If you add little notches, it changes the sound that they make.

ᄀ ᄏ G becomes K

ᄃ ᄐ D becomes T

ᄋ ᄒ Nothing becomes H

ᄉ ᄌ ᄎ S becomes J and J becomes CH

Let's kick it up a notch! : Vowels

If you add little notches to vowels, it will sound like the place you put it.

On a tree...   

어                  아

up front   or  far away

If there are two trees...

에                애

before  or  after            (Before only works if you have a slight accent like i do, and pronounce it as Beg)

On the brook it can go...

오               우

over    or   at the root
