Finally for the first time in 2013 Shinee finally get a long deserving day off. All of Shinee members are chilling out while watching tv in their dorm’s living room. Well they are not exactly watching the tv but rather watching live gag show of JongKey couple arguing who should control the tv.

“Yah no one wants to watch your stupid show about makeup!” said Jonghyun

“Well I don’t see anyone complaining except for you stupid Dino face.” replied Key

“Just so you know every girl in Korea. Wait let me rephrase that every girl in the WORLD will do anything just to have a glimpse of this face.” said Jonghyun

“Oh please. They will puke out all the things they have eaten for a year when they see your face in the morning since you really are an expert in drawing the world’s map on your pillow when you are sleeping. Besides they have better choice than choosing you.” smirk Key

“Oh yeah?! Like who?” replied Jonghyun

“Like yours truly” said Key

“Yes you are right. You definitely a better choice for any gay guy out there.” smirked Jonghyun

“Yah Shorty!” shouted Key

“Sissy!” shouted Jonghyun

Just when the show was getting interested the front door suddenly flew wide open revealing their manager with a couple of bags which contain the gifts from their fans.

“Kids where are you? It’s Christmas time. Come on don’t be shy you can pick anything you want.” shouted manager hyung as soon as he manage to close the door.

“What a great timing!” hissed Minho

With that both Jonghyun and Key stop their childish argument and ran to their manager and immediately took the bag out of the manager’s hand and place it in front of the other member.

“If I didn’t know better I might think that these two are actually the magnae of the group.” said manager hyung while walking to the living room

“You should see their argument a while ago.” said Taemin

“Really! Tell me what happened?” replied manager hyung

“There is really nothing to tell you about. They were arguing about who should have the remote and just when they started to insult each other you show up and ruin everything like always.” said Onew

“Yah Lee Jinki! How dare you say that straight to my face? Just so you know I have feeling too.”

“I know that hyung. I know that you have feelings when you cried from an hour when you find out that Taemin have been watching all this while. Boo I have failed as your father. How could you Taeminie? Huaah.” Said Onew while imitate manager hyung which lead to a tickling attack from manager and Taemin.

Their moment suddenly interrupted by another Jonghyun and Key argument.

“Get your hand off my present!” shouted Key

“Your present? It’s mine! Can’t you see it is wrap with a wrapper of my favorite color.” replied Jonghyun

“Ok then I better take my leave.” said manager hyung

“Hyung you can’t leave us alone to solve this.” said Taemin

“You guys have been living with each other more than 5 years so you must know how to solve this.”

“But hyung remember last time the same thing happen. I have to go to the hospital when they decided throw all the present at me just because I tried to solve the problem.” said Onew

“You are their leader so time to lead them. Anyeong.” said manager before shutting the door

“Guys stop it. It has a card on it. I’m sure it has the name of the owner on it.” said Minho as soon as manager hyung left

“I can’t read it. The handwriting is so messy.” replied Jonghyun

“That because you are too dumb to even read.” said Key with earn a glare from Jonghyun

“Come on let me read it for you. Give me the card.” replied Onew

As soon as Onew saw the writing on the card his face immediately went pale.

“Hyung what wrong?” asked Minho

“It’s from her.” replied Onew

With that being said all Shinee member froze up in their respective place.

“Her? It can’t be. Hyung you didn’t meant Kim Hana right.” asked Taemin after gaining enough courage to speak up.

“Yes, it’s from Hana. I would recognize her hand writing in a glimpse.” said Onew while caressing the handwriting on the card.

*Flashback

“Hana can you write it properly? If you keep on writing like this no one will be able to read your handwriting.” said 15  years old Jinki

“Why oppa? I like it like this. No one in Korea has the same writing as mine. It’s unique and beautiful like me.” replied Hana

“Beautiful? Oh please there are a lot more beautiful girls in Korea compare to you.”

“Beauty lies on the eyes of beholder. So to me both my handwriting and myself is beautiful.” said Hana

“Whatever. Come on Hana just please try your best to improve your handwriting. Otherwise it will be hard for teachers to understand what you wrote when marking your paper.”

