Coffee's Guilt and Hyung's Decision
Hyung's Yeobo
Author’s POV
The police escorted Junggi out of the warehouse. The others who were only there to watch and beat Jiyong didn’t get arrested since Jiyong stated that it was of utmost importance that Junggi was put back in jail.
The others didn’t really need to be put in jail because Minzy testified that they had nothing to do with anything. Although she, herself, said that she should be in jail as well.
Dara was traumatized but she was confronted by Seunghyun. Perhaps she didn’t couldn’t look anyone in the eye because Junggi had exposed half of her body.
Jiyong still blames himself though everyone else is trying to tell him otherwise.
As Jiyong was about to be brought to the police station to stand witness, he saw Dara looking at him. The moment their eyes met, he felt this painful hammer pounding onto his heart. He felt helpless and he knew he will always blame himself.
Maybe that was the sign to start thinking of his life.
Or maybe that was the sign to stay away from Dara.
Forever.
Days went by and Jiyong didn’t dare go to the rooftop. He couldn’t face Dara yet. He couldn’t possibly look at her in the eyes and tell her that it will be alright. Because he still blames himself.
Seungri: hyung… how long are you planning to stay here? I mean… seriously… Dara-noona would certainly need someone with her at this crucial moment.
Jiyong: (looks away)
Daesung: c’mon Seungri… give it up. He won’t go up there anymore.
Seungri: why not? Hyung… you know noona needs you right now.
Taeyang: let it go Seungri. It won’t do you any good. Besides… he’ll go see her eventually… but… probably not now.
Jiyong looked at the sky. The same sky he would often look at with Dara. He knew he was supposed to protect her but what did he do? He only brought danger in her life. Was it something he could overlook?
No…
He could never overlook something like that. Because he knows that Dara will never be safe by his side.
Just as he was thinking, his phone rang. He didn’t want to answer anyone but he knew it was his brother calling based on the ringtone.
Jiyong: yoboseyo?
Seunghyun: can we talk?
Jiyong: not now…
Seunghyun: no… I need to talk to you.
Jiyong: hyung…
Seunghyun: Jiyong… until when do you think you should be like that? I need to talk to you about your life. And about our mother.
Jiyong: mother? I don’t have one.
Seunghyun: then I need to talk to you about her. I want to show you something. Meet me at (hospital name) hospital at the end of your classes. I’ll be there waiting.
And the call ended. Jiyong gave out a sigh.
He didn’t really want to talk about his experience. Nor did he want to talk about Dara.
He felt guilty.
He felt so helpless that time that he couldn’t let it go.
He should have protected her but…
But what happened instead?
He brought Dara near trouble.
And it was something he would’ve never wanted.
Especially when he knew how much Dara meant to him.
And he didn’t want to talk about their so called mother. For all he knows they already brai
