led the trio to the door. She gave Jongup a tight and long hug before they said their goodbyes and the trio was now making their way towards the elevator.

“See? It went well like I had expected.” (DH) Jongup nodded happily, though he couldn’t help but feel sad about leaving his mother behind. Maybe his running away had changed her. Before, she had not once shown him any acknowledgment whatsoever. Now though, she had actually cried about being separated from him and she even cried when they reunited. It didn’t make any sense to him.

“Where is this zoo that we’re going to anyway?” (YJ) Young Jae, for some reason, had not once thought about inquiring any information from Daehyun about it. He didn’t know why it had slipped his mind, but it had. It didn’t matter all too much though. At least he was asking about it now.

“It’s in the Bronx. We’re heading to the Bronx Zoo.” (DH) How far away was that from here? Young Jae wasn’t necessarily sure, but just like Daehyun’s now grumbling stomach, Young Jae was starting to feel hungry also. Now that he thought about it though, when was Daehyun never hungry?

“Let’s go eat first. We haven’t had anything to eat yet and it’s almost noon.” (YJ) Daehyun and Jongup eagerly nodded their heads as the trio stepped onto the elevator, soon making their way down to the ground floor.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Where do you wanna eat?” (DH) Young Jae looked around, trying to think. He didn’t really know what he felt like eating at the moment. In a way, Young Jae felt like he didn’t really care what he ate as long as it was good. Jongup, however, definitely had an idea about what he wanted to eat.

“Let’s eat at my job! I get a discount since I work there!” (JU) Young Jae instantly perked up the second he heard discount. What? Could Young Jae help it if he wanted to save money? After all, if one didn’t save money, then they wouldn’t have the necessary funds for when an emergency were to show up.

“We are eating there. Let’s go.” (YJ) Daehyun nodded as he turned the corner and began making their way to Sushi Seki. Young Jae thought for a moment though. Was it really a good idea to eat there? It was pretty far and once there, he most likely wouldn’t want to go to the zoo anymore. With a sigh, he turned his head to Daehyun. “I don’t want to go to the zoo anymore.” (YJ)

“What? Why?” (DH)

“It’s too far. I would rather go somewhere closer. We can go to the zoo next week.” (YJ) Young Jae gave a quick glance to Jongup and he could see the disappointment clear on Jongup’s face. Even when Young Jae looked back at Daehyun, he could see disappointment there too. Had they been wanting to go to the zoo that badly? The zoo was interesting, but it wasn’t THAT interesting. “So, figure out where we should go after we eat.” (YJ)

“Okay. I’ll try.” (DH) It was a bit easier said than done. Sure, there usually was something to do in New York, but it’s not like he was a whole travel brochure on the best places to go to. The only thing that really seemed to come to mind was heading to the mall, but he wasn’t entirely sure if Young Jae would go with that idea. He could always drive them to the zoo anyway. It’s not like it was that far anyway.

“But... I wanna go to the zoo!” (JU) Young Jae turned to look at Jongup, whom was looking at Young Jae with desperation on his face. Young Jae only stared though. Why was Jongup acting like this?! He’s supposed to be acting like an adult, not like a little kid! Young Jae was certain that he himself had not acted like this when he was a child. Then again, he did not have the same background as Jongup did.

“Are you certain? There is nowhere else that you want to go today?” (YJ) Jongup nodded, a glint of hope showing in his eyes as he stared at his mother. Young Jae furrowed his eyebrows before sitting back in his seat, crossing his arms and staring out through the windshield. “Fine. We’ll go to the zoo today.” (YJ)

“YAY! That means we can get a puppy too, right?” (JU)

“Now you’re asking for too much.” (YJ) Just as Young Jae finished his sentence, a droplet of water soon hit the windshield. Young Jae furrowed his eyebrows as the amount of water increased before soon, Daehyun was forced to slow down his driving speed. “Guess we can’t go to the zoo today..” (YJ)

“Aww....” (JU) Jongup looked out the window with a saddened look on his face as he crossed his arms. Daehyun looked in his rear view mirrored and chuckled a bit as he saw Jongup’s pouting face. It was rather cute really, but with the weather the way it was, it’s not like they could do anything about it.

“Do you want a toy? We could go to the toy store.” (DH) Jongup perked up, turning his head slowly towards Daehyun. A toy? What kind of toy was his parents going to get him? Jongup hasn’t had a toy in a long while and it would be nice if he could get at least one.

“What kind of toy?” (JU)

“Whatever you want.” (DH) Young Jae turned his head to Daehyun, raising a single brow as he looked at the older male. Was it really wise to be spoiling their son like this? If they spoiled him, then Jongup was going to want to always want things and expect to get them.

