Morning Dew

Description

This loneliness never really disappeared. It only grew each day.

This loneliness never really went away. I knew that and feared

For what tomorrow may bring. Will I ever really escape?

Horror come the winter, horror of the spring

For when winter comes, I am cold and numb. And when it is spring

I feel and I yearn for your touch.

Foreword

Sweet. That was how their mornings were. Warm. Comfortable. Safe.

There was almost nothing that could tear them apart from each other on mornings. One of them loved sleep too much and was not much of a morning person. The other, ever so punctual and an early riser made sure to stlip away from the covers and make the both of them breakfast so they don't starve.

He almost regretted pulling away from him for the reason that the warmth of the younger's embrace was enough to make him forget of ever doing anything other than sinking into that familiar feeling of being loved. Yes, loved. That was how he felt those mornings when he would open his eyes and as if he couldn't believe it he would turn around to gaze at his lover's peaceful sleeping face, trace his facial features with the pad of his fingers like he did mornings before this one.

As he cooked breakfast, he hummed. The smell of fresh breakfast warming the atmosphere of the large condominium. It was modern and seeing someone like him padding towards the kitchen barefoot and wearing only his boxers and a large shirt, the sight was almost uncanny.

Jongin had commented that he needed a dash of Kyungsoo to his lonely condominium. While Jongin was shades of black and white,  Kyungsoo was hues of the rainbow. A little color in the other's monochromatic world.

Slightly awkwardly -- he wasn't much of a dancer, really -- swayed his hips a little to the tune that he had just made out of the blue as he flipped the eggs. He heard the bedroom door open and he couldn't help but smile, knowing perfectly well what the other will do once he reached him.

In just a few seconds, he felt firm arms wrap around his waist and a kiss on his cheek. A lazy 'good morning' slipped past the other's plump lips against his cheek and he smiled because this is the morning he woke up to everyday.

Everyday.
