The city looked beautiful at midnight with all of the colorful lights in it. Jonghyun jogged lightly from the coffee shop. He held two Styrofoam cups of coffee in his hands. The coffees were hot unlike the weather that he felt right now. His ears even turned red because of the coldness but it didn’t stop him for going out from his house.

He arrived at the bar and opened the door. He could hear the music inside although the bar had already closed. The waiter – who held a mop in his hand – glanced at him, “My apologize sir, but we’ve already closed now.”

Jonghyun grinned playfully, “I know, I have to meet my friend – the singer.”

The waiter shrugged and continued his work, “If that’s so”

Jonghyun then walked slowly, stared at the singer who still singing. He always love the singer’s voice, nothing can compare it.

The singer stopped singing when he noticed Jonghyun was there, “Hey. Why not tell me you’ve already here?”

Jonghyun just grinned and didn’t answer it but replied it with question too, “Thirsty?” he handed the singer the coffee.

“You didn’t answer me”, he complained but his hand took the cup.

Jonghyun stared at the singer while he took a sip of his coffee, “You know – your voice is beautiful, Onew.”

Onew just laughed shortly, “Beautiful? Like ‘Beauty and the Beast?”

Jonghyun befuddled, “What’s that suppose to mean?”

The taller sighed and pouted, “Never mind – lame joke.”

Jonghyun laughed loudly, he shook hard that the coffee almost fall from his grasp. Onew ignored his friend’s laughed and continued his drink. Between his laughed, Jonghyun tried to speak.

“But I’m serious. Your voice is beautiful; it made me shiver when I hear yours.” He said after he could manage to stop the laugh.

It was Onew’s turn to laugh out loud. Jonghyun rolled his eyes; Onew couldn’t stop his laugh easily once he started, “I’m serious, Lee Jinki!”

“Am I a ghost so hearing my voice can make you shivering?”

“It’s not like that, Onew.” Jonghyun sighed desperately, “Don’t you know you always run in my mind?”

Onew raised his eyebrow, “That is impossible, Jonghyun. Don’t you know I always hate running?”

The shorter one slapped his own face. It’s always hard to tell the older his feeling. He tried to show it obviously all the time but Onew never catch the signal. “Are you stupid or what?”

 “What. did. you. just. say?” he narrowed his eyes.

“Nothing”, Jonghyun answered casually, “You have finished, right? Why don’t we go home now?” he threw the empty Styrofoam cup to the dustbin which made Onew wonder, when did he swallow it all.

“But you said at the phone that you want to talk to me first before we go home. What was it?”

Jonghyun sighed again. Crap, the confession, he thought. He planned to confess to Onew today so he called Onew before he went to the bar. But it seemed Onew just out of reach right now – his brain, especially. His mind tried to think fast so he could lie to Onew, “Er, you know. So there’s– “

“Hold on, we should take a seat before you start your bed-time story”, Onew said before took a seat at a random chair near him. Jonghyun rolled his eyes but did the same too.

“So”, Onew took a sip of his coffee before continued, “go ahead.”

Jonghyun closed and opened his eyes, “Well, there is a friend of mine.”

“Uh-huh”, Onew nodded. He looked focus this time but it won’t be long. Jonghyun thought that it was cute.

“Um, this friend of mine is kind, funny, adorable, clumsy and beautiful.”

“Really? You should bring your friend here”

“But you’ve already know him so well.”

Onew frowned, “‘Him?’ Wasn’t should be ‘her’ instead of ‘him’ for beautiful?”

Jonghyun smiled awkwardly, “Uhm, yeah– er, I mean– him. Uh, err, no I mean her.”

Even though Jonghyun’s behavior looked weird, Onew didn’t really mind it, “Then?”

“Then”, Jonghyun paused a bit to swallow his own saliva, “I fall I love with my friend.”

Somehow Onew looked sad and mixed up a bit but he tried his best to smile, “Wow! That is good, then! I want to know her more. Call her!”

Jonghyun raised his eyebrow, “What for?”

“I have said that I want to know her more, haven’t I?” he folded his arms. The shorter sighed but he dug his pocket to find is mobile. Suddenly, Onew got an idea, “Wait!”

Jonghyun rolled his eyes again. If he had counted how many times he had done it when he’s with Onew, he had to bring calculator to calculate it, “What do you want now?”

“You should confess to her.”

“What?”

“Should I tell you twice, Kim Jonghyun? Go, tell her, now”, Onew enunciated slowly so Jonghyun could hear it very clear.

Still looked baffled, he asked, “To whom?”

“The one you love”

Jonghyun smiled when he heard Onew’s answered. Onew waved his hand to him so he could quickly do what Onew had commanded. Jonghyun just nodded and started to spending time with his mobile.

Suddenly Onew’s mobile rang. He quickly reached it and opened it, he frowned.

“Didn’t I tell you to call the one you love?”

With his mobile in his ear, Jonghyun grinned and said, “I love you.”

i wonder will Onew understand at Jonghyun's confession this time?