“Oh! How many things can I get?!” (JU)

“Only two.” (YJ)

“No.. at least four.” (DH)

“Daehyun... only two.” (YJ)

“Why are you being so restrictive on Jongup?” (DH)

“Why are YOU trying to spoil him too much?” (YJ)

“Because he deserves to be spoiled. I don’t understand why you only want to get him two things.” (DH)

“Because I don’t want him to have to rely on us for every single thing that he wants.” (YJ) Daehyun quickly glanced over at Young Jae before turning his attention back onto the road. He could see that Young Jae was clearly getting angry about this, but Daehyun just didn’t think that it was fair only to get two things for Jongup.

“Well, I don’t see the problem with it just this one time.” (DH) One time? Did Daehyun honestly think that it would only be just this one time? Children always wanted things and most likely, Jongup was going to ask continously for stuff. Either that, or Daehyun was going to spoil Jongup too much. He didn’t like that Daehyun thought that it would only be this ‘one time’.

“It’s not going to be just this one time. You always spoil people Daehyun and I don’t want you spoiling him now.” (YJ)

“You need to loosen up! Come on. It’s just toys!” (DH)

“That’s EXACTLY why! Toys are useless things! He does not NEED toys! If anything, he should be getting books or educational games! He doesn’t NEED toys!” (YJ) Young Jae didn’t like that Daehyun was trying so hard to get toys for Jongup. Jongup was just going to get distracted by these said toys and he didn’t approve one bit.

“At least get him three toys if not four! Come on Young Jae. Have a heart.” (DH)

“A heart? A HEART?! You want me to get a freaking heart?! I only want what’s best for Jongup and here you are, trying to corrupt him with thinking that education isn’t important!” (YJ)

“I never said that! Young Jae, I just want him to have fun while he’s still young! It isn’t fair for him to have to always study!” (DH) Jongup sat awkwardly in his seat, looking at his parents. He didn’t expect them to suddenly start arguing over getting a toy for him and it made him feel bad. He would have said something, but after his experience with his biological father, he was a bit too scared to.

“FINE! Do whatever you want, I don’t care!” (YJ) Young Jae crossed his arms as he leaned against the car door. He was annoyed, angry, and frustrated with Daehyun. Fun?! Was it even necessary to have fun?! When he was a kid, he always studied so Jongup could do the same thing! It was just as fun to study too!

“Young Jae..” (DH)

“No! Don’t you YOUNG JAE me! Do what you want! Go ahead, I don’t care! It’s not my money that’s being spent!” (YJ) The car soon came to a stop at a red light. Daehyun looked over to Young Jae and pouted a bit as he reached forward, placing a hand on Young Jae’s thigh. Young Jae instantly glared at Daehyun’s hand before looking up at him. “Don’t stare at me like that.” (YJ)

“Young Jae..” (DH)

“Stop it! You’re too freaking cute, Okay?! Is that what you wanted to hear, huh?! Cause I am so DAMN attracted to you! FINE! I’ll freaking forgive you, just stop with the damn face already!” (YJ) Young Jae moved Daehyun’s hand away before crossing his arms once more and looking out the window. Yes, he was still mad at Daehyun, but at the same time.. Young Jae was starting to feel a bit calmer. Why the heck did Daehyun do this to him?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Jongup! What are you doing here?” (Z) Jongup turned a bit red as he looked at the host that was currently on duty today. Young Jae looked from the host to Jongup, raising a single brow. Why was Jongup red?

“I.. I’m eating here with my parents today.” (JU) The host looked at the two older males. A single eyebrow rose before he smiled and stood up, bowing a bit. He hadn’t met Jongup’s parents before and not once had Jongup even mentioned them!

“Wow! Hello! I’m Junhong Choi, but you can call me Zelo! I work with Jongup! He’s my GREATEST friend in the whole wide world!” (Z) Great. Another hyperactive person to meet. Wasn’t it enough that he was stuck with Daehyun and Jongup? Well, at least this Zelo kid wasn’t his kid or else he’d be a bit annoyed at the moment. “You’re his parents? Does that mean that you two are gay?” (Z)

“Z-Zelo!” (JU) Zelo looked at Jongup with a bit of a confused expression on his face before realization finally hit him. Zelo turned red as he began bowing multiple times as rapidly as possible, each time nearly hitting his head on the desk in front of him.

“I-I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to be rude! I was just curious!” (Z) Young Jae quickly stepped in, keeping the young kid from bowing yet again. It was starting to get him annoyed and as nice as the kid was, Young Jae wouldn’t hesitate from slapping some sense into this kid.

