~ In The Waiting  Room ~

 

 

"Hmm, so where was the waiting room again?" the girl whsipered to herself while serching for her desired destination, her eyes scanning through the various rooms in the hallways she was walking in.

This was rare, given that the girl would'nt be here roaming by herself in attempt to find where she would be practicing for her performance, because well, she was the artist. Wans't that the staff's job?

But not this time,  Today they were holding The Golden Disk Awards and she was here to perform 

She was originally planned to share a room with f(x) and missA, which meant her spending time with both of her bestfriends, Luna and Suzy. How great was that? But no, her luck as always. The staff told her manager that the room she shared with the other two bands isn't usable at the moment.

Appearntly there was some problem with the air conditioner and with a hot summer day like this, they couldn't possibly let them stay there.

And perform while they're soaked in sweat? Never.

By making quick adjusments, the staff sent the other two bands to two seperated rooms that were already packed with other groups. Seriously the number of idols are getting out of control. And so, the same thing went to her. 

 

"Aish I shouldn't have run off without chipmunk manager. Did the room vanish or something?" pouting, she forced her legs to continue moving, as she for the nnth time scanned the white boards that were stuck on the walls beside each door.

"Hm, 'SHINee - Teen Top' no not this one. 'INFINITE - CNBlue - Juniel' ani.. 'Super Junior' ahh I miss the super junior oppas, should I greet? 

*wacks head* Jieun there's no time for that! You're stuck here and you need to find the darn room as soon as possible. Hm but again, I can ask them..? Aish keep moving! So where was I .. Yeah 'T-ara - Ailee - Girls Day' Aww Jiyeon is there.. *pouts* wish I can be with her right now *sigh* .... "

 

She kept going from one hallway to another and her head was getting dizzy,  just when she thought about giving up and invading any room she saw in her way, she found it, the name she was searching for... "EXO" she murmured. Stepping closer to the door, she knocked it softly. But soon heard the massive war going inside and knew there was no way they're going to realize someone was waiting outside, so she knocked again but this time a little louder.

Hearing the noise going down slightly, she knocked for the third time but her hand was barely touching the door, for she didn't want them to think she was

waiting for a long time. Well, she thought it was manners. Anyway, the door slid open, revealing a handsome guy whom she easily recognised "Suho sshi, Annyeonghaseyeo" she bowed slightly. The latter was rather surprised, 'What was the nation's little sister doing here?' he questioned himself. But quickly

returned her greeting "Ah annyeonghaseyeo sunbae-nim." he replyed with a loud voice and a 90 degree bow.

 

"Suho hyung, who is it?" she heard someone from behind asking, curiousty evident in his voice.

 

"IU sanbae-nim." The EXO-K leader said with a low voice, but that was enough for all the members to jerk their heads in surprise. 'What was the nation's little sister doing here?!' the same thought  crossed all of the 11 members minds. Well, their teamwork was really something huh? Even the EXO-M

members knew her. But that couldn't be considered something special, for they were promoting as a whole with EXO-K now, and they were in Korea

so it's only natural for them to get to know more about the other K-Idols. 

 

The petite girl was standing still, waiting for someone to speak. She cursed heavens and earth for putting her in this situation, especially because it's EXO.  Befor you get ready to cut her into pieces and send her to the graveyard, she had nothing against EXO. But why must there be twelve member?! 

Scratch that, why must there be twelve GUYS?! She, the super awkward person with even girls, what did she do to be here with twelve males?!

Maybe for you fangirls, this would be a dream. But for our beloved solo artist, this was no where near a dream. More of a nightmare if you ask her.

 

She forced a nervous smile to appear on her lips, adding more to the beauty of her face. "Uhh, so I guess they didn't tell you? Um, I'm going to use this room with you because ahh the air conditioner,you know had a problem and yeah I'm supposed to use this one instead... With you guys ofcourse. 

Ehm right, do you mind so?" She explained, not too sure of what she just said.  She heard chuckles and

mentally smacked herself *Props for embarrassing yourself, Lee Jieun.." Looking up, she faced the guy who opened the door for her and found him smiling, suddenly feeling like a lost rookie askin 

her sunbae for directions. "Of course we don't mind sunbae-nim, it's an honor to share a room with you." Suho told her with a respectful smile.  "Eeyy what honor" she murmured to herself, which didn'tgo unheard by the leader who didn't resist letting a small chuckle *you babo babo babo shut your mouth!*

the girl scolded herself. She tightend her grip on the handle of her guitar suitcase and slowly slid into the room, welcomed by another eleven gazes

*They're staring through my soul!* She couldn't help but shake a little *You're the sunbae dammit! Act a little confident...*

 

"Annyeonghaseyeo IU sunbae-nim!" eleven voices chorsed at the same time. Which was to tell you, VERY loud. Seeing them bow to her a full 90 degree, she reminded herself *See, you should act like a proper sunbae and greet them back with full confidence!* "Ahh neh annyeonghaseyeo.." 