“No way. I am sticking onto this for the rest of my life so that you can easily recognized my handwriting” insisted Hana

*End of flashback

“So don’t open it hyung. Just leave it or better yet let’s throw it.”  said Key

“No let’s read the card and open the present.” insisted Onew

“But hyung..” Protested Jonghyun

“It’s been five years Jjong, I’m fine now. Come on let’s do it together.” said Onew

Immediately after those words came out of Onew’s mouth all of them knew that it is pointless to kept arguing with their leader.

Onew took out the card and after scanning on the card design for a while he begin to open the card and start to read out loud the writing on it.

Dear Lee Jinki,

Anyeong Oppa. It’s been a while since we last met each other. I think it was exactly 5 years ago since we last saw each other face to face. First, I like to wish happy 5th anniversary to you and Shinee members. I have seen how much you have grown over these past 5 years as Shinee member. You don’t know how proud I am whenever I saw you shine as Shinee leader. Congratulation on making your dream came true. You really deserve it. I know how hard you work in order to achieve your dream. So on this very special day, I would like to present you a gift. It is nothing much really I just returning it to the right owner. Sorry I took so long to return it. It is just that I need a little something just to remember you by. So oppa as a final step in letting go of my past, I’m returning the thing that bond us together back into your hands. Without another second to spare, Onew immediately tear off the wrapper. As soon as he opens it he saw a very familiar snake soft toy with a necklace wrap around it. An instant a flashback of all their memories came into his mind.

 

*Flashback

“Oppa can I please have Bobo?” said the 8 years old Hana while pointing out at Jinki’s favorite soft toy

“No. Not in a million years. Bobo is mine. No one can have it except me.” replied 9 years old Jinki

“Come on oppa. Please for me. I really want it.” said Hana while giving her puppy eyes to Jinki.

“Hana, when I say no the answer is still no. No matter what you do!” insisted Jinki

“Jinki oppa is so mean! I hate you!” cried Hana

“Hana mianhea. Please stop crying. Fine I give it to you. Just please stop crying.” said Jinki while trying to calm down Hana

“Really oppa.” said Hana while wiping her tears away

“Yup. Just promise me you will return it when we stop being friends. Arrasso.” replied Jinki

“Arrasso. Thanks oppa. You are the best!” giving out the biggest smile Jinki had ever see on her.

*End of flashback

“Hey it’s bobo. Hello bobo. Daddy miss you so much.” said Onew while hugging the soft toy. This made all s to look at him weirdly.

“Hyung I think you drop this.” said Key while handing the necklace to Onew.

At the presence of the necklace again Jinki was lost in his old memories.

*Flashback

“Oppa where are we going and why did you blindfolded my eyes?” said now a beautiful 16 years old Hana

“You trust me right? So just follow my lead. For a few moment let me be your eyes.” replied 17 years old Jinki

“Aren’t we supposed to be at your birthday party right now and aren’t I am the one should prepare a surprise event for you not the other way around?”

“You really don’t know how to keep quite do you? Stop asking so many questions cause I won’t be answering any of them.”

“Oppa come on. Please stop all this. I’m kind of scared right now.”

“Don’t be. I’m here with you. I won’t ever leave you.”

“Promise oppa?”

“I promise. I won’t leave you no matter what happen. Now let me take off the blindfold.” With that Jinki remove the blindfold on her eyes and immediately went on his knee with a necklace in his hand.

“Today is a very special day for me. On this same day 17 years ago I was able to breathe on this world for the first time. Being able to have the opportunity to be born in this world is the second happiest moment in my life. Meeting you is the happiest moment in my life. I still remember when we first meet. We were just little kids back then. Being the shy guy I am I just hide myself behind my mom while you immediately came up to me and took my hand to introduce yourself. Your courage on that day has led us to this day. You are the best friend that I always wanted and something more. We grew up, play, get into trouble and study together. No matter what we do we always together. I guess during those times being together, something in my heart change. Suddenly being your best friend is something that I hate and I want desperately to throw it away. Not seeing you, your smile and hearing your voice for a day really hard for me. When I see you smiling or even talking to another guys it really burn my heart even though it was just you being your friendly self. I guess what I am trying to say is that I Lee Jinki has falling in love with my best friend. I don’t know when it happen but all I know is that no one in this world I would rather be with except for you Hana. So, will you Kim Hana be Lee Jinki’s one and only girlfriend for the rest of my life?” said Jinki as soon as their eyes meet.

