Morning came, Kyuhyun woke earlier than he expected. He looked at the clock and it was around 9 in the morning, though he didn’t set the alarm he managed to wake up at such an earlier time. He got up and smiled as he recalled what day is that very morning

“My, first date after a long while… I think I’m quite excited with it” he chuckled at himself, he got up and got inside the bathroom and about a minute or two he took a look at his phone, he saw a message. He excitedly opened it as he saw the name Donghae on the ID

He smiled brightly at reading the message, “Morning, I don’t know if your awake or not but at least I said good morning :), let’s have a wonderful day today alright?” he like the old days when he was being loved

He then shook his head, “No… this can’t be that dumb emotion, it’s only bliss or something else, but the fact remains that I still want to have a wonderful with him, that’s all” he still continued to convince himself about it

Then another text came in, he rushed to check it but. To his dismay it was Henry’s text, he sighed at the sight of it “Cho Kyuhyun! You promised to help out here at the club’s inventory check and right now I’m still waiting for you!” he rushed to get some clothes as he recalled his word to help out with it

He got clothe and made his way towards the club. When he then got there a grouching face was greeting him, “Where the hell were you? You swore that you’d come on time but what? You still came late, did you got laid last night to be tardy?” he immediately suspected

“N-No!” he answered back with a shy look

Henry felt a bit awkward with Kyu giving that kind of answer, “Since when did you became so defensive like that, for all I know you’d brag about the that you ed and~” he paused as he recalled what he did for him

Henry smirked and looked at him as if he had a whole idea on why he’s acting like that, “I think I know what made you come late today, does it has to do with a certain name of DONGHAE?” he highlighted the name

“N-No… Y-Yes” he stuttered and unconsciously blushed

Henry giggled at his reaction “I said… yeah, you got me… yes it has to do something with Donghae and to make it clear it’s not what you think. Get that dirty mind of yours cleared up, nothing happened between us” he fended but it was partially true though

“Are you sure Cho Kyuhyun? You wouldn’t go further with him, alone with him in his very own house with no one to disturb you? Is there really nothing or your just too shy to tell me then?” he teased with his words

“I-I said it to you clearly right? N-Nothing happened and that’s… that’s the truth!” he didn’t seem convincing on Henry’s side and also he kept stuttering with his words

“Well, as much as I want to make you tell. I have to get this damn inventory check finished so get your with the helping!” he demanded

“Alright already” he made his way inside the storage room and got his copy for the items, “By the way Henry, thank you for that help” he smiled and got inside, Henry felt helpful with his doing

After a few hours, it was nearly lunch time. “Here, every damn liquor and damn bottles as well had been checked and accounted for” he gave him the sheet

“That was great, wanna have something to eat? It’s nearly lunch time” he offered, “What? It took me three hours to get the done?” Henry shook his head

“Don’t worry, it wasn’t exactly three hours but more likely two hours or so” he teasingly smiled

“Not funny, I’d better be going I have to get ready with my date~” he paused as he knows Henry will interrogate him

“Date? May I have the privilege to at least know who your date would be?” he coed

“Th-That’s none of your business” he tried to stop him from knowing

“Is it Donghae you happen to date?” he raised a brow

“N-No! Just leave me alone with my personal life” he wanted to end the conversation about his little date

“Oh really, don’t you dare crawl back to me when you get hurt” he crossed his arms

“Damn it, it’s nothing Henry… forget about it, it’s just a dumb date” he tried to reason

“Well dating him seems better than just getting laid with him that’s for sure and like what I’ve said, I didn’t want my special friend’s friend get hurt or something, so it’s fine” he took out a relaxing breath thinking he’d stop with his asking

“So have you decided to court him or something? He is single for quite a while and to tell you some facts about him, he’s very delicate when he broke up with his ex. Even until now he’s still delicate about his past relationship so to give you a head’s up about what to do, don’t bring up his past relationship and always try to avoid making him anticipate on anything that you can’t give” Kyu froze at the last warning

“W-What do you mean about the anticipation part?” he curiously asked

“It’s simple as giving a promise and never fulfilling it, he’d been hurt so much about his ex since he had always promised that he’ll never hurt nor play with him. He kept on swearing that he’ll always be there and love him but what? He ed a guy in the house they’ve lived in and screwed Hae’s life right after that. I’m not saying you’d do such thing but, Kyu… we’re friends ever since high school and even if we were 2 years of gap with the level” he pointed out

“Please, I just don’t want to hear that my best friend did something horrible like that to him. He’s a very nice guy once you get to know him more, so don’t do what he had feared for so long” Kyu felt awful about hearing Hae’s past again