 She replyed their greeting with a barely audible voice. Confidence yeah right.

 

She scanned the room quickly, searching for a 'safe' place to sit "Um I'll just sit there and practice while you guys can continue with whatever you were doing, don't mind me.." As if she wasn't waitingfor a reply, she slightly quikened her pace to reach the couch she found siutable for her to sit on.

Putting her guitar beside her, she gave them a quick smile befor averting her gaze again to open her guitar suitcase. 

 

*Cute.* the twelve members couldn't help but think. 

 

Picking her guitar up, she held it in a comfortable position and started strumming a little, befor stopping again. How was she supposed to concentrate?! She felt insecure, being under the gazes of these twelve curious guys. Sure, she was used to this on stage with hundred and thousends of people staring at her, but.. This was different! She don't know why but it WAS. It wasn't even like they were dead silent and just staring at her. No, they were chatting normally. Chanyeol and Baekhyun were fighting even. She felt like she was overreacting by herself. She didn't really need to practice anything, she has 

 already done that. She just needed distraction, yeah distraction. "Sink with the flow of the music, sink with the strums of your guitar" she whispered to

herself. 

 

Again, while having her eyes closed, she started strumming her guitar, and this time it looks like she really did lose herself with the song, for she didn't feel any of the pressure and anxiety from just befor. Just her guitar, and her.

 

~ IU - Bad day ~

*note : It's a self composed song by IU, she performed it in one of here Real Fantasy concerts I think. Go listen to it it's really beautiful!*

 

As she continued to sing, she didn't realize that the whole room sank in deep silence. The gazes on her were more powerful than when she first entered. The nearest couch to her which was previously occupied by just two members was now filled with twelve heavy bodies sitting on top of each other

like they were some kids in a kindergarten. 

 

Xiumin, who kept on murmuring compliments every few second, was hushed by his dongsaengs. "Hyung! can't you stuff your mouth with a steamed bun and shut up for a moment?" Chanyeol said witha low voice. Which sounded quite funny because his voice is already low.  "If it was another time I would've started a fight with you but I'm not free right now.." Xiumin said, while keeping his eyes on  the pretty singing girl infront of them.

 

Finishing off with the last few strums of her guitar, Jieun looked up, almost giving mini heartattacks to each one of the members who were too into the song to realize she already stopped singing.And with them crumbled in that small couch, you can just imagine how they looked like when they attempted to escape. Disaster. Their legs tangled together and they all fell on the floor like some kind of destroyed buildings falling on top of each other.

 

Both sides stared at each other..

 

Jieun *blink blink*

 

EXO *glance..*

 

Jieun *tilts head* 

 

EXO *glance..*

 

Jieun *Puts guitar away*

Jieun *...*

 

Exo *glance..???*

 

Both *....................*

 

"BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Jieun suddenly fell on the floor beside them, laughing her heart out. "You guys look like.. you look like.. a snowball.. Ahahahahahahaha!"

Yes, Lee Jieun. The awkward shy turtle, that same Lee Jieun, was particualry rolling on the floor almost dying from laughter while holding her stomach and pointing her finger everywhere...

 

EXO *....................................*

 

Oh no...

EXO guys? 

...

....

Don't be freaked out we'll explain! Uhh you know our Jieun was just caught in the whole thing and-

 

"BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" The whole EXO guys exploded in laughter.

 

*note: I exaggerated.... ehm.*

 

The whole room "BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

 

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA..... AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!"

 

"You guys here can you be nice kids and just SHUT UP?!" appearently a stuff member, shouted from outside, irritation visible in his voice. 

 

"Ahhhhhhhhh~~~" all of them let a content sigh, such a good laugh eh? 

 

"Wait.." Jieun suddenly blurted. turning a little red, *Da faq did I just do?! You crazy stupid mentally ill big mouthed girl! Omg omg omg omg om-*

 

"Sunbae-nim, no need to act shy when we all saw how you looked just a few seconds ago." Kai said with a smirk. Jieun blushed, "I- I'm not!" defending herself, she got on her feet and tried to act normal.Yeah, normal. "Ehm" Jieun cleared her throut, trying to find anything distracting.

