Flicking the wayward strand of hair out of her face, the young woman bobbed her head along to the music crooning through her ipod docking station.  Mouthing the words she knew by heart she grabbed her clip on wallet and house keys, shoving them into her pocket.  Leaning to the side, she plucked the headphones lying on the nightstand to slip them around her neck.

Her eyes lifted to the picture hanging just above her lamp with a slow smile.

"I'm heading out now, watch the room for me and make sure things remain intact."

Once securing her ipod to her belt, the young woman headed out of the room.  Before she could leave the foyer she found her name was called.  Tracking into the living room, she discovered her mother and aunt seated around the sofa with deep furls in their brows.  It was enough to make her mood decline.  Instinctively she knew what they were about to say to her when she noted the college pamphlets on the coffee table.

'Not now.  Can't I just have one day away from it?' she thought, her shoulders slacking.