“I… I promise, I won’t be like that… besides, just like you said. He’s a nice person and I’m just starting to know that on hand, so don’t worry. I’ll take good care of him” he smiled and swore

“And also about the getting laid part, I think you shouldn’t go for it. He might… feel used as he was before, though what I’m asking is too much. Just don’t do anything crazy Kyu, he’d been in too much experiences don’t add another one” he requested

“I got you, I’ll don’t do anything stupid” he smiled though deep inside he felt that he’s also a horrible person on plotting to have him from the start

“Oh, one more thing… it’s just a friendly advice, he likes horror movies if you’re going out for a movie” he made Kyu smile brightly about it

“Thank you, thank you, thank you!” he hugged Henry tightly “You don’t know how much this information helped me, thank you!” Henry felt his chest was about to be crushed

“Alright, enough with the bear hug and get going” he wanted to break free

“Yeah, I have to arrange everything well for later. Thanks again alright?” he waved merrily and left off

“Ugh, he nearly killed me with that…” he paused and smiled on seeing his friend be so lively again “That’s the least I could do to make you happy again” he whispered to himself

Kyu got to the car park and made his way to the mall, he wanted to take a look on the current films that were being showed for the day. When he got there he immediately made his way to the theater to check on the list of shows, “Hmm… drama…. Action… cartoon… ah, here we go. Horror” he smiled at the sight of the poster

He made his way to the counter to buy the tickets, “Two please” he then pointed the movie’s poster

When got it he then thought it’s time to get somewhere to eat right after the movies, he took a look around if there were some good restaurants on the mall but to his luck he didn’t found any suitable place for them to eat, he was clearly looking for a restaurant that has a good steak for Donghae’s liking. He then got back to his car with the tickets on his pocket

He took a stroll around town to check if there’s any steak house or at least a place that serves good steak. He looked everywhere and practically he didn’t found any decent place to get some steak, he felt so hopeless about it but there’s nothing he could practically do since there weren’t really any that serves that kind of dish “This is so damn frustrating” he then got home, he looked at his watch and it was already 6 in the evening

“Damn it, with all that search I’ll be late to pick him up” he rushed inside and got his coat, with all his rushing he didn’t notice that the movie tickets fell off

He bathed and got ready, though he knew he didn’t got to find any steakhouse he felt confident that at least he’ll be able to have a movie night with Donghae and the meal would take place right after the movie

He got back into the car and wore the same coat he had, “Alright, everything will go smoothly with the movie” he felt confident about it

With a short drive he got to Hae’s house, he looked at his watch and it was still quarter to 7 so he was practically early, he smiled and got out of the car. He made his way to the door and cleared his throat before ringing the doorbell

He heard the footsteps drawing near until the door opened, “Hey, you’re a bit early” Hae greeted

Kyu froze for a couple of seconds as he took a gander on Hae, he had look stunning even though it was a plain pair of clothes. “Did he change anything on himself? He looks awesome” he told himself

Hae waved his hand on Kyu’s face, “Is everything fine?” he smiled at the dazzled Kyu

“Ugh… yeah, everything’s fine… did you do something with yourself? You look marvelous” he complimented

Hae was startled with his comment, “N-No… not really, I just changed my clothes all in all” he shyly answered

“Well, you look really good tonight. Hope you wouldn’t mind me being a tad bit early” he smiled charmingly

“It’s fine, I was already finished getting ready” he lowered his head right after he had finished

“Shall we?” he offered his hand

“Let’s, oh, by the way… I’m not a girl to be assisted like that” he lightly patted off the his hand

“My bad” he smiled and let Donghae through before he followed after, he did rushed to open Hae’s door though and Hae felt he was a bit ridiculous on doing so “I can open the door on my own, I’m not disabled” he got inside and Kyu then closed the door

He made his way around and got into the driver’s seat, “I’m sorry, I’m just not used on letting someone gorgeous do something like those while we’re on a date” he smirked

“Whatever…” he giggled at his statement

They both laughed a little as they made their way to the mall, Kyu didn’t want Hae to have a boring drive so he did his best to make him laugh with his jokes and his funny faces from time to time. Just like yesterday, he felt great on just seeing him smile and laugh at his effort. He felt contentment with just the sight of it and he feels that it’s more than enough to say that it’s a wonderful night for him

When they got to the theater they made their way to the movie’s door way, Hae didn’t know what kind of movie he bought for them though. With confident Kyu smiled and tried to pull out the tickets he had bought but… to his shock he didn’t get his hands on the tickets he had purchased earlier. He looked around his coat’s pocket with a distressed look in his face which Hae had noticed

