“Ok.”

“O-Ok?!”

“Yes I’ll go out with you.”

Nam Woohyun was over the moon. It finally happened. After three months of attempting to woo Kim Minji, who worked a few cubicles down from his desk, she had finally given in.

“You won’t regret it Minji-sshi!” Woohyun promised, excitedly. “It’ll be really fun and—.”

“Ah, but on one condition.” Minji held a hand up.

“…Excuse me?”

“I’ll go out with you on one condition.”

“Condition?”

“Yes. You have to have dinner with me and my older brother.”

Woohyun blinked. “Brother?”

“Yes…his name is Kim Sunggyu. I’m sure you’ve heard of him. He works in the finance department.” Minji sighed, pressing her palm to her cheek. “He likes to meet any guy before I go out with them for some reason.”

“Oh…” Woohyun tilted his head. “Well, I guess that’s ok.”

||•||

“Guys!” Woohyun rushed across the street and into the nearby café that he and his fellow coworkers frequented on their lunch break. He spotted his friends in their usual booth by the window.

“Where were you?” Sungjong asked.

“Yeah, we were afraid you might miss lunch.” Dongwoo grinned.

“Guys!” Woohyun scooted in beside Myungsoo and Sungyeol, smacking his hands down on the table energetically. “You’ll never guess what just happened to me! It’s the greatest thing ever!”

“What?” Dongwoo gasped. “You finally got a raise?”

Woohyun’s smile faltered slightly. “Uh…well no—.”

“A promotion?” Hoya asked.

“…Well its not—.”

“You won the lottery?” Myungsoo mused.

“Yah, if I won the lottery, you think I would still be eating at this crappy joint with people like you?” Woohyun snorted. “I’d be in the pent house of some fancy apartment, in a hot tub, knee deep in caviar with—.”

“Strippers?” Myungsoo and Sungyeol supplied, then grinned at their similar thinking and high-fived.

“No!” Woohyun blushed. “N-Not strippers!”

“Then what?” Sungyeol frowned. “You’ll just sit there alone? That’s boring—.”

“Who cares!” Woohyun huffed. “You’re not invited to my glamorous pent house!”

“Well I don’t want to go anyways if you’re calling it glam—.”

“So what’s the great thing that happened to you anyways?” Sungjong steered them back to the original topic whilst taking a sip of his coffee.

“Ah right…” Woohyun smiled, suddenly getting shy and folding his hands in his lap.

“What?” Hoya made a face. “Just tell us already.”

“Well…” Woohyun paused to smile at the waitress who placed his usual order down on the table. “Have you guys ever heard of Kim Sunggyu?”

Hoya and Dongwoo looked up with horrified looks.

“Ah, that’s right.” Sungjong nodded, glancing at the two older men beside him. “You guys work in the finance department with him…”

“She did say he works in the finance department…” Woohyun murmured to himself.

“What?” Sungyeol eyed him suspiciously.

“Ah nothing!” Woohyun waved him off, turning to Dongwoo and Hoya. “So you guys know him?”

“Well…you could say that.” Dongwoo muttered, exchanging an uncomfortable glance with Hoya. “He’s the head of the department so…basically he’s our boss.”

Woohyun gulped, the image of a burly, scary man smoking a cigar in an expensive suit appearing in his mind. “I-Is he nice?” Woohyun asked with anticipating eyes.

“Uh…yeah.” Dongwoo smiled uneasily. “He’s actually a pretty nice guy.”

Woohyun breathed a sigh of relief. “That’s good because I—.”

“But that’s only after I lied and told him I’m married.” Dongwoo interrupted.

“..What?” Woohyun blinked.

“Yeah, same with me.” Hoya sighed. “Apparently he has a little sister who works in a different department, and he gets all suspicious of any man that’s single. He thinks they’re all gonna try and get in her pants or something.”

“But the funny thing is…” Dongwoo mused. “Every day he shot me scary glares, until I told him I’m married, and now he’s all smiles and stuff.”

“I think he has a sister complex or something.” Hoya snorted, earning chuckles from the rest, except for Woohyun, who looked positively horrified.

“What? Like one of those types, who’s all, ‘No one’s good enough for my sister?’” Myungsoo smirked.

“I bet he keeps a gun collection and shows it to her boyfriends whenever they come over.” Hoya joked and everyone laughed. Well not everyone…

“What’s wrong Woohyun?” Dongwoo noticed Woohyun biting his lip and staring at his strawberry lemonade with wide fearful eyes.

