Jaehee has never known love, her first memory being the orphanage that sold her away to a local ahjumma who sold fishcakes, and mistreated her, making her work long hours when she was just 6. Since then, she had escaped, finding odd jobs along the way to keep herself alive. She dreams to go to school and gain a proper job, but that dream to her is impossible, and merely a fantasy to keep hope in herself.

Ljoe, on the other hand, had a beautiful upbringing, with loving parents who spoilt him but taught him well. But what happens when an accident happens, his father remarries and brings him to the US to live with his new wife? What happens when Ljoe simply does not fit in the US and causes trouble?

Ljoe is sent back to Korea to finish school with one last shot to fix up his life. SIck and tired of his life, Ljoe just wants to live his way, and decides to find someone to swap places with him. None of his childhood friends agree to this, and in the end, Ljoe turns to the streets, promising education, food and shelter, hoping to find someone desperate.

Will Jae Hee finally get her chance at her dream, in the name of someone else, when mistaken for a boy? Will Ljoe's plans be uncovered? What happens when Ljoe falls for the 'boy' he has saved?
