Happy birthday my girl Just4_YS <3

Being in a long distance relationship was not easy.

Sehun knew it in the first place when he was at the airport, asked the Chinese for his skype ID, accepted the fact that they wouldn’t spend much time together even though just on internet. Not to mention the time zone difference made him want to put his head through the wall so many times he couldn’t be able to keep track any more.

To speak the truth, it’s just Sehun’s issue, not Luhan’s, or at least that what he felt. The younger one was a freelance “party” planner (yep, he’s still against the word “wedding”) which meant he only worked whenever there was an order whereas the other was an officer who worked almost 12 hours a day, including lunch break, 5 days a week. Although the order was here and there all the time throughout a year due to his fame, Sehun found himself pretty much unoccupied and became so eager when he had a chance to talk to his boyfriend that sometimes he thought he scared the latter.

“It’s because you guys are new to it. You’ll get over after a month.” Jongin, his best friend a.k.a his partner confirmed him experientially but it’s been three months already and he didn’t see any better. However, it’s really just a small problem in comparison with the main matter he had to face the whole time.

Let’s state it like this first:

Being in a long distance relationship with Luhan .

FYI the key word here was “with Luhan”.

Sehun didn’t know until not long ago and it’s too late for him to get out of this mess because he had fallen for the Chinese so hard, he didn’t think he was capable to do anything against that boy’s will.

“I miss you too Sehun ah, but I have to go with Mr. Wu to his golf practice now. We’ll talk later, okay?” He found out about the new definition of “talk later” was wishing the Chinese a good night as he saw Luhan yawn out loud and struggle himself in front of the webcam for not falling asleep.

“I don’t want to do the cam~~~~. I look horrible right now Sehun ah.” and he realized Luhan was the most stubborn person he’d ever met. No sugar coat word could lure him into changing his mind as if he was immune from it.

“Please Sehun ah… I really want to hear your voice. Pleaseeee….” and he found himself singing an old Korean song that his mother used to sing for him when he was a child, unconditionally.

Yes, Luhan was a real expert in making him doing each of little weird thing that never came across his mind until it was spit out of the older one’s mouth. Every time he wanted to protest for his own sake, the latter would use his magically angelic whisper “Sehun ah….” and Sehun swore his heart was melt into that sweetness.

Then again, none of those was worse than the fact that he was turned into a vegetarian day by day. No chat, no cam… nothing would involve to lust in their conversation. “I’m shy… and it’s too weird to do things like that when you’re not around.” was the explanation he got in response. Sometimes, Sehun wondered if his boyfriend was actually twenty-freaking-seven-year-old human being.

“You’re so whipped.” Jongin had teased with his detestable laugh when they were working on a same wedding. The tan skin boy was in charge of the technical part such as music, band, ect and if it hadn’t been for the fact of his friend being the wedding reception’s MC that evening, Sehun would have punched him a real hard one in the face.

But that was just the past, literally.

Because Luhan was flying all the way here to see him next weekend.

Because his waiting was finally paid back.

Because he was no longer whipped.

That conversation started quite normal when he already settled down on his bed while Luhan began to take his lunch break. He got surprised as the Chinese almost jumped into the camera with a wide grin plastered on his face

“Sehun ah….I got news for you.”

He unconsciously smiled in reply, an instinctive reaction whenever his boyfriend was in good mood.

“You look excited, hon. It must be a good one then.”

“Of course it issss….” the other added many extra “s” in his last word, made him sound exactly like an adorable twelve-year-old child “Guess who is gonna knock on your door next weekend!”

In a split of second, Sehun thought he was fainted from the overload blissfulness. It took him a moment to get a hold on himself but it still didn’t help him to keep his voice as calm as usual

“Really? You? You’re not kidding right? Because it would be the most horrible joke if….”

“No, I’m serious.” Luhan cut off his sentence, trying to tighten his facial muscle to have a grave look but the sparkle in his eyes failed him “Actually I’ll be there for a family event and then sneak out to spend the weekend at your place.”

The younger laughed at the word “sneak out” along with a wink from the latter. He was about to tease Luhan a bit when he saw his boyfriend was distracted from the camera and another voice could be heard on his side.

“Babe, are you there?”

Sehun hesitantly called out, wondered who had rushed into the office without even asking in advance because he did see a small smile on Luhan’s lips when he turned around and stopped the conversation without warning. It’s not until he began to speak up again did the Chinese come back, not forget to bring his visitor as well.