“Huh?” Woohyun looked up. “Uh…I…I have to go do something.”

||•||

He spent the rest of his lunch break, pacing the small of his cubicle, his lanyard with his ID badge swaying back and forth around his neck. Judging from how Hoya and Dongwoo described Minji’s older brother, Woohyun really did not want to meet him. He was contemplating calling her up and calling the whole thing off. He did still want to go out with Minji, but he was scared and wondered if facing big brother was worth it.

No!” He shook his head. “How can I think like that? Of course she’s worth it! If I don’t even try…I’m not even worthy of her. What will she think of me then?”

Besides how scary could Kim Sunggyu possibly be?

||•||

Woohyun got out of the taxi and walked towards the very fancy restaurant that Minji had called him to that evening. He gulped, feeling his wallet ache. He hoped her older brother would pay, but judging from how Hoya and Dongwoo described him, Woohyun didn’t have his hopes set high.

When he got inside, the waiter, a man dressed in a crisp tuxedo guided him to the table. Woohyun nervously adjusted the collar of his shirt. He had worn his most impressive and most expensive suit. He figured, since Kim Sunggyu was the head of the finance department, he had expensive taste.

“Ah Woohyun oppa!” Minji stood up from the table as Woohyun approached them. He smiled at her, but his eyes immediately targeted in on the man sitting next to her, Kim Sunggyu.

Sunggyu slowly got up and…what’s this? He was…smiling? He wasn’t burly or scary at all. If anything, he was kind of cute, with small crescent shaped eyes, full cheeks, and just a really nice smile.

Woohyun couldn’t help but think that he was sort of maybe cuter than Minji even. He quickly shoved that thought away however and reached out to shake his hand.

“Nice to meet you.” Woohyun smiled nervously. Why were this Kim Sunggyu’s hands so soft? Was that normal? Were men’s hands normally like this? These were the things currently going through Woohyun’s head.

“It’s nice to meet you Nam Jonghyun.” Sunggyu smiled and gestured for him to sit across from them.

Woohyun blinked. “Um…its not—.”

“Ah.” Sunggyu chuckled embarrassedly, after getting a nudge from Minji. “I’m sorry. I’m such an idiot. Nam Woohyun right? Sorry about that Woohyun-sshi.”

“No…” Woohyun nodded dazedly. “It’s…ok.”

Dongwoo and Hoya are idiots. Or liars. That’s what Woohyun figured. Because he was practically melting into a pile of goo from witnessing Sunggyu’s glowing and warm smile. And he was cute and nice and cute and friendly and cute and—.

“Was the traffic really bad oppa?" Minji interrupted his thoughts. Woohyun blinked, realizing he pretty much forgot about Minji for a moment.

Pull yourself together man!” He told himself. “Why are you thinking of the big brother that way? Stop thinking about the big brother when Minji is sitting right there!”

“Uh…no. It was ok.” Woohyun nodded.

“Woohyun-sshi, do you like to drink?” Sunggyu asked, his eyes on his menu.

“Huh?” Woohyun looked up from his own menu. “Oh…maybe just a little.” He smiled politely.

“You know, oppa loves to drink.” Minji sighed, nudging her brother. “He was probably trying to make you his drinking partner, since I don’t like drinking much.”

“Ah…was I caught?” Sunggyu shot Woohyun an amused smile before returning his attention to his menu. Woohyun bit his lip, attempting to decide what he wanted, but he kept absently stealing glances at Sunggyu. He didn’t know why he kept trying to stare at the older man. But then Sunggyu looked up, and Woohyun immediately dropped his gaze to his menu.

He tugged at his black skinny tie, wondering if it was stuffy in the restaurant since his cheeks were feeling very warm all of a sudden. He nervously reached out for his glass, but accidentally knocked it over, and spilled his wine all over Sunggyu’s shirt.

“Oh my god!” Woohyun panicked. “I’m so sorry!”

“It’s fine.” Sunggyu ed his blazer, and dabbed the red stain on his crisp white button up shirt with a napkin. “I’ll just go to the bathroom and clean up.” He turned to his sister, before standing up.

“I-I’ll come with you!” Woohyun blurted out, following after him. “I-I mean you could wear my shirt or—.”

“It was just an accident.” Sunggyu chuckled as they entered the bathroom. Woohyun frowned, watching Sunggyu’s back, as the older headed towards the sink.

