Your POV

You can practically hear your heart beat as you stared at your reflection in the mirror, in a complete masquerade get-up. The perfect mask, perfect dress, perfect heels. You’re proud of yourself as you have carefully selected and searched high and low for these items, to have the perfect masquerade look. You have to admit, you’re nervous and excited at the same time for this party. What’s unique about this party is the fact that it’s completely anonymous. Friends do not come together, everyone comes on their own and meet complete strangers who can also turn out to be their friends, but they won’t find out till the end of the night.

As you arrive at the place, everything feels so mysterious as people glance at you through their masks and you have no idea who’s who in the party. You decided to walk to the refreshment table to get a drink and that’s when a guy in a black mask approaches you. “Join me for a dance?” he asks in a deep voice. “Sure” you said as you place your hand in his. Both of you took the dance floor and danced to the rhythm. That is when you noticed there was another pair besides the both of you that became the center of attention at the dance floor. The guy kept staring at you as he dances and somehow you can’t look away. You feel so drawn into him and both of you looked intensely into each other’s eyes as the both of you kept dancing with your own partners. You also noticed how well he dances.

Somehow in the middle of the song, you guys switched partners and this mysterious attractive guy is now holding your hand and your waist. “Care to dance, my lady?” his voice was so y you feel even more drawn into him. “I don’t see why not”, you replied in a soft but audible voice as you looked intensely into his eyes. Both of you danced song after song while holding up your gazes the entire time. Everyone had already formed a circle around the both of you and even your previous partner had stopped dancing but the both of you hadn’t noticed as it felt as if there’s only the two of you in this place.

“I won’t lie, I’m dying to find out who you are. But at the same time, all this mystery is so alluring” he whispers into your ear as you guys continued dancing. “Same to you, silver mask” you whispered back into his ear. He definitely stood out with his silver mask as many of the guys here wore black or white masks.

As midnight strike, both of you stopped dancing and it was the time to reveal the person beneath the mask. We both put our hand on each other’s mask and I was about to remove his when he said “wait, there’s something I have to do before we reveal ourselves.” He inched closer towards your face and you too move closer towards his. It felt so amazing. His lips on yours. His lips was so supple and he was an amazing kisser. It was so passionate that it felt like it lasted forever. As both your lips parted, breathlessly he said “don’t open your eyes yet. Let’s count to three and open our masks. One, two..”. Both of you removed each other’s masks and opened your eyes. You gasped as you saw this extremely attractive, cute and y man in front of you. It was Taemin.

“So this is what mystery girl looks like” he gently put his hand on your cheek and smiles. “And this is how Taemin looks like” you smiled back at him. “Wanna try that again?” he tilt his head and looked at you. Before you could say anything, his lips came in contact with yours. It felt even more amazing than before if that’s even possible. Nothing in the world mattered when he was kissing you.