“Oppa. You don’t know how long I have waited for you to say those words.” said Hana with tears falling from her eyes.

“So is that a yes?” asked Jinki still in his knee

“A million percent yes. Now get off your knees and give me a hug you pabo.” said Hana

“Thank you Hana. I promise I will never hurt or leave you for anything.” said Jinki while hugging Hana.

“Oppa you are crushing me.”

“Sorry honey. Now let get this on you shall we?” said Jinki while putting the necklace on Hana.

“It’s beautiful oppa. Thank you so much.” said Hana while looking at the necklace on her neck.

“Not as beautiful as you.”

“Uuww you’re cheeseball. Get away from me.” said Hana while running away from Jinki

Jinki immediately run after Hana. In less than a minute Jinki manage to grab Hana which cause Hana to almost felt onto the ground but it was safe by Jinki quick reaction.

“Now stop running away with my heart Hana.”

“Your heart?”

“This necklace represents my heart. So please stay close to me and if you ever think about leaving me please don’t ever take my heart with you.” said Jinki pointing at the necklace.

“I won’t leave you oppa. If ever we were separated I promise to return your heart before I go.”  With that they shared their first kiss.

*End of flashback

“Hello there. You finally decide to return to me.” said Onew which left all the members dumbfounded

“Hyung..” said Minho

“Why am I suddenly feels sleepy? I guess I’m getting old so time for my nap. I will be in my room if you need me.” said Onew making his leave to his room while carrying Hana’s gift with him.

As soon as Onew close his room door, all the members gathered to form a small circle in the middle of their living room

“What the hell just happen?” asked Jonghyun

“You just made hyung’s old wound came back alive.” replied Key

“Why is it my fault? You were the one who started it.”  said Jonghyun

“Am not!”

“Are too!

“Am not!”

“Are too!”

“Guys stop fighting. We have better things to do then watch both of you fight. Now what should we do? Hyung looks really sad and affected by the gift.” said Taemin

“Tae right. One of you should talk to him.” said Minho while looking at Key and Jonghyun

“One of us? Why us?” said the Jongkey couple

“It’s partially your fault. If you guys didn’t fight for the gift maybe hyung will never found it.” said Minho

“Minho hyung right. Now pali kai iba ibu.” said Taemin making both of them to play rock scissors paper in order who will be the lucky one to talk to their hyung.

“Assa I won. Take that loser.” said Key while jumping up and down.

Before Jonghyun able to start winning all s manage to push Jonghyun in front of Onew’s room. Jonghyun took a deep breath before knocking on the door.

“Hyung it’s me, Jonghyun. Can I come in?”

Almost a minute of waiting for Onew to answer the door, finally Jonghyun decided to just turn the knob and enter his leader room. Out of all the room in the dorm, Onew has the simplest room but surprisingly it has the warmest and most welcoming feels to it just like the owner. Due to that, sometime you can see the other member sleeping in his room when Onew was not around. As soon as Jonghyun enter the room he saw his leader lying on his bed wrap up with his blanket pretending to sleep. Jonghyun took a sit at the edge of Onew’s bed before calling him.

“Jinki hyung.” called Jonghyun

“Hyung, I know you are not sleeping. Come on hyung please talk to me.” pleaded Jonghyun while trying to prey the blanket of Onew

This has made Onew sit right up. When Jonghyun saw his hyung face he immediately wrap his arms around Onew.

“Shh. It’s ok hyung. Everything will be ok.” said Jonghyun while trying to calm down his hyung

“It’s hurt Jjong. It really hurt. I didn’t meant to leave her.” said Onew between his cry

“I know hyung.”

