Hundreds of years before he was born, his people used their powers to hunt the Ardouran to "wipe clean" the earth they lived on. They believed that creatures, such as humans or Ardouran, that could feel such strong emotions as love could also feel hatred. Therefore to prevent voilence and war, these emotional creatures must be killed. After many decandes however, the Ardouran began to fight back. The Glacian government, guided by the Royals, then decided to surround each district with 5 meter barbed wire fences to keep the Ardouran away. The small amount of humans that survived the "cleansing" period were enslaved by the Royals. By the time Kibum is born into tes world, only 50 humans are alive. The Ardouran were able to keep a high population, as they too have powers. They live outside of the fences in the area that the Glacians call the "uninhabitable zone". Now, Kibum lives in a world where the 2 largest populations hate each other and in love is the most danger he could be.