“I…” Woohyun walked up to him. “Y-You’re so nice. I’m really sorry—.” Suddenly Sunggyu turned the tap off, his expression completely different to the one he had before. His eyes were narrowed in a warning glare, as he turned to Woohyun.

“If you’re really sorry, then never see my sister again.”

Woohyun blinked, and then laughed uneasily. “Oh…I get it. I-It’s a joke—.”

Sunggyu snorted, shooting Woohyun a condescending smirk. “If you think I’m joking, then you must be stupider than I thought.”

Woohyun’s jaw dropped, then he closed it again, totally speechless.

“I…I don’t understand—.” Suddenly Sunggyu moved towards him with that same intimidating glare, until Woohyun was cornered against the tiled wall. Sunggyu pressed his hand to the wall behind Woohyun.

“Then let me spell it out for you.” Sunggyu leaned in, and Woohyun felt his heart beat speed up. “We all have a nice dinner, but you decide Minji isn’t the right girl for you, and then you give up on her, and the both of you never see each other ever again. You understand?”

Woohyun shook his head tentatively. “I…b-but she is…” He murmured meekly. Sure he was scared, but he wasn’t about to just give up on Minji. He was a man who believed in fighting for love.

And to his surprise Sunggyu backed away with a flustered expression.

“N-No she isn’t!” He stammered, seemingly frustrated.

Woohyun blinked. “Yes…she is—.”

“No she isn’t stupid!” Sunggyu hissed. “J-Just give up on her already!”

Woohyun couldn’t help but grin. He guessed Sunggyu wasn’t used to people saying no to him. Sunggyu really wasn’t that scary at all, he realized. He felt his confidence building.

“I’ll never give up on her sorry~” He hummed, earning a frustrated whine from Sunggyu.

“Yah! Don’t be stupid! Just—.”

“Nope~”

“Yah—!”

“Not giving up~”

“Aish!”

||•||

Sunggyu obviously wasn’t expecting Woohyun to be so stubborn. But that was ok, because he could be just as persistent.

One evening Woohyun and Minji went to the movies.

“Ah, I have to go to the ladies room.” Minji whispered and got up from her seat.

“I’ll be waiting~” Woohyun called after her. “I miss you already!” He called out to her when she was half way down the aisle. Then some guy yelled at him to shut up and watch the movie. He smiled sheepishly and whispered an apology before grabbing his soda and taking a sip.

“Break up with her.” A voice whispered in his ear, causing him to choke on his root beer. He turned around to see Sunggyu in the seat right behind him, chewing on some gummy bears.

He hastily looked around, before glaring at Sunggyu. “What’re you doing here?”

“Break up with my sister and then I’ll leave.” Sunggyu whispered.

“No!” Woohyun groaned, turning back around.

“W-Well then I’ll steal your popcorn!” Sunggyu reached over his shoulder and made a grab for his popcorn.

“No!” Woohyun squealed and ducked down, hiding his popcorn underneath him.

“Yah! Give it to me!” Sunggyu growled, falling over the seat, taking Woohyun with him as they fell onto the ground in the small space between the seats.

“G-Get off me!” Woohyun cried, huddled in the fetus position, clutching onto the now pretty much empty popcorn bucket like it was his baby.

“Break up with my sister and then I will!” Sunggyu yelled from on top of him, his arms attempting to reach around Woohyun’s waist for the popcorn bucket. Though there was really no point since most of the popcorn was now scattered on the floor around them.

“I won’t!” Woohyun replied stubbornly.

“You bastard just do it!”

“No!”

“Stop being a fool!”

“Stop being scary!”

“Ahem.” They both froze, and hesitantly turned to see an employee of the movie theater shining a flashlight at them. Sunggyu immediately got off Woohyun, straightening out his shirt.

“T-This isn’t what it—.”

“Get out.” The employee sighed.

“Right…sorry.” Sunggyu murmured and obediently walked past him.

“You too.” The man pointed at Woohyun.

“What?” Woohyun pouted. “Why me? I’m not the one who...! I-I’m on a date!”

“Yeah, but your date is leaving.” The employee gestured to Sunggyu who was already making his way out of the theater.

“No!” Woohyun tried to explain. “He’s not my...! That’s not…!”

Needless to say he was unconvincing and was promptly picked up and taken outside by one very muscular female security guard, who may or may not of felt him up in the process.

||•||

“This wouldn’t have happened if you just broke up with my sister.” Sunggyu muttered, folding his arms.

