Uggh. She's drunk AGAIN. How can a Mother get drunk infront of her on Daughter. She's been like this since the car accident. I was only 10 when it happened. It was a couple months after we moved away from Seoul. My parents kept bickering with each other about everything and then one day they just exploded at each other. I kept hearing yells coming down  from the kitchen. My Father was so mad that he went out of the house and drove away. The next day we got a call from the police and they said that he had died due to a car accident. My mother's face fell when she heard the news  and I started crying. Ever since that day my mother has regreted fighting with him. The last thing she said to him was "I hate you!" She has been stressed over everything and grew into depression. She would get drunk everynight and while she was she would just get mad at me and hit me for no reason. One day she was drunk and she took me into her car. She started dirving but since he was drunk she lost control and we got into an accident. I hit my head on something hard when we got hit so I can't remember anything from when I was young. Everything was a blur to me.

My mother started walking towards me with a knife in her hand trying to stab me with it. "MaeYoung come here and let me cut you to shreds!" Mother said. With a smirk on her face. 

"Umma! D-don't do this your drunk!" I stammered. She usually does this but this time she looked serious like she's acually going to do it. I couldn't take it anymore! So I ran up to my room. I packed up most of my clothes. Took everything I needed. Stole a bunch of cash from my Mom and headed out the door as fast as I can. I knew how to take care of myself since I was 13 so I knew i'll do fine. I started walking to wherever my legs took me. "Uggh! I don't know where to go now!" I screamed. 

"Screaming will get you no where you know." Hye Mi said camly. Hye Mi is my best friend. She knows everything about me. About my Mom. What happened to my Dad. She knows EVERYTHING. She's been my bestfriend since kindergarden. I know they say true friends aren't the people you knew the most. True friends are the people who came into you life and never left. But in this case Hye Mi is both she is the friend that I have known the most and she came into my life and never left. That's why she's my only true friend. Well acually she is my only friend. The other kids are scared of me. I have a temper and don't really trust people. But I know I can count on Hye Mi.

"H-Hye Mi-ah. What are you doing here this late?" I asked looking at my watch. "It's almost 1:00 A.M."

"I went to take a midnight walk and I just happen to see you scream your head off." Hye Mi said looking at my bag. "What's that? It looks like you're running away. Why?".

"Isn't it obvious. It's because of my mom. She took out a knife and really tried to kill me this time." I murmured. I've tried to runaway before but Hye Mi always showed up at the right time and stopped me. "And you're not stopping me this time."

"Okay I won't stop you but at least let me come with you. Arrasso?" She asked with a smile on her face. Me and Hye Mi were kind of the same we both come from a messed up family. Her parents are always away. She has an older brother to take care of her but all he does is do drugs, have fights at school, and get drunk. When her brother drinks he sometimes tries to hit Hye Mi. She may look happy on the outside but she's the complete opposite in the inside. 

"Arrasso. You can come but don't you need to pack up?" I asked.

"Oh yeah. Let's stay at my house just for the night and then leave early in the morning. That way we can pack up everything we need, get some sleep, and go early in the morning." She said. Oh and another thing she likes planning everything out and always wants to be ready. It's like if you trip and fall she already has a bandaid for you. 

We got to her house in about 5 minutes. And did I forget to mention? She's ing Rich! Her father is the CEO of Kim Industries. Yes she's the heiress but her brother will be taking her place instead. She got all her things ready took all the money she can get. Which was A LOT of money. Then we tried to go to sleep. "Hye Mi. You still Awake?" I asked.

"Yes. Wae?" Hye Mi said.

"Gomawo." I said and I really meant it. After that I fell asleep. And had that dream again...