“It’s fine, just stop.. doing that. Yes, we are gay. Do you have a problem with that?” (YJ) Zelo instantly shook his head, waving his arms in a defensive manner.

“N-No! I don’t have a problem with that at all! I’ve just never met gay people before! What’s it like?” (Z) Young Jae turned around, walking up to Daehyun and resting the top of his head against Daehyun’s chest as he pinched the bridge of his nose. Was this kid serious? Young Jae just didn’t know how to react anymore. He was just going to have to learn how to go with the flow of things. Daehyun, however, decided to finally step up to the plate.

“It’s like being in a straight relationship, except it’s between two men. I’m not really complaining. I get to be with this cutie.” (DH) Daehyun wrapped his arms around Young Jae, causing the younger male to instantly lift his head. He was going to glare at Daehyun, but he soon found Daehyun’s lips coming into contact with his. Young Jae pulled away, turning away as his face turned a bit red. His eyebrows may be furrowed, but it’s not like he was pushing Daehyun away or anything.

“Wooooww... you two must really be in love! I wanna be in love too!” (Z) Zelo looked around a bit before his eyes landed on Jongup. With a grin, Zelo walked around the host’s stand and placed both hands on Jongup’s shoulders. “Jongup! I want to date you!” (Z)

“W-What?!” (JU) Jongup had a crush on Zelo the second Zelo had started working at Sushi Seki about four months ago. However, he had not once thought that Zelo would be the type to even look his way romantic wise. “A-Are you serious?!” (JU)

“Oh.. are you not gay?” (Z)

“Are you?!” (JU)

“Sure! Why not? It seems like fun! Come on, pleeeease? I’ll kiss you a lot if that’s what you want!” (Z) Zelo leaned in, causing Jongup’s eyes to widen as he turned a deep shade of red. He kept his arms forward as he stopped Zelo from advancing any closer.

“O-Okay, Okay already! J-Just give us a table!” (JU) Zelo cheered happily as he collected menu’s and skipped down to a nice booth in the corner. He placed the menu’s on the table before turning to the other three.

“This will be your table! Isn’t it wonderful? I wanna talk with you guys more! You two are really cool parents!” (Z) Zelo gave a big hug to Jongup before he skipped back over to the host’s table. The three of them sat down, Daehyun and Young Jae’s attention clearly on Jongup.

“So... You have a boyfriend now.” (YJ)

“Do we have to talk about the birds and the bees?” (DH)

“D-DAD! No!” (JU)

“Well.. you seemed to know a lot about it already just last week..” (YJ) Daehyun stared at Young Jae before staring at Jongup. Jongup instantly shrunk in his seat, trying his best to hide behind his menu. He had not expected his mom to remember him saying any of those things from before, nor had he thought that his mom would say such things in front of his dad. “It doesn’t matter. He seems like a good kid. A bit... too energetic, but he is a good kid. How old is he anyway?” (YJ)

“He’s... fifteen.” (JU) Two years younger? That wasn’t too bad of an , but then again.. at their teenage stage, two years was a rather large difference. Jongup was already seventeen and yet, he was now dating a fifteen year old. By the time Jongup turned eighteen, Zelo would be sixteen. Jongup would be considered a e by then, but... Young Jae didn’t see any problem in the two staying together after Zelo turns eighteen. For now, he wouldn’t say anything about it.

“Um... I forgot to get your drink orders! What do you guys want? We have lemonade, coca cola, sprite, doctor pepper, we have three flavors of iced tea. There’s peach, blueberry, and I think strawberry... and um..” (Z)

“Okay, we get it Zelo. I’ll just have lemonade. Daehyun will have peach iced tea, and Jongup will have sprite.” (YJ) Zelo nodded and quickly wrote down their orders before skipping off to whomever their waiter was. Daehyun grinned a bit as he wrapped an arm around Young Jae’s shoulders.

“How did you know what I wanted?” (DH)

“Y-Yea mom..” (JU)

“Simple. Peach iced tea is sweet and compliments cheesecake. As for Jongup, I only see you drinking soda, specifically sprite.” (YJ) Why did he remember little things like that? It just didn’t seem all that necessary and yet, there it was. Young Jae closed his right eye as he felt lips pressing against his right cheek before Daehyun pulled away a bit. Young Jae sighed before crossing his arms.

In a way, he was starting to get used to how close Daehyun was.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“So, how’s the food?” (Z) Zelo sat down next to Jongup, smiling happily as he looked at Young Jae and Daehyun. Young Jae looked around before staring at Zelo. Wasn’t Zelo supposed to be working? Why was he being irresponsible by leaving his post? Though, it did not matter to Young Jae. As long as Zelo understood the consequences, then he would play along.