He and Woohyun were waiting outside the theater for Minji, who insisted on finishing the movie, even if she had to watch it herself.

“Actually this wouldn’t have happened if you hadn’t tackled me to the ground and started a riot in the theater!” Woohyun exclaimed, nibbling on the straw of his root beer cup.

“A riot? Please, I just wanted some popcorn.” Sunggyu snorted.

“What’s your problem anyways?” Woohyun mumbled. “Do you hate me that much?”

“Huh?” Sunggyu blinked. “I never said that.”

Woohyun looked up hopefully. “Really—?”

“Out loud. How’d you figure out what I was thinking?” Sunggyu pointed to his head in disbelief. Woohyun immediately pouted and looked away in silence. It was never nice to be told he was hated.

A small breeze blew by and Sunggyu shivered slightly, before turning to Woohyun.

“Why do you even like my sister?” He murmured.

Woohyun side eyed him before smiling slightly. “What’s not to like?”

Sunggyu scoffed. “That’s what people say when they can’t think of anything.”

“I just…” Woohyun smiled, looking down, scraping his shoe across the cement. “I’ve been trying to get her to notice me for months now. And when I finally got the courage to ask her out…she actually said yes.” He smiled fondly. “It made me think that…maybe she noticed me too? Maybe she thinks I’m attractive or something.” He laughed embarrassedly at that.

Sunggyu watched him silently, furrowing his brows. “He’s different…” He thought, feeling an almost protective sensation for the younger man.

“You should break up with her.” He stated.

Woohyun frowned. “How can you still say that, after I just told you—?”

“I don’t care!” Sunggyu huffed. “Just break up with her! Do it right now!”

“No!”

“Do it!”

“I won’t!”

“Why not?!”

“I love her!”

Sunggyu froze, and Woohyun gasped slightly, obviously shocking himself, before nodding decisively.

“Y-Yes that’s right! I love—!”

“You barely know her.” Sunggyu cut him off. “How can you love her?”

“Its destiny!” Woohyun exclaimed. “We were destined to be together!”

Sunggyu eyed him for a moment, skeptically. “You think she feels the same?”

Woohyun paused, averting his gaze. “I don’t mind if she doesn’t believe it yet. I’ll believe enough for both of us until she does.”

“That’s stupid.” Sunggyu merely said, and turned to leave.

Woohyun stared at Sunggyu’s retreating figured, mouth slightly ajar.

“W-What…no its not!” He chased after the older man, grabbing onto his arm. “It’s not stupid! Love is—.”

“You do this often don’t you?” Woohyun merely blinked, taken off guard by Sunggyu’s vague question and rather intense gaze.

“…What?”

“That’s really sad actually.”

Woohyun was really getting pissed now. Who was this random guy to act this way to him? And he hated the way Sunggyu was staring at him like he was so pitiful.

“I-I’m not pathetic!” He blurted out.

“Never said you were.” Sunggyu merely shrugged, though there was an almost knowing spark in his eyes, like he already read the entire book that was Nam Woohyun. Like he already knew all the insecurities he was hiding between the lines.

Woohyun gulped, letting go of Sunggyu’s arm, and looking away.

“I…I knew you were thinking it.” Woohyun murmured.

“Really? You sure that’s not what you were thinking?” Sunggyu suddenly said rather casually, causing Woohyun to instantly look up, surprised. “Because that’s not what I was thinking at all.”

Before Woohyun could respond, they heard Minji calling out to them.

“Oppa!” Minji approached them. “I can’t believe you both got kicked out of the theater.” She sighed. “What were you even doing to Woohyun oppa, Sunggyu oppa?” She pouted, and nudged her brother.

“Sorry.” Sunggyu was back to that cute smiley façade that he used when it was the three of them. “Should we take a taxi back to the house together?”

“Hm, but…” Minji hooked her arm with Woohyun’s. “I wanted to go to Woohyun oppa’s house.”

Sunggyu laughed softly, though Woohyun caught the slight twitch at the corner of his eye.

“How about no?” Sunggyu tugged on Minji’s arm, pulling her towards him. “Besides, isn’t Woohyun-sshi tired? How about you say goodbye for the night, hm?”

“Aww.” Minji pouted as Sunggyu hailed a taxi. “But oppa!”

“Just get in.” Sunggyu chuckled lightly, and guided Minji into the backseat of the taxi, before looking back at Woohyun, who was left standing there.

