Part VI

“Ha, found you!” Saki said, pulling aside the curtain which Sunwoo had been hiding behind in some half-mad game of hide and seek which they had started playing, “You’re it!”

Sunwoo couldn’t help but laugh at the little girl, “Aww man, how come you’re so good at this game?”

“Cause you’re a really noisy git when you get going Sunwoo,” Kyung said from his position on the sofa where somehow he had become Jin’s hugging pillow until he felt a little less inclined to jump at every last shadow. They all knew that the Leader hadn’t actually meant to scare him, it was just one of those things that happened, but Jin was still shaking just a little with the whole thing and probably wouldn’t shift anytime soon. This also meant that Kyung wasn’t going to be running around with the hyper little four year old girl, as he was on a switch off day in order to recharge his batteries. Gently he ran his fingers through the boy’s hair, loving the feeling of the softness and secretly feeling highly pleased with this situation. He was glad that he could contain his blue as Jin was laid on him just right in a perfect position as if they were meant to be connected together. Okay, his thoughts were so getting out of the gutter right this very second before things got really too strange for words.

Sang and Sunwoo, strangely, had taken it upon themselves to entertain the little girl who just happily accepted the attention and barely asked where her Daddy was. After Kyung had managed to get the camp stove working, Jae had put himself on cooking and drinks duties and currently had the kitchen to himself. Kiyeol had hidden initially at the appearance of Bradley, seeming unable to comprehend the elders return but no one was going to call him on it. Plus the boy was now sitting against the door to Jongki’s room, just waiting to try and apologise. Kyung had tried to talk him into joining in with the game but there was no way that Mouse was going to move from his new position until he had seen Mama Bear properly.

“Aww don’t pick on him, Kyung!” Sang said, suddenly latching onto Sunwoo from behind causing him to jump in fright, “It’s not his fault he’s a noisy one when he starts acting his age.”

Sunwoo glared at him, “Sod off Sang, you’re the one who needs to start acting his age.”

“Oppa Yun, Oppa Sun!” Saki immediately cut into the conversation, “No arguing!”

Jae laughed aloud, “Oh there’s no denying that she’s Bradley’s. You two best behave else she’ll tell on you.”

Kyung couldn’t resist joining in, “And we’ve got both Mom and Dad in the process of making up right now so you’ll be in double trouble if you misbehave.”

Without appearing to even communicate verbally or physically, both Sang and Sunwoo suddenly launched themselves at Kyung to give him a full tickle attack. Jin was dislodged onto the floor in the process but couldn’t help but laugh at the antics. “Oi, you two, watch out!” he said in-between giggles and tilted his head back at feeling little hands on his hair, “Hey Saki.”

“You feel better now, right Oppa Jin?” the girl asked, gently combing her fingers through his hair. They had half explained the situation to the girl and in her four year old logic it kind of made perfect sense. She had even admitted that she was still a little bit scared of the dark but she was going to be a big girl and scare away any monsters who tried to eat her. That had caused a round of laughter and pretty much set the girl up for the rest of the night. It was only just getting to eight thirty but since she was already up way past her usual bedtime, the girl hoped that she would be able to stay up really late tonight. Especially if she had all these wonderful Oppas to argue her case and she wasn’t sleepy in the slightest.

Jin smiled warmly to the little girl, petting her hair lightly back and nodding, “Aye aye, I am.”

“Good,” Saki grinned suddenly mischievously and bopped him on the head, “You’re it!”

The little girl was up and running in the next second and the elder boy didn’t even appear to register the fact that his head had just bounced off the floor. He scrabbled upright and took off after the happily squealing child, scooped her up easily enough and held her high. “Hey, watch the candles you lot!” Jae called, glad that he wasn’t in the middle of this manic lot at the moment, “We don’t need a fire right now!”

Carrying a tray of cups, the boy set it carefully down on the table, only for the next second to be grabbed by Sunwoo and pulled into the tickle war that was going on between the now four boys. Jin and Saki were in hysterics though keeping well out of any possible grab range and the sound of merry laughter filled the dorm for what felt like the first time in a very long time.

From his vantage point by the door to the elder’s room, Kiyeol smiled gently at seeing the others acting so happy and carefree. It was amazing to see the change in them in the space of less than an hour just by bringing Bradley back into the picture. The other night they had mainly just stuck to themselves, in smaller quiet clicks and it was rare to see them playing around with each other so much. Even he felt like joining in, when all he had wanted to do before was hide in his room and barely do anything. He knew that the pressure was suddenly off Jongki, that he could relax a little and have someone to vent at who could understand about being in the position of responsibility.

JustHi were stupid for getting rid of Bradley, Kiyeol decided there and then, in fact as far as he was concerned they were a really stupid company to work for. They didn’t care about their mental stability or the effect of loosing such an important person to them had caused the group as a whole, they just wanted to make as much money as possible. Mentally he sighed, wondering why he had ever auditioned for this company in the first place but the thought was completely pushed from his mind when he suddenly found himself falling backwards as the door he was leaning on opened.

“Whoa! Kiyeol, what are you doing down there, you crazy duck?” Bradley said at the same time as Jongki half yelled, “What on earth are you lot up to now?”

Aware vaguely that Jongki had moved off, presumably to see the others, Kiyeol blinked from his odd position on the floor as he tried to get his bearings a little before half-scrabbling upright to throw his arms around the other’s neck and just hold on to him tightly. Bradley wasted no time in returning the hug, shifting from his half hunkered down position to a kneeling one so he could hold the youngster a whole lot better. He could feel the little body shaking with uncontrolled sobs and didn’t need to even begin to question just how much heartbreak the maknae had gone through in these last few months. “Shh, my little ducky,” he said gently, feeling his heart break as he realised just how much he had missed the boy and placed a kiss to his temple, “It’s okay. It’s going to be all right.”

