Chapter 14

ICE CREAM

Sohyun felt like she doesn’t like to look for cookies anymore. She roamed around the mall. And then she saw an ice cream stand. Ahh….maybe an ice cream won’t hurt. She’ll just exercise tomorrow to burn the calorie. When she was about to buy, she saw Kevin! The kid, standing by the ice cream stand.

“Hey. Kid…” said Sohyun

“Noona!!!!” Kevin was so happy to see Sohyun that he hugged Sohyun’s legs and started to cry.

“Mommy is missing. I keep looking but Mommy is lost.” Said Kevin

“And then I got hungry…and I like ice cream…but I have no money.” Said Kevin crying

Sohyun felt like there’s a twitch in her heart. She tapped Kevin’s head.

“If I buy you ice cream will you already stop crying?” asked Sohyun

Kevin nodded.

“Ok. Which one do you like?” asked Sohyun trying to sound uncaring. Kevin pointed on the chocolate ice cream with cone.

“2 of that please.” Said Sohyun

Sohyun found a bench and led Kevin there. They sat together eating ice cream.

“I’ll call for your Mommy and Oppa. They are here looking for you.” Said Sohyun

“Daddy Ajussi?” asked Kevin excitedly

“Daddy?” asked Sohyun… Wow…this really had gone to a totally different level

Sohyun made a call to let Minho know Kevin is with her. After giving the instructions where they are, Sohyun closed the call.

“You like Oppa? I mean ‘Daddy Ajussi?’” asked Sohyun

“Yes! Daddy Ajussi is kind. He takes care of me and Mommy.” Said Kevin

“What do you like about him the most?” asked Sohyun

“Hmm…He plays with me…” said Kevin

Wow…he is really a child…he really is just an ordinary child…

Minho called out from afar. Sulli was already running towards Kevin and hugged him tight.

“Kevin…Thank God you’re here…and you’re ok. Promise Mommy you won’t leave my side like that anymore ok?” said Sulli

Kevin nodded “Sorry Mommy.” Sulli just hugged Kevin tighter.

Minho felt really relieved. His heart is still beating fast of worry. He knelt beside Sulli and Kevin and hugged the 2.

Sohyun didn’t know why…but she felt tears falling from her eyes at the sight of the 3. His Oppa was serious in saying he committed himself in making sure Kevin will grow up well. And this woman is really dedicated to the child.

Minho looked up at Sohyun

“Thank you.” Said Minho

Sulli also looked up and through Sulli’s tear streaked face she also mumbled her thanks to Sohyun.

Sohyun didn’t know what to feel. She didn’t like anything to do with these people. But this moment… didn’t feel bad…it didn’t feel bad at all…

Minho pulled Sohyun with closer and for a moment, it felt like she belongs…to the family…

Sohyun did a lot of pondering while she is in her room. It seems she doesn’t hate the child anymore…even the Mistress’ sister is not hateful anymore.

Sohyun heard a knock on her door.

“Come in” said Sohyun

She’s surprised to see Krystal come in.

“Unnie.” Greeted Sohyun

Krystal sat beside Sohyun.

“I hope you’re not too busy…I just felt that it’s been so long since we last talked and I wanted to catch up with you.” Said Krystal

“Ahh…that’s right…it’s ok. I was just about to sleep. So you just came at the right time.” Said Sohyun

Krystal just smiled. And then sigh.

“Is there a problem Unnie?” asked Sohyun

“You know that Oppa and I got back together, right?” asked Krystal

“Yes…I heard…and it seems Jess Unnie didn’t take it nicely.” Said Sohyun

“Yeah…that’s why I’m here.” said Krystal

“Don’t worry Unnie. Jess Unnie’s anger can’t stay forever.” Said Sohyun