"Sunbae! You look a lot more cuter when you smile! Smile!" Sehun performed his deadly aegyo, which meant he already liked this noona. Oh Sehun doesn't show you his aegyo easily unless you're worth it, note this.

 

Slowly, a smile crept on her face, how can she resist this bubble of cuteness right here? He was soooo cute!  "Alright! Pretty noona is pretty~~" the little maknae sang happily which earned him a smack on the head. "Hyung!" he whined. "Shut it maknae!" Kai rolled his eyes, annoyed.

"Hey, I need to do my maknae tricks on you, too! I tell you I'm 100 times more cuter than this kiddo over there! Noona, I'm a kungfu panda!" Tao striked a fighting pose, but his face was looking all cute and stuff, it was pretty adorable that Jieun couldn't help but chuckle.

 

"Anyway sunbae-nim!  Your voice is really beautiful, and you play the guitar really well! I envy you." Luhan said, his large eyes full of admiration. "Yup yup, it's really daebak! No wonder you're the nation's little sister!" Baekhyun agreed. The rest nodded along, showing their approvement of the two's statements. 

Jieun flushed bright red "Ani it's really nothing special. I just have a decent voice." She waved her hands in the air, as if trying to prove her point. 

"Eeyy sunbae why are you acting humble and all? We all know that you know that you have a great voice  you know!" Chanyeol closed his eyes and nodded 

to his own statement as if he was some sort of a genius. "Shut up yeol or I'll break up with you and tell our fans to find you a new wife." Baekhyun threatened. "Oh no you won't! "Oh. yes I will!" "Baek Hyung!" "What?!"  "Stop it you two!" both of them looked down. "Neh, duizhang." 

 

Jieun's nervousness started to ease and fade away. EXO seemed to be very nice. Yes, she knew most of the male idol groups were nice but she never had the chance to get closer to them, or she never had the courage to do so. She admit that she had a few secret crushes whom she will NEVER let anyone 

find about. Well, maybe her bunch of stupid bestfriends but yeah it was an absolute secret.

INFINITE's L, MBLAQ's Lee Joon, BAP's Daehyun and a few others. She thought she wasn't attracted to good-looking guys, WHY DID SHE FALL FOR THEM THEN? Oh well, it must be her little hidden fan-girl heart. Another top secret. But yeah, it was just a little crush. Nothing more.  She doesn't have time for 

heart breaks and bla bla other serious stuff.

 

"But sunbae, do you know all of our names?" Chen asked while pointing to the members, eager to hear her answer. The rest seemed just as interested, as they all gazed at her a little too deeply. Jieun on  the other hand, scanned all of their faces quickly, as if to make sure she knew them all.  She did, thanks to her Inkigayo MC position, it was important to memorize all of the rookies' names, for interviews and stuff. And come on, who doesn't know EXO?  They were

POPULAR. Like seriously popular. Their names are being shouted everyday by crazy fangirls. How can you not know of them?

 

"Em, yeah. I do." she answerd hesitently. "Oh yeah?!" Luhan beamed. "Then, can you call each one of us by their names right now?" He asked, eagerly . Lay elbowed him,  "Luhan." He hissed. The deerboy looked at him, "What?" Lay rolled his eyes, and Luhan got the point. "Oh.." He turned to look at Jieun 

"Ehehe you don't have to.." The chinese boy quickly followed with an uneasy laugh. 

Chuckling, the petite girl responded, "Aniya it's okay, Luhan sshi. So..." she trailed, averting her gaze to the furthest one on the right. "Suho sshi, Chanyeol sshi, Baekhyun sshi-" "IU sunbae-nim knowsmy name!" Typical girl groups lover, Baekhyun, cut her off while jumping excitedly. "Ah neh neh now shut up baek." The others murmured, already used to their member's childish behaviour.

 

Jieun gave him a hesitant smile, nodding slightly, "Ah neh." she then looked at the two next to Baekhyun, the cute maknaes that she already formed a liking towards, "Maknaes, Sehun-sshi and Tao sshi."She sent a smile, and they beamed back.  "D.O sshi." she stared at the huge eyed man, who stared at her back. "It's true, your eyes are really big.." she whispered to herself. "Should I take it as a

compliment?" He smiled at her. *He heard me* "Ahaha I guess?" she cleared , "Then comes Kai-sshi. I MC-ed with you once." He nodded, grinning. "Lay sshi, Xiumin sshi and Chen sshi." she said the three names at once, then glanced at the last two, focusing on the super pretty boy, 

her smile brightened. "Luhan sshi." He gave her a thumbs up, and she had the urge to give him a hug *Soooo cuuuttte!* She thought. 