“Don’t go, don’t leave us again Mama Bear, please” Kiyeol said, not caring that he was being a baby and crying, “Please, just stay here. Don’t go.”

If his heart hadn’t already been broken in two by this situation, Kiyeol had quite literally just smashed it into a million pieces and boy did the eldest want to break down into tears again. “Kiyeol,” he said quietly, shifting the other back so that he would have to look him in the face, “You know that can’t happen. Believe me, if it could then I would be back here in a heartbeat, you know that.”

“It’s not fair,” the youngest member of Bright Sound sounded completely broken and lost.

“Life’s not fair, Kiyeol,” Bradley desperately tried to think of a way to explain everything to the youngster without making him cry anymore even though it was inevitable despite him gently brushing away as many of the ones that were falling down his face at this moment in time, “But don’t ever think that there wasn’t a day that went by that I didn’t think about you all and worry about you. I didn’t abandon you or leave you and if I could have gotten a message through to you...oh please, stop crying Kiyeol,” he was pulled back into a hug, “You’re going to set me off again, you crazy ducky.” Bradley held tightly onto the other, placing a kiss to the side of his head once again and gently rocked the other back and forth.

Jongki meanwhile had attempted to break up the tickle fest that was going on but, in an act of revenge for scaring the living daylights out of him, Jin had grabbed the leader and gotten him right in the middle of it. The scene was comical with a series of splayed limbs and a few shirts opened or lifted up but somehow in this situation it just turned completely into a laughter fest. It was usually extremely hard to tickle Jongki; he was the least ticklish of them all but when you had five boys tickling you at the same time it was impossible not to react. He tried to tell them off whilst laughing but it just didn’t work in the slightest. He could barely breath, let alone speak properly.

Saki watched the scene a little bemused as she didn’t really fancy the idea of getting involved in such a big brawl with six young men who were all so much bigger than her and instead looked around to see if there was something else she could do. Her mismatched eyes landed on her Daddy and she toddled over to him, a little surprised to find him holding onto about the only person in the room whom she hadn’t been introduced to properly. “What Daddy doing?” she asked sweetly, aware that the other boy was snuffling away.

Bradley looked up and smiled sweetly at his daughter, glad to see her so happy rather than miserable, “Just helping little Kiyeol out here, sweetheart. Hey, ducky, stop snuffling for a second and say hello.”

Curiously Kiyeol peeped out from the protective hold of Mama Bear and blinked at the little girl who had turned up with the other. She was adorably cute in her little red checker dress and dainty white socks and her hair worn long as it had fallen out of the pigtails which it had been before the rain had hit. She reminded him of those cute little koromiko dolls.

Saki stared at the young looking boy who was currently bundled up in her Daddy’s arms and tilted her head to the side. He reminded her of a scared little kitten, clinging to something warm as it stared out onto the world for the first time after opening its eyes. He had blond hair and lovely brown eyes that were filled with tears. They silently stared at each other for a few seconds, almost as if trying to work one another out in the grand scheme of things and the girl smiled gently towards the boy, “Hello.”

“Hello,” Kiyeol echoed back to her timidly, not entirely sure how he should respond to the little girl.

Silently Bradley rolled his eyes, “Sakura Eun, this is Jang Kiyeol. Kiyeol this is Sakura,” a semi-literal bolt of lightning hit the red haired man’s thought pattern, “your new baby sister.”

Kiyeol raised his head up in surprise towards Bradley, he had heard the others mention the fact that the girl was his daughter obviously but getting the confirmation was strange. “What?” he stammered, not fully comprehending what the other had actually said to him in the slightest.

Grinning, Bradley kissed him on his head for the third time in as many minutes and shifted a little, “Sakura’s your baby sister as of now.”

“But why?” Kiyeol felt just more confused

Saki however clicked, “He’s my big brother, Daddy? Aww yay!” Crawling up to the other, she hugged him, “I’ve always wanted a proper big brother.”

“If it’s okay with you Kiyeol,” Bradley said gently, “I want to adopt you as my own. I know that it’s not really possible and all that, because I just can’t let you go anymore...”

It was no surprise that Kiyeol was crying again, and Bradley wrapped his arms around him tightly in a hug like no other. He wished it was possible for him to actually adopt the other because he would adore having him as a son but this would do more than enough for now. “Why Oppa Yelo cry? Is he hurt?” Saki clambered up onto her Daddy’s knee and joined in the embrace.

No, Saki, he’s just immensely happy right now,” Bradley said gently, shifting Kiyeol so that he could push the girl onto him, “Why don’t you give your Oppa a great big hug and a kiss? I’m sure that’ll make him happy.” Silently he shook his head, wondering just why Saki had troubles with pronouncing names that started with K but guessed it was something that she would eventually grow out of. Plus Yelo sounded highly cute in his head.

“Mama Bear, have you broken Kiyeol or something?” Sunwoo asked, clearly the tickle fun had stopped but there was a sudden flash of a camera as both Kyung and Sang snapped the adorably cute scene.

Wincing, Bradley glared, “If that ends up being uploaded anywhere...”

“No way, do you think I would do that?” both replied in the exact same time to which they received a group reply of, “Sang would.”

There was a moments silence and then everyone burst into laughter. This situation felt right, it felt normal and all of them were secretly thinking, “Why can’t we go back to life like this?”

~~

Aww likkle Yelo getting adopted by Mama Bear ^^ One of my favourite bits personally.

Right, new sections to be written next. Mainly slumber party and movie watching, any suggestion for a Disney/U rated movie for them to be watching since I’m kinda thinking Aristocats or 101 Dalamation or possibly Monsters Inc at the moment.