“Sorry hon, Yixing comes to pick me up for lunch.”

“Who’s Yixing?”

Sehun cocked his head aside, digging deep into his poor brain since this name was somehow familiar and he definitely had heard it somewhere before. His heart almost jumped out when he saw a head poked into the camera frame, practically pressed Luhan’s cheek away and a dimple on his face couldn’t be any less obvious

“Hi, I’m Yixing, Xiao Lu’s friend and also his love’s mastermind...”

“Yah!!!” he caught Luhan exclaimed on the back but that Yixing guy seemed not to flinch a bit, continued his introduction

“I think it’s my responsibility to warn you that he will give you some surprise this time. You should be prepared yourself and...”

“Okay, that’s enough… You’re such a pain in the sometimes Yixing ah.”

“Ouch…bye Se…ouch…”

Sehun had no time to react before he saw that boy with a deep dimple being pulled out of his sight by no one but his precious Luhan by the ear and when he finally comprehended all of those things, he couldn’t help but letting out an amused laugh to welcome the older male back.

“Your friend is funny.”

He commented, earning a grunting mumble from the other side.

“No, he’s weird. I’m sorry but I still have to go with him. Sleep tight sweetie! Dream of me okay.”

“Uhm, I will. Have fun!”

“Ooohh, love birds….” was all he heard from Yixing before Luhan disconnected the call. Sehun turned off his laptop and lied down, starring at the ceiling for a while thinking about what he would do with Luhan when the latter was there next weekend. The thinking made him smiled contentedly in his drowsiness and quickly sent him to the dreaming land.

**********

It must be counted as his lucky week because he got two orders in hand but none of those overlapped with this weekend, when Luhan would give him a visit.

This first one that he was working on right now was actually from one of his friends who had unexpected personal issue and since he could communicate well with Chinese people, that guy passed this job for him. It’s quite an advantage of him to know Chinese because not many wedding planner in US capable of speaking Mandarin. Even though they’re living another country far away from their homeland, his client wanted to carry out a traditional ceremony and being experienced from Kris’s wedding, Sehun could say he’s pretty confident in giving them the simplest but most elegant wedding as they had asked for.

“So the rumor says your princess will be here tomorrow.”

Jongin stated out loud, taking a huge gulp of beer while wandering around the main hall of the hotel. They were almost done with the preparation and since he was just in charge of the entertainment of the reception, Jongin found it very pleased to mess around with his friend.

Still focused on the paper in his hand at the table nearby, Sehun replied with his typical low voice, hand checked each item listed there so that he didn’t miss anything.

“As far as I concern, I’m the one who told you that.” then he shifted his eyes up to throw a sideway look to his partner, grimaced a bit “And stop calling him princess. It annoys the out of me, dude.”

The tan skin boy ignored the last command, sat down next to his friend with an evil smirk on his face

“What is your plan though?” he nudged Sehun on the shoulder, leaned in too much close for the younger’s liking, curiosity could easily sensed through his husky voice “I bet you won’t let him out of bed the whole weekend.”

Pushing his face away, Sehun faked a cough to cover his embarrassment, quickly dropped off the conversation

“It’s none of your business.”

It’s not like he hadn’t thought about it. In fact that was the only thing in his mind the whole week and he actually asked Luhan for opinion. Although the latter kept talking about some typically famous place, the deep blushes on Luhan’s face when he joked how about them playing their interesting game for two told him that the elder boy would not be against that idea either.

“Wow, look like someone had a naughty plan already.” Jongin’s teasing voice snapped his back to reality “Do you know how to do it? You want my advice?”

That was the last thing on the earth Sehun wanted to discuss with Jongin because his best friend somehow had weird taste when it came to normal and by weird, he meant in way.

Groaned out in frustration, he finally turned aside to face the other and literally pleading with his best expression

“Can you go bother someone else? The ceremony is in like two hours now and I still have tons to do.”

The tan skin boy sulkily pouted like someone had hurt his dignity but Sehun knew it’s just because he was bored out of his mind, sank into the chair with his arms folded across

“This wedding .”

“Hey, you’re talking about my party.”

“Yeah, I know” Jongin nonchalantly replied, shrugged his shoulder and made a face “But still, it !”

That earned a kick on his ankle and a sharp response from Sehun, who by the way was almost pissed off as he couldn’t concentrate on his job with his friend’s talking nonsense beside him.