Woohyun merely stared back at him, still confused about…well a lot of things.

He hesitantly took a step forward, determined to understand how exactly Sunggyu had managed to see straight through him. “Sunggyu-sshi—.”

“Woohyun-sshi.” Sunggyu had on that fake smile, since Minji could probably see them from inside the taxi. “I hope you think about what we’ve discussed.”

Woohyun opened his mouth to answer, but Sunggyu already got into the taxi, and slammed the door shut. And then they were gone, leaving Woohyun standing alone on the busy, dark street.

||•||

On another evening the following week, Minji invited Woohyun over to her house to watch a movie. Though he knew what ‘watching a movie’ really meant. How could he not? They’ve been dating for a few weeks now. It was only natural. He just hoped there wouldn’t be any interruptions. And by interruptions he meant Sunggyu of course. The guy was relentless. If Woohyun wasn’t so annoyed with Sunggyu he would be impressed by his tenacity and excellent stalking skills.

But how bad was his sister complex if he would be this persistent, Woohyun wondered. He found himself thinking a lot about Sunggyu these days. But how could he not, when he saw the older man practically every time he met with Minji? Plus he was cute and maybe even really hot. But that wasn’t relevant to anything so Woohyun quickly dismissed it.

“Oppa, do you like this movie?” Minji asked, plopping down on the couch beside Woohyun.

“How am I supposed to concentrate on a movie when there’s someone so breath-taking sitting beside me?” Woohyun already started with his smooth talking.

Minji merely made a humming noise, reaching for the bag of chips. It was almost as if she didn’t hear him at all.

Woohyun pouted slightly. “Minji-sshi, did you hear—?”

“Ah, I forgot soda.” She bounced off her seat, sending him a smile before heading into the kitchen. Woohyun sighed slightly, rubbing the back of his head.

“Break up with her.”

Woohyun wasn’t even shocked anymore, as Sunggyu crawled out from behind the sofa and sat down next to Woohyun.

“No.” He rolled his eyes.

“Why not?!” Sunggyu whined impatiently.

“Why do you want me to break up with her so bad? Is your sister complex that extreme?!” Woohyun blurted out.

Sunggyu stared at him in silence, and Woohyun immediately clamped his hand over his mouth.

“Wait.” He hastily shook his head. “I-I didn’t mean—.”

“Sister complex?” Sunggyu tilted his head, quizzically.

“Nothing!” Woohyun stammered. “I-Its nothing.”

Sunggyu sighed, shaking his head. He was once again looking at Woohyun with that almost pitiful look.

“What?” Woohyun rubbed the back of his neck, feeling slightly self conscious.

“You…” Sunggyu hesitantly reached out, patting Woohyun on the head. “You’re really not right for her…”

Woohyun was more than a little confused by Sunggyu’s actions, but Sunggyu’s hand was warm and gentle, and it actually felt kind of nice.

“I…” Woohyun murmured, eyes downcast. He wasn’t able to look Sunggyu in the eyes for some reason. “I’m not breaking up with Minji-sshi.”

“…I wish you would.” Woohyun heard Sunggyu say under his breath, in an almost resigned tone. Woohyun quickly looked up, as Sunggyu removed his hand. Woohyun studied Sunggyu’s face for a moment, as the elder stared into his eyes, biting his lip.

“What?” Woohyun breathed, his voice practically a whisper now.

“You should be with someone else.” Sunggyu said softly, intently looking at Woohyun. “Minji is—.”

They were interrupted by the sound of the door bell.

“Oppa, can you get that?” Minji called from the kitchen. “I’m in the middle of making a sandwich!”

Sunggyu shot Woohyun one more concerned glance before getting up and heading for the door. Woohyun clutched his shirt, eyes darting to and fro.

Minji is…what?” Woohyun furrowed his brows. “What was he going to say?”

“MINJI-YAH!” A deep voice rang out and suddenly a tall man with a ponytail, donned in ripped jeans, lace up boots, and a leather jacket stormed in. He was quite handsome and definitely had that rough feel to him, what with the tattoos on his neck and stubble on his chin and cheeks.

Minji rushed out of the kitchen. “C oppa!

“How can you make me come all the way here to get you?” The man, apparently named C huffed, a helmet, presumably for his motorcycle in one hand. “You better not take hours to get ready like you always do!”