“It is adequate for the time being.” (YJ)

“It’s really good! Glad Jongup suggested coming here again!” (DH)

“Good! Um... Can I ask you two something?” (Z) Daehyun and Young Jae looked at each other before looking at Zelo and both nodding in unison. Zelo grinned happily, though the two were not going to be able to prepare themselves for the type of question Zelo had in mind. “What’s it like having gay ?” (Z)

The duo nearly choked on their own food if it wasn’t for their drinks that were standing nearby, ready to save them from death by fish. Young Jae was the first to calm himself before he glared at Zelo, placing his cup down. “What kind of inappropriate question is that?! You shouldn’t even be thinking about at your age!” (YJ)

“Does that mean you haven’t done it yet?” (Z) Young Jae pinched the bridge of his nose. He had thought that Zelo was a good kid, but.. apparently he wasn’t as innocent as he looked. Either way, he wasn’t entirely sure as to how to go about Zelo’s inquisitive nature.

“I don’t see how that’s any of your business.” (YJ)

“But you said you would answer my question!” (Z)

“No, if I recall, you had asked if you could ask us a question. We did not say that we would give you an answer for said question.” (YJ) Zelo pouted a bit as he slouched a bit in his seat. Young Jae only rolled his eyes as he went back to eating. What kind of things went on in that child’s head?! Why would he want to know about at this age?! “Why are you so curious about our life anyway?” (YJ)

“I wanna know if it’s fun! I could always just find out with Jongup.” (Z)

“NO you will NOT! You are WAY too young to be doing such things with my son!” (YJ)

“But you two don’t look that old and you already have a son.” (Z) Young Jae face palmed. Has this kid not learned about how a child is made?! It was impossible for two males to have a child together! Young Jae would have said something, but he decided to just drop the subject. Well, he would have.. if it wasn’t for Daehyun.

“It’s not possible for two males to have a child together. We adopted him.” (DH)

“Ooh... okay! Wait.. so does that mean you two haven’t had yet?” (Z)

“No, we haven’t.” (DH)

“Why not?!” (Z) Daehyun scratched the side of his head. It was a bit too soon for them to be having , isn’t it? At least.. in their relationship anyway, right? He wasn’t sure. He knew that Young Jae didn’t like it when he was too clingy, so it might be considered moving too fast.

“Not sure.” (DH) Zelo sighed before he looked over at the Host’s stand, his eyes widening as he instantly got to his feet. He gave a quick wave before running over there to seat the people whom must have probably been waiting for a table for the past four or five minutes. Young Jae elbowed Daehyun to get his attention, causing the older male to jump. “W-What is it?” (DH)

“Why are you being so open with him?! You do not have to be answering Zelo’s questions! They are inappropriate and he should not be inquiring about such things at his age!” (YJ)

“S-Sorry.. I guess I wasn’t thinking.” (DH) Young Jae nodded a bit happily, though his face didn’t show it. He was glad that Daehyun at least admitted that he was wrong this time, so Young Jae wasn’t too mad at the older male. He turned to look at Jongup, whom seemed to be sitting awkwardly.

“What’s wrong Jongup?” (YJ)

“N-Nothing..” (JU)

“Tell me.” (YJ) Jongup looked up at Young Jae and he could see the seriousness that was plastered all over his mother’s face. Then again, Young Jae always looked serious so he wasn’t entirely sure if Young Jae was being worried or just plain angry.

“O-Okay.. I.. I just wanted to know why you haven’t had.. yet.. with dad..” (JU) Young Jae pinched the bridge of his nose as he let out a breath of air. He just seemed to be pinching his nose a bit too often for his liking. When had he even started this habit anyway?! Either way, it seemed like all teenagers were curious about such things.

“It’s because it’s too soon in our relationship. Are you happy now?” (YJ) Young Jae looked over at Jongup, whom nodded a bit. Young Jae let out a sigh before he went back to eating. Curiosity just seemed to be all over the place nowadays.

[[ My Own Thoughts:

Now entering Baby Zelo >3<..
Of course, he's not that innocent..
But he is in a sense. xD

Also, I made the chapter extra long >3<..
4 pages longer to be exact. xD
So yea.. bonus for everyone >3<..

Hopefully, it's alright!
I will be time skipping in the next chapter, so..
Hopefully it won't throw everyone off too much!
It'll be about two to three months.
That way, the relationship can progress a bit further. x3

If anyone is opposed to the time skip, don't be afraid to say so!
I like to know what everyone is thinking about >3<..

Anyway, I hope everyone is enjoying the chapter/fanfic! ]]
Like this story? Give it an Upvote!
Thank you!

Everyone! Happy New Years >3< I will try to bring an update soon!
