“Noona,” You took your attention off of your portrait and looked up at the young boy. “Zelo hyung told me you and Daehyun hyung are eating at the dance studio from now on.” He finished with a smile and swayed side to side.

All you did was reply him with a smile, seeing how you haven’t told Daehyun yet, the idea of him approving is unknowing.

“Well if you do come make sure to say hi, I want to show you my dance moves.”

“Mmm, I’ll look for you first thing.”

“Yay, I’ll see you then noona.” He got up from his seat and swung his bag over his shoulder. “Oh and if you happen to have seen Jimin and Hoseok hyung dance, I’m five times better.”He let out a playful chuckle and walked out just as the bell rung.

“Mian for not telling you about our new eating arrangement, and that you had to hear it from Junhong.” You smiled apologetically and waited for his reply. All he did was look up to you with his head down and chuckled lightly.

You looked at him funny but before you could ask he spoke.

“Psh, there’s no need to apologize. The location isn’t important, as long as I get to eat then I’m happy to go wherever you want.” You smiled shyly and lead the way to the Dance Studio.

After settling down, like you promised the first thing you did was scan the room for Jungkook.

“What are you doing Juni?” Daehyun walked to your side after dropping his bag on the ground and looked towards the direction you were staring at.

You stood there with shaky hands, the thought of him being with his friends never crossed your mind even if it was obvious. What should you do? If you go over there you’re bound to embarrass yourself, but a promise is a promise and you can’t hurt someone like Jungkook.

“Daehyun~ah, I have to say hi to Jungkook, come with me?” You asked, hoping he’ll say yes.

He gave you a slight nod looking at the group of boys. Honesty he was happy that you asked for his company, he felt like he could protect you whenever you’re in an uncomfortable environment.

You made your way step by step, gulping down your fears as you reached Jungkook and his friends.

“Noona! Hyung!”

You were greeted by Jungkook’s cheerful face along with two smiling faces in the back. Wait, two??? Jimin and... HOSEOK?? He’s smiling at you! What to do? You tapped your fingers against your legs as your whole body began to heat up. His eyes on you was impossible to ignore. Beads of sweat formed on your forehead as you swallowed and opened your mouth to speak.

“Jungkook.” You finally greeted him but the feeling you had was still the same.

“Yah, I don’t get a greeting?” The capped boy in the back pouted feeling unfair with the attention.

You pursued your lips and began tapping your fingers again.

“Oh, mianhae. Hi Jimin.” He cracked a smile and nodded satisfiedly.

His entertaining charms made you shake your head and as you looked up, an accidental eye contact was made with the person you least wanted attention from. You smile towards him and looked away as casual as possible.

After that there was an awkward silent. You looked around feeling uncomfortable but from the corner of your eye a movement was made which caught your attention. You watched as Jimin nudged the person beside him, and then whispered something into his ear.

Hoseok cleared his throat gaining your attention back on the boys.

“I’m J-Hope.” He held his hands up then shook it side to side making you melt from head to toe.

You smiled shyly but before you could reply someone grabs you by the shoulders.

“Noona, I need to show you my dance.” Jungkook pulled you to the side, away from the two boys.

Music wasn’t even needed as he began to dance. the way he moved was impossible to follow along, especially his amazing footwork. It left you speechless, standing in front of him with your mouth dropped open.

“I told you he was good.” Zelo somehow popped up besides you. “You should see all three of them dance together noona.”

“Yeah, you should.” Jimin said stepping forward.

“Come to music night next week.” The voice caught you off guard. You froze as Hoseok spoke again. “We’re performing as Dancing 9. “ He smiled at you and all you could do was nod at his words.

You, being so mesmerized form Hoseok’s presence you didn’t even realized Daehyun was already sitting on the wooden floor eating his lunch. You smiled to yourself and made your way toward him

“Mian, I got hungry.” He said as he slurped the noodle from his container.

“When is Daehyun not hungry?” You joked, referring him in third person. He shrugged and got back to eating.