“Anything wrong?” he asked

“N-No… not at all” he wanted to act cool, he wants to show that everything’s under control

“Tell you what, I’ll just get something for us to nibble on while you wait for a minute or two here” Hae nodded

“I’ll be right back” he then rushed to the ticket booth to purchase another set of tickets but “I’m sorry sir but we ran out of tickets for that movie” the lady told him

“Are you sure? Is there anything else we could do? I really need two tickets and it’s for my date… please I don’t want to screw up” he pleaded, “I’m very sorry sir but the movie’s tickets are sold out and we can’t generate another ticket until tomorrow” she bowed for the inconvenience

“ this Kyuhyun, what the hell happened to the tickets. I know I placed it in this damn coat earlier” he face palmed at his mistake

Regretfully he made his way back to Hae, he sighed empty handed. “So what did you buy actually?” Hae wondered

“I-I’m sorry Hae, it’s just that I seem to have misplaced the tickets that I bought earlier and… the movie tickets for this one seems to be sold out… I’m very sorry about this, I really am” Hae smiled

“Don’t be, it’s fine. We can watch another movie if you’d like to?” Hae offered an alternative

“Is that fine with you?” Hae nodded

“Alright then, let’s pick out a movie for you” they made their way to the ticket booth

Kyu’s eye twitched with the sign that was placed on the counter, “All tickets are sold out” Kyu grunted “Damn it what the hell happened?” he felt so miserable all of a sudden

“I-It’s fine Kyu, it’s just a movie. tell you what, let’s watch a movie on your place… I think you have some movies we could watch there” he thought Kyu was being so worked up with this date

“Are you sure?” he weakly asked

“Yes, it’s fine with me… let’s just watch a movie together, for me that’s same as going to the theater and to add it all up there’s no other people that would walk in front of you and the chair’s doesn’t have those mess others leave right after the show” he chuckled

“I’m really sorry for screwing this up” he apologized once more

“It’s nothing, come on” he invited

They got back to Kyu’s place and they’ve also bought some snacks on the snack bar. They went to the living room and Kyu brought out some canned soft drinks and turned off all the lights, leaving the TV’s screen light on. Then he got a good horror movie he had and placed it on the player, Kyu sat beside Hae and he felt warmly at just by being beside him at that point

“What kind of movie is this by the way?” Hae wondered

“It’s just like what Henry told me, you do like~” he got cut off when Donghae was startled with a shocking scene, though he wasn’t shocked with what he had hear nor seen. He was more likely shocked on the embrace Hae did. He felt his pulse rise as Hae’s arms were all around him

“Darn it, it’s a horror movie!” he buried his face on Kyu’s chest as he continued to hear the background still being too scary for him plus the fact that it was very dark on their spot

He took a hold on Hae, “Are you afraid?” he asked softly

“Y-Yes… I’m really scared of this kind of movies” he shivered at the background noise being made

“I-I’m terribly sorry, I didn’t know that you were~” he stopped as Hae knocked him down on the couch as the background startled him

Hae laid on top of him as they both laid down on the couch, his heartbeat never raced so much with what happened. He wrapped his arms around him “I’m here, I’ll protect you” he unconsciously said

“I’ll protect you from this fear” he whispered, Hae then realized that he had knocked his down. He raised his head and looked at Kyu “Uh-Uhmm… I’m very sorry, I just got scared with this and~” Kyu sealed his words with his lips. He was able to control himself with the rush he was feeling at that very moment

Kyu continued to kiss him; he was driven by this strong feeling. Hae also kissed back at his sweet pair of lips, he felt ever so wonderful about their tender kiss and he had also seem to forget about the horror film that they’re watching. They were both drawn into the strange attraction they’re going through

It took about a minute before they parted, “Do you still want to watch or you’d prefer kissing me as well? But to be honest with you, I’d prefer the kissing better” he smiled and Hae pouted

“You , you planned this haven’t you?” he frowned

“N-No, I didn’t know you were afraid of horror films. Henry told me you were fond of watching these kinds of movies” he explained

“Damn that guy, he’s done more than enough, I’m really gonna snap his neck for this” he gripped his hands making Kyu flinch in pain

“I’m sorry, I-I should get off of you~” he was about to get off but Kyu tightened his embrace

“Like I’d let you, you should be comfortable on where you are” he smiled at him
 

Hae felt his cheeks burn with their position and the fact that Kyu seemed so charming in his eyes at that very moment. They both felt the rush and the adrenaline on being so close to each other like that and there seems to be no lust within that strong feeling they were going through. They’ve yet to understand their heart’s content at that time but maybe in time they’d understand what it really is, even for a different way they might know what it really is.