 Lastly, she glanced at the tall man on the left, and had sudden butterflies flying everywhere in her belly. gulping, she murmured nervously "Kris sshi." He didn't bother replying, instead, he stared right into her eyes, sending shivers down to her spine, her heart beating rappidly in her chest. 

*WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH MEH?! Don't tell me another possible crush? Ugh I have no life!* She lifted her gaze from him and looked anywhere randomly, blushing a little. 

 

"Omo omo omo, is our sunbae-nim falling for our duizhang already?" Xiumin wiggled his brows suggestively. The poor girl flushed bright red, "Wha- ah- no!" She denied, and heard the man in question letting out a chuckle. *Will I get anything other than embarrassment today? Sigh~* 

"Looks like it" Chanyeol more. She glared at him, trying to act mad which she didn't know looked awfully adorable. "Stop harrassing my noona already!" Sehun stepped up, acting like a hero to the resue. "He's right, be respectful guys." Suho scolded. Jieun sent them both a grateful smile.

"We're just playing around sunbae, don't take it to heart." Chen said gently. She felt this particular member had the mr. nice guy vibe, it seems she was right. "So, do you really like our duizhang?" he followed playfully. *Or maybe not.*

 

"Are you guys planning on standing here the entire day? I want to go and finish my steamed bun you know." Xiumin blurted. "You pig." all of them murmured in unison. Puffing his cheeks, he gave them a look. "A bunch of meanies!" 

"Anyway noona-" "Stop calling her noona Hun! It's sunbae-nim for you." Kai wacked his head. "Hyung!" he whined. "IU Noona won't mind, right noona?" She smiled, "No I don't. In fact, I'd prefer it if you don't refer to me as sunbae-nim. I see the title quite burdening actually.." She said while rubbing her neck. 

"Then can we call you by your name, Jieun-ah?!" Luhan asked, his eyes glittering under the lights of the room. "And you can call us comfortably, too!" She gulped *So quick?* "Ahaha. it's okay I guess..?" Sehun shot Kai a look "See? Anyway what was I saying? Right, noona come sit with us over there! 

We're friends now right?" Sehun blinked at her with his puppy eyes, knowing it can not be resisted. Jieun ruffled his hair "Aigoo you're so cute Sehun-ah."

 

She found herself being dragged by Sehun and Tao to the set of couches EXO were sitting on from befor. Settling down, she was circled by all of the members. Some of them even settled on the floor directly infront of her. But the one who caught her attention was Kris. He sat in the furthest corner on the 

couch and she found herself staring at him, at that right moment, he turned his head and caught her doing so, only to stare back, and send her a playful smirk. Blood rushed her face as she cursed herself under her breath. *BABO! Why am I staring at him like a freak?! He'd think I like him or something. 

But.. he looks so.. so.. HOT! Omg what am I even thinking! You rock head babo Jieun!* 

 

Lay picked the guitar up, and handed it to Jieun. "Jieun-ah, how about you play another song? But this time, we'll be sitting like how normal people do without any stupid.. um, poses? Yeah." *Jieun-ah* the name ringed in her mind *They're getting used to it pretty fast* She smiled to herself.

"Arrasso. I'll play one for you guys." "Assa!" Baekyeol pumped their fists in the air. 

 

"Ehm" the soloist cleared , ready to start. 

 

~IU - Peach ~ 

 

Her voice was relaxing, it was beautiful to the ears. Ringing clearly in the air, especially because it was acoustic. It makes you want to just close your eyes and sway your hands in the air. Just like how Yeol is doing at the moment. Not as exaggerated though *cough* Cut the act Yeol *cough* Ehm. 

 

The members were looking at her with admiration filling their eyes. They had always admired this sunbae to be honest. First of all, she was a soloist, which meant her facing loneliness, sadness, hardships, haters, and the world, alone. It was really scary, the thought of falling and standing again by yourself. 

You needed to be strong, really strong. And to be able to start doing that at such a young age, it proved someone's bravery. And that deserved an applaud. 

 

*Applaud applaud* 

 

She finished off her song, and opened her eyes to be greeted by other twelve pairs of eyes, smiling at her. 

 

"Jieun noona that was awesome! you're voice is painfuly great it's not even funny." Kai exlaimed. "It felt like I was listening to a lullaby. Noona can I call you every night and have you sing me to sleep?" Sehun said dreamly. "Aaaniii~~ I liked Jieun's voice befor you did Hun, she's going to sing for me~" 

"Lu Ge ge! You have a pretty voice yourself. Noona doesn't have time for everyone. Sooo, she will 

sing for the kungfu panda~ Noona look at these dark circles right here, I'm in the most need!"  "Aww I want a lullaby too!" "Get in line then!" "I asked noona first you can't be like this. Hyungs!" 