You took a seat in front of him. Your eyes couldn’t help but wonder to the dance students, one in particular. While having your full attention on the fascinating view your hands slowly digged into the backpack looking for the lunch you packed. After finally getting it out with a bit of a struggle you popped it open only to have it backfire. Hoping that it would just causally open like it always does, this time the food spilled out.Your eyes widen in embarrassment, everyone’s attention was already on you. At this point you were afraid of looking up, what if Hoseok’s laughing?

But your heart was not listening to your head. It wanted to you know if he was the kind who pointed and laugh at people’s accidents. You closed your eyes and took a deep breath before slowly lifting your head up to look at the direction you last saw him.There he was standing in the same position he was minutes ago with his friends next to him. Your eye scanned his faces relieved that he wasn’t one of those people. All he had was a small smile on his face, not the kind that made fun though.

The next thing you knew, as you turned your head back on the spilled food it was all gone.Your eyes followed up to the person with dirty hands.You let out a laugh thanking Daehyun for cleaning up the mess.

“Noona.” You turned your attention to the voice behind you. Zelo and Jongup was panting while their hands was gripping on some paper towels.  

“Thanks guys.” You gave them a warm smile turning back to Daehyun with sheets of paper towels, but before helping the boy you smoothly clean the floor in one sweep whipping up the leftover sauce. The dirty sheet was placed aside while you took the others into your hands and finally gave your full attention to the patient boy.

“Here let me clean them for you.” You gave him a wide smile while reaching out for his hand. Daehyun smiled back at you but his eyes wandered off to the boy he knew you had a crushed on. No matter how much he wants you to help him clean off the mess he didn’t want you to do something that might make you regret. Hoseok was staring right at you and Daehyun knew that he might misunderstand toeards your caring actions.

Before you were able to take Daehyun’s hand in yours he pulled back. You looked at him tilting your head to the side full of confusion. He then smiled, telling you that it was nothing to be worried about. His hands reached out and kindly took the paper towels out of your grip.

“I got it, but thanks.” He flashed a smile before whipping his hands clean.

You were still confused. Having Daehyun clean up the food for you the least you could do was to help him with his hands. All you did was stare at him, he seemed different than usual.

Fifteen minutes seemed to pass so fast. Lunch was over before you knew it, maybe it was just because you spent too much time cleaning and wondering about why Daehyun acted like that.

You were on your way back to the classroom when you felt something poke your arm. You turned to the boy next to you and noticed that Daehyun was holding his plastic container up.

“You must be hungry,”  He flashed a smile opening up his box. “I save some noodles for you.” He handed you a fork insisting that you should take it. You smiled idiotically, never have you thought or witness Daehyun not finishing his food, let alone share it with someone else.You took the fork and thanked him but you couldn’t help but think if he purposely save the food or if he was just out of time. While thinking about that the other question from earlier popped in your head again.

“I was just trying to be helpful and to repay you for cleaning up my mess.” You mumbled with your mouth full.

He looked up at your sudden words while bending down busy filling his mouth with noodles.You let out a laugh at his position and waited patiently for him to swollowed.

“Don’t take it as a bad thing Juni, there were just too much people and I didn’t want anyone to misunderstand.” He partly lied, yes it was too much people but the thought of having people mistaken you and him as couples were something he’s proud of.

You were still not satisfied in his answer though. You knew Daehyun for about three years now and when it comes to the public you knew it never worried him. If he was worried of misunderstanding then his actions would have changed one-eighty a long time ago. You scoffed and stood in place making him drop some noodles on to the ground.

Daehyun knew you didn’t believe in his answer. Having to be your stubborn self you weren’t moving until you get an answer.

He slumbered his shoulders having no choice.

“I didn’t want J-Hope to misunderstand.” He let out quietly.

Your smile stretched from ear to ear, happy in his unexpected answer. But you weren’t surprised that he knew about your crush, he is your best friend anyway.

“Eo, gomawo.” You thanked him for being so caring towards your love life. It was something new from him.

Daehyun slightly nodded and showed you a mere smile before entering the classroom.
