When faced with an obstacle, our normal reaction is to avoid it or maybe overcome it. In the beginning, we may not know exactly what to do. Everything may seem to be slowed down and without purpose. We may be scared, confused, appalled, and even angry. In my case, I was all of them.

 

Do you hear my voice?

The whisper in your ear

The breath tickling you

Do you wonder how I am?

Whether I am suffering

Or simply carrying on without a care

Do you hear me crying?

Taking your hand in mine

Holding it to my lips as

My heart weeps with

Emotions that I have never felt. That are

Foreign to my body and to my brittle mind

Do you miss me as much as my soul aches and misses you?