“Ah, but oppa, I’m having a date with Woohyun oppa today.” Minji gestured to the sofa where Woohyun was sitting, staring from C to Minji in shock and confusion. Meanwhile Sunggyu walked in, seemingly remorseful, leaning in the entrance way, watching.

“C…?” Woohyun blinked. “Minji-sshi what’s going on? Who’s this man?”

C turned to Woohyun and smirked. “What’re you doing with this cute kid Minji-yah? Poor guy.” He laughed.

“Ah I didn’t think it was that important.” Minji giggled. “Woohyun oppa this is the other guy I’m dating right now, C.” She gestured to the tall man.

Sunggyu sighed, completely expecting Woohyun’s confused reaction.

“I…what?” Woohyun stared at Minji with hurt eyes. “Other…guy?”

“Yeah!” Minji smiled obliviously. “You’re the sweet, romantic one that I can take to fancy restaurants and events and to meet my friends, and C is the one who…” She clutched onto C’s muscular arm. “Well obviously I can’t take you anywhere.” She turned to him and they shared some sort of not so innocent smile.

“Well, there is one place we go all the time.” C leaned in, whispering something into Minji’s ear that made her giggle.

Woohyun suddenly stood up, causing both of them to stare at him.

“Is that…?” Minji tilted her head in confusion when she noticed Woohyun’s somewhat somber demeanor. “That’s not a problem is it Woohyun oppa?”

Sunggyu bit his lip. He almost thought Woohyun was going to cry. He hesitantly stepped forward. “Woohyun—.”

“I-Its fine.” Woohyun suddenly said with a forced smile. “It’s totally fine.” He even choked out a laugh. “Ah, well look at the time!” He waved his hands around as he spoke rather loudly. “I should get going, I have a lot to do tomorrow morning! Nice meeting you C-sshi!” And then he rushed out of the room, brushing past Sunggyu with his head down. Sunggyu hurriedly followed him to the entrance way.

“Woohyun-sshi—.”

“I-Its fine!” Woohyun stammered, his bangs covering his eyes as he pulled on his shoes. And before Sunggyu could say anymore, Woohyun was rushing out the door.

 “That’s why I told you dummy…”

Sunggyu sighed, standing alone in the door way.

“Why didn’t you just listen to me?”

||•||

The next day Woohyun had made sure to cover up any traces of his sobbing session last night with cosmetics. Though his eyes were still slightly swollen. He sighed as he got up from his chair and stepped out of his cubicle.

Apparently he was told the department head wanted to talk to him about something so he walked over to the head’s office. However it wasn’t the department head waiting there, but Sunggyu, who spun around in the office chair one hand resting on the shiny maple desk.

“You…” Woohyun blinked. “Sunggyu-sshi?”

“Hey.” Sunggyu smiled sheepishly.

“If this isn’t about work…” Woohyun already turned to leave.

“W-Wait.” Sunggyu hurriedly got up, rushing to Woohyun’s side. “About last night…you’ll break up with Minji right—?”

“No.” Woohyun answered quickly.

“What?” Sunggyu’s mouth hung open for a moment. “What do you mean you—?”

“Why should I break up with her?” Woohyun turned to him with a forced smile.

“Are you kidding me? You were obviously shocked she was dating another guy! You were thinking you were the only one this whole time isn’t it? That’s how you are isn’t it? This is why I tried to tell you that she’s not right for you! She’s not innocent and sweet like you—!”

Woohyun smiled slightly. “You think I’m sweet?”

Sunggyu instantly blushed, looking away. “I-I just meant…”

“I don’t mind.” Woohyun suddenly said, staring forward at the closed door. “If Minji-sshi is happy like that…dating two people. Then its ok.”

Sunggyu was on the verge of pulling his hair out in frustration. “What the—?! That’s so stupid! What about your happiness?”

“If Minji-sshi is happy, then it’s ok. I mean she still likes me right? Ah…” He chuckled bitterly. “But I wonder if she likes C-sshi more?” He turned to Sunggyu. “She probably does, huh?”

“What’s wrong with you?” Sunggyu frowned.

“I guess I’m just a fool in love.” Woohyun joked, though his expression was somber.

“I think you’re just a fool.” Sunggyu muttered.

“Yeah.” Woohyun smiled sadly. “Maybe.”

Sunggyu sighed. “Well at least do the same then.”

Woohyun turned to him, curiously. “The same?”

“Like date other people too. Since she can, you can too.”