“It’s been 5 years but I still can’t forget about her. Her smile, her laugh, her voice and her scent I still remember it.”

*Flashback

“I’m sorry Hana. I don’t think it is working out for us.” said now 19 years old Jinki

“Oppa what are you saying? Are you braking up with me?” asked a teary Hana

“Yes, let’s just go our own separate way.”

“But why oppa? Did I do something wrong?”

“Come on Hana. Can’t you see how distance we were in these past few months? We were too busy doing our own thing. We barely contact each other since at the end of the day we always too tired to even talk.”

“If that the reason, I can do better. I can come to your practice so that we at least able to see each other face. I will do anything oppa. Just please don’t leave me.” plead Hana

“No Hana I have made my decision. Tomorrow will be my debut. After tomorrow I will be even busier than now. So even we are together we can’t be like other couple.”

“I’m willing to do anything just so we are together. I don’t care if we barely contact each other or can never go on date together. All I care is for you to always be mine Jinki Oppa.”

“That’s the thing. Starting tomorrow the Lee Jinki that you know will be dead instead Onew of Shinee’s leader will be born.”

“I don’t care. Don’t you get it? To me you are still Lee Jinki that I meet 11 years ago, the one that I fall in love with.”

“Stop it Hana. Let’s just brake up. Move on with our own life and pray that we will never cross path again.”

“Oppa why are you doing this to me? Remember your promise that you will always be by my side and will always protect me.”

“I guess promise are made to be broken.” With that Jinki immediately left leaving a crying soul alone in the park that was once a witness of two souls becomes one in the name of love and now it has become a witness of two souls separated.

*End of Flashback

“I didn’t mean to hurt her Jjong. I was forced to make a choice. It’s between my dream or my love.” sobbed Onew

“I know hyung but can I know why did you made that choice when you obviously love her so much.” asked Jonghyun making the leader to break their hug and look straight into his eyes.

“I thought that when I finally made my dream came true I can come back for her. Just then when I open up her gift I realize that I can never get what I’ve let go.”

“Do you ever regret making the decision back then? Choosing us over her.” asked Jonghyun.

“I never regret anything in my life. All of my past made me to become who I am today. If not for my decision back then I will never found another family beside my own. It is just that I wish that I could make a better decision that will not end up with people getting hurt.”

“Hyung.”

“I saw her Jjong.” said Onew while looking into Jonghyun’s eyes

“Huh? I don’t get it hyung.”

“I saw her at our 5^th anniversary fan meet. I saw her in the audience. When my eyes meet her that night, I suddenly feel the edge to run to her, hold her and never let go but those feeling disappear when I saw her smile. The smile that I miss so much. The smile that I know won’t come out unless she is genuinely happy. She is happy without me in her life.” said Onew letting out a sigh

“Hyung perhaps she was just happy to see you again after 5 years.” replied Jonghyun

“That’s what I thought at first. However when I saw these two today, it finally hit me that she wants nothing to do with me anymore.” said Onew while holding Hana’s present

“Come on hyung. I don’t think Hana meant it that way.”

“Do you know what these two represent in our relationship? This snake over here represents our friendship and this necklace represents my heart Jjong. My heart that was no longer mine anymore since the day I propose to her. For her to return these two that bring such meaning only means one thing Jjong, she want to forget her past. Most important is that she wants to forget about me.”

“Hyung please stop saying nonsenses. Why not we try and search for Hana? We can try and explain everything to her.” suggest Jonghyun

“I’m afraid it’s too little too late. Jjong, can you please leave me alone? I just want to be alone.” said Onew while covering his body with his blanket

“But hyung..” protested Jonghyun

“I will be ok someday but for now let me just cry my eyes out. Maybe there are some true in what Tae always say ‘If we want to gain something we need to let go of something that equally as important as it is.’ So Jjong can you please leave me alone. I want to be alone now with bobo and my heart.” insist Onew

“Sure hyung. If you need me you can just call me.” With that Jonghyun disappear into the living room

I will be ok someday. For now let me drown in my tears thinking about all of our memories together. Kim Hana I love you now and forever.