 

She stared at them silently, a content smile gracing her lips. She felt comfortable, relaxed, belonged and happy. Being with these boys just felt right. 

It hadn't even been an hour since she first entered the waiting room and cursed her bad luck,  and now she was saying everything felt right. What nonsense was that? She had no idea. It just did.

 

She let her gaze linger at one perticular member, Kris. Or rather, her possible new crush. *Oh god have mercy on me* Like seriously, why was she falling for good-looking men?! She must've gone insane. "Okay this is only going to be another small tiny little crush of mine that'll fade away with time as always.

Only a crush. Nothing more.." She whispered, trying to convince herself. But there was something inside her that told her otherwise. She couldn't help but think, something was different. And again, she had no idea what that was.

 

Kris caught her staring, for the second time *Oh god..* but this time, he smiled at her. A big, sincere, beautiful smile, that sent her heart racing and galloping like a wild horse in the middle of a field. *A.. small crush..* She gulped.

 

Suddenly, the door opened, revealing a staff member. "Guys, you should prepare. You're planned to perform next. First is EXO, next is you IU-sshi" "Neh." they all chorused. "And ah, don't forget to sit on your own tables in the hall after that. The staff will prepare everything, so just follow what they say." 

They all nodded their heads.

 

"So, should we head to the stage right now?" Suho being the leader, asked.

 

"Em.. yeah yeah go now." The staff member replyed mindlessly, his attention on the list in his hands. 

 

the members of EXO looked at Jieun, as if saying that she should come along. Getting what they meant, she shook her head. "You guys go ahead, my stylist will be coming to make her 'final touches'. Well, that was what she said." scratching her head, she gave them a little smile,  "I'll see you later, then?" 

"Arrasso noona! Don't run away!" She chuckled, "I won't, Sehun." 

 

They all pumped their fists in the air and chorused "Fighting!" befor EXO made their way to the door. Waving to Jieun, they slowly went out. Member after member, 'till there was only one left. Just a second befor stepping out of the room, he turned to face the petite girl,  and slowly approached her, with steady strides. He stopped right when there were only few inches left seperating them, only to bend down and have his face directly infront of hers.

Her breath caught, her heart possibly beating a million times each passing second, and her eyes staring directly into his, only to sink deeper into his dark-brown orbs. She saw him smirk, and she mentally started squealing like a fangirl. The other side of his lips slightly twitched, and his deadly hot smirk

was replaced by a genuine smile. "Do well in your performance." He said gently, with a smexy husky voice. She thought that she could possibly die and go to heaven this right moment if not to the confusion she felt, which was caused by his actions. 

 

And then, what happened next was just..

utterly..

shortly.. 

in all honesty..

 

Mind blowing.

 

He pecked her, on the cheek. 

He pecked her, on the cheek.

He PECKED HER ON THE CKEEK. 

 

She blinked, her mind not really progressing what just happend right now.. 

In a blink of an eye, all blood in her body rushed to her cheeks, her ears, her whole face. 

Butterflies were flying and dancing and possibly having a dancing party tonight in her little belly. 

 

"Ahh- ahhh- I- Umm- well,..." her hands were flying everywhere, and she wasn't able to form a single understandable word. She heard him laugh, and she

mentally slapped herself. She sighed and looked down, "Uh I will, go- gomawo.." she murmurmed, and looked up back at his face, meeting his warm gaze.

"You're cute, Jieun." he ruffled her hair. His smile never left his face.

 

*Le dies* 

 

"KRIS HYUNG! AREN'T YOU COMING?!" a voice hollered from distant, which anyone can tell was Chanyeol's.

 

"Oh, I need to go. See you later, Jieun." He sent her a last smile befor going out to follow s. Leaving Jieun with all the feels and a dumbfounded expression.

 

"See you later, Kris." She said, a smile slowly making its way to her bright red face. *Maybe, just maybe, my love life will start taking a new turn in the future. The near future..*

I just got engrossed in the whole thing and it turned out to be like this. 

Um, since it's my first attempt in writing a fic, I don't really expect you to praise me or anything.

To be honest I was hesitant wether to post it or not, but in the end I just did it because I had fun writing, so I wanted to share my first ever story with you guys.

I LOVE IU,  I LOVE EXO, AND I ABSOLUTLY LOVE IUxEXO PAIRING. XD 

*I love pairing IU with any handsome idol out there actually.. Ehm*