“I…” Woohyun looked down. “I can’t do that.”

“Why not?”

“That’s not really my style.” Woohyun shrugged. “I guess I can only be with one person at a time…”

“Well you could just pretend?” Sunggyu suggested. “You know, just to make her jealous? Hey yeah, and then maybe she’ll break up with C and then…”

“But how’s that going to work?” Woohyun scratched his head. “Then I need to find someone to—.”

“I-I could do it.” Sunggyu offered, averting his eyes and blushing slightly.

Woohyun blinked. “But…you’re…a…guy—.”

“No .” Sunggyu rolled his eyes.

“Oh…” Woohyun looked down, somewhat nervously. “Would we have to…w-would that work?”

“W-Well, all we can do is try.”

||•||

Woohyun had never done anything with a guy before. He had never even thought about doing anything with a guy. Well ok, that may have been a lie, but that was when he was in high school and hormones and puberty did strange things to his thought process.

He fidgeted about on the sofa, as Sunggyu placed a bowl of chips on the coffee table and sat down next to him.

“So…” Woohyun bit his lip.

“Minji should be coming back in five minutes.” Sunggyu glanced at his watch.

“Ok…so what should we…?” Woohyun turned to Sunggyu, who looked away shyly.

“Well we should probably start now.” Sunggyu murmured, folding his hands in his lap.

“Start what?” Woohyun blinked.

“…M-Making out.”

Woohyun almost choked on air. “W-What?!”

“T-That’s the only way to make her jealous!” Sunggyu stammered. “If she walks in on us making out, she’ll—.”

“That’s the only way?” Woohyun stared at him in disbelief. “There’s absolutely no other options?! Like can’t we just act cuddly or something?”

“She might just think we’ve become friends then.” Sunggyu pointed out, and then blushed. “I-It’s not like I want to do this either! But it’s the only way!”

“C-Can’t we just pretend like we were making out and got caught?” Woohyun asked, desperately. “Do we actually have to…y-you know?”

“My sister isn’t stupid. She’ll catch on right away.” Sunggyu frowned. “B-Besides when people have been kissing their lips—s-stop making that face!” Sunggyu pointed at Woohyun’s scandalized expression, as the younger covered his face with his hands. “I-I’m trying to explain something here!”

“Ok, I get it!” Woohyun sighed heavily, giving in. He averted his eyes, pouting slightly, with pink cheeks. “I get it…”

Sunggyu stared at him nervously before slowly reaching out and cupping Woohyun’s cheek.

“I-It’s just acting ok?”

“Yeah…” Woohyun nodded, his gaze tracing Sunggyu’s lips. “Just…acting…” He murmured, as he felt Sunggyu’s lips graze his. He closed the distance, allowing their lips to collide softly. Woohyun’s eyes fluttered close, as Sunggyu’s other hand cupped his other cheek, pulling them closer. Sunggyu proceeded to nibble on Woohyun’s bottom lip, and Woohyun wondered if that fell into the realm of ‘just acting.’ He involuntarily gasped, when he felt Sunggyu’s hand wandering down his chest, and under his shirt. And suddenly Sunggyu’s tongue was in his mouth.

Ok since when did people use tongue when they were ‘just acting’? And no one ever said anything about feeling each other up.

Woohyun moaned in resistance, attempting to signal to Sunggyu that he was going too far, but Sunggyu seemed to misunderstand and instead pinned Woohyun down onto the couch, and continued exploring under Woohyun’s shirt with his hand, and the inside of Woohyun’s mouth with his tongue.

Woohyun soon gave in, allowing Sunggyu to his shirt as their mouths melted together slowly in a tantalizing dance of tongues.

Apparently Minji was long forgotten, as was everything else for that matter, as Sunggyu trailed soft breathy kisses along Woohyun’s neck.

“You deserve someone…” Sunggyu breathed hotly in his ear. “Who’ll look only at you.” He kissed Woohyun’s lips gently. “Because you’re gorgeous.”

Woohyun stared up at him, panting slightly. “I…I am?”

Sunggyu chuckled softly. “Of course you are. No one’s ever told you that?”

“I…I don’t remember.” Woohyun breathed in a daze. A realization dawning on him as he looked up at the first real smile Sunggyu had shown him. He didn’t think Sunggyu could get any cuter, but he guessed being genuine does that to a person.

It made him feel that maybe he didn’t have to just be ok with things. That maybe he could try and reach for something that was better than what he thought he deserved.

