school gates
unrequited loveNaeun looked worriedly out the window towards the front gates, "where could he be?" she thought, looking out for the long hair that almost completely covered the young boys face. She was waiting to spy on the boy who usually would've walked through those gates ten minutes earlier, it seems he wasn't coming today. "Too bad..." she thought sadly, looking dejectedly down at her notebook. Underneath was a page from her artbook where she'd been sketching a picture of him, she stayed in class to study so much that morning and lunch break was the only time she could catch him. "Taeminnie where did you go?" Naeun whispered, stuffing the sketch into her desk. "Wait, I'm coming!" she heard him yell from outside, and her heart stopped as she turned her face back to the window. He was sprinting to the front gate, so fast his hair whipped off his face and she could see his beautiful eyes properly. "Oh..." Naeun hastily pulled the drawing paper back out and filled in the blank face as quick as she could, her eyes dashing back and forth from him to the paper. "Please sir i'm here! let me through!" Taemin asked the teacher at the gate, who with a roll of his eyes let the boy through. "Get in class before you're marked late!" the teacher said pushing him by the back down the path and into the school building. Taemin sighed, out of breath as he made for his classroom. Naeun sighed as well, she'd finally captured his face and there was definitely a likeness in the picture to her crush. "Pretty..." she thought with a small smile, hugging the paper. "Naeun-ah, time to start class!" one of her classmates said, pulling her out of her daydream state as she blinked and hastily stood up to call attention to the class. Meanwhile Taemin was in his own class, blinking curiously out the window as he remembered the pair of eyes that had been watching him come in, that had watched him come in almost every day as far back as he could remember. "I wonder who she was..." he thought a little curiously, though his friends and class starting turned his attention away from the small thoughts.