“W-Will you?”

“Huh?” Sunggyu blinked. Woohyun clutched onto the collar of Sunggyu’s shirt, biting his now swollen lips, anxiously.

“W-Would you do that?” Woohyun’s eyes watered. “…Could you be the one who does that…?”

Sunggyu smiled softly, Woohyun’s cheek bone with his thumb.

“If you want me to.” He leaned in, kissing Woohyun’s cheek. “Because if Woohyun-sshi is happy, then it’s more than ok.”

“So you really think they’ll get together from this?” C asked, sitting down on the sidewalk beside Minji.

“They should.” Minji sighed. “Because if they don’t, I’m giving up on my brother ever finding love.”

“But how’d you know he would end up liking that Woohyun kid?” C chuckled.

“Uh, because he’s totally his type, stupidly cute with a hod bod.” Minji snorted. “Ah and since he’s completely different then the usual bad namja types I go for.” Minji glanced at C knowingly. “I knew Sunggyu oppa would feel bad for him and think I’m taking advantage of him. He’s nosy like that.” Minji shrugged. “You should know.”

“Yeah.” C smirked. “I remember he tried to warn me not to date you because he was worried you would hurt me.”

“But then he realized you’re also an .”

C laughed, “Yeah.”

A week later…

“YOU’RE DATING OUR BOSS?!” Dongwoo gasped.

“Shh!” Woohyun hissed, clamping a hand over the noisy dino’s mouth. He bowed and smiled sheepishly to some passing coworkers, before ducking down in his cubicle. “Could you be any louder? I’m pretty sure they didn’t hear you in Tanzania!”

“Oops sorry~” Dongwoo grinned.

Meanwhile Hoya had his arms folded and was shaking his head. “I don’t know how I should feel about this.”

“Well I don’t care how you feel, because it’s real and we’re in love!” Woohyun exclaimed proudly.

“You know what this means though, don’t you?” Hoya raised an eyebrow.

“Hm?” Woohyun blinked dumbly. “What?”

“That you can never ever break up with him.” Hoya stated. “Because then you’d be screwing us over as well.”

Dongwoo nodded in agreement. “He’s right.”

“I’m not going to break up with him.” Woohyun frowned.

“That’s right!” Dongwoo chuckled. “Ah, and you have to do everything he wants you to!”

“What?” Woohyun snorted. “Are you kidding me—?”

“If he wants you to you know…put a certain thing of his in your mouth, you should just say yes and do it.” Hoya instructed. “Or we might all lose our jobs.”

Woohyun stared at Hoya like he would suddenly grow devil horns and be transported to hell. “You…what’s wrong with you people? Can’t you be happy for my relationship? You’re so selfish!”

“We are happy Woohyunnie!” Dongwoo laughed, hugging Woohyun. “You know we’re just kidding around with you.”

“Except not really.” Hoya added.

“You can just leave.” Woohyun shot him a look of distaste.

Sunggyu yawned, as he closed the door to his office that evening. As the boss, he of course was the last one to leave. He turned to see Woohyun standing there, leaning against one of the cubicles, a candy bar half way in his mouth.

“What’re you doing here?” Sunggyu smiled, as Woohyun handed him a piece of the candy bar.

“I was waiting for you.” Woohyun suddenly wrapped his arms around Sunggyu, who was still in the midst of chewing. “I missed you hyung~.”

Sunggyu smiled slightly. Woohyun would only call him hyung outside the office, or when no one else was around. At work, it was Sunggyu-sshi. When they were alone, it was hyung. And when they were in bed there was a plethora of rather colorful nicknames that Woohyun liked to use. Well…not only in bed, but also in the shower, and sometimes the couch when Minji wasn’t home, and on occasion the kitchen, but that’s for another time…

Sunggyu smiled into Woohyun’s lips, their kiss tasting sweetly of the candy they both had eaten.

“Let’s go home, ok?” Sunggyu slung his arms around Woohyun’s neck.

“Or…” Woohyun glanced behind Sunggyu at the closed door of the latter’s office.

Sunggyu instantly grinned, obviously picking up what Woohyun was implying.

“It’s like we’re having a steamy office affair.” Woohyun joked.

“You know we’re not supposed to do that anymore.” Sunggyu said, though he was already tugging on Woohyun’s hand, and unlocking the door to his office with his free hand. Woohyun laughed excitedly, as Sunggyu pulled him inside and shut the door behind them.