“Yah, don’t blame on my party just because you couldn’t find anyone interesting enough to flirt with. And please, stop hitting on a random chick. It’s not healthy anyway.”

“Wooo, look who’s talking” the latter let out a small chuckle, a hint of ridicule lingered at the top of his tongue “Mr. I-need-to-get-laid-so-bad.”

Sehun never wished to tape someone’s mouth this much before. Sometimes he didn’t believe they could stay friend for such a long time, not to mention about the period of time they had shared an apartment together.

Seeing the uneasiness all over the younger’s face, Jongin guessed it’s about time to cut his joke out. He always knew where the thin line of endurance was and stopped before he crossed over.

“You know what, if you have some sense of humor like me, maybe the old picky Chinese lady would not rearrange the flower at the reception area and the aisle.”

Those words sounded like a thunder above Sehun’s head. He sprang up from his chair, eye brows met in stress and irritation

“She what?”

“Oh, you didn’t know?” Jongin was startled a bit at his sudden move “I overheard the waitresses gossiping on the way here. I thought you were already informed about that change.”

“Urghh….” Sehun tore his hair out in exasperation, his fist was clenched into a white knuckle “I told her it was my party and no one was allowed to touch my stuffs. Was she deaf or what? And you, why didn’t you tell me sooner instead of all the bull you were blabbering before?”

The latter didn’t have time to protest for himself since Sehun stomped out of the hall to downstairs, deciding to have a serious confrontation with that who dared to stick her nose into his business. It’s not a surprise to the tan skin boy though. For many years living, working and being friend with him, there was one lesson that he had learnt pretty well. Sehun was a maniac when it came to perfection.

********

It’s safe to say the Sehun had a best reward after a long week waiting patiently and working hard. The weekend was like a wonderful dream that he never wanted to wake up.

Luhan knocked on his door at super early in Saturday morning, literally jumped upon his body and gave him the warmest hello he had ever received. They had a little talk (well, mostly the Chinese chirped about random places he wanted to see while the younger just sat there, looking at him lovingly and all he did was nodding to whatever the other said), then went out for breakfast at Sehun’s favorite café.

Luhan seemed to have an abnormal interest in the neighborhood and when he started asking more about the traffic and public transportation, Sehun couldn’t help arching his questioning look.

“Why are you so curious about things you’ll never do anyway?”

His boyfriend just simply giggled, calmly took a sip on his latte and made an innocent face. It might sound so wrong but he had that natural naïve appearance even with an evil smirk tugged at the corner of his lips.

“Oh aren’t I?” he darted out his tongue to whip off the cream left on his upper pink lip ordinarily (or on purpose, Sehun didn’t know because his eyes were too focused on that damn white foam) “Well, living in New York seems really fun. I might get used to it easily, with your little help, of course.”

It took Sehun exactly seven seconds to utter the first word and if there was no one around there, he would definitely flip the table and choke Luhan with his tight hug came right after vigorous shaking in disbelief.

“Huh? Re..really?” he almost knocked off the cup on the table when he reached out to grab the elder male’s hand, his expression was like a lost puppy finally found its way home “How…I mean when…and how…Oh great, now I lost my capability to state a simple sentence.”

Looking his lover being ridiculously cute like that across the table, Luhan couldn’t suppress an ear-to-ear grin, gave back a small squeeze on his hand

“The company is going to open a new branch here. Kris asked me if I wanted to relocate and I agreed without even thinking, not that I regret though.”

That was how the news of Luhan moving in with him in the next two months was officially acknowledged and Sehun totally forgot about all the plans he made for two of them in two short days, including a lunch date with Jongin on Sunday which led to the dramatic scene of the tan skin boy calling him and faking a cry since he thought his best buddy had been gently killed in bed.

***********

“Don’t go.”

Sehun grabbed Luhan’s wrist and pulled him fall back to the mattress. His flight was in less than four hours yet he was still in Sehun’s big sweater and his boxers, clothes lying about in disorder on the floor, struggling to get out of his boyfriend tight embrace.

They hadn’t gone out for the last 24 hours and half of that time Luhan couldn’t let his body up from the bed. Sehun turned to be a very different person. He was aggressive yet smooth, manly yet childish and somehow those opposites made him more attractive. The Chinese boy couldn’t help but admit that he loved the way the younger took care of him and kinda be addicted to it.

However, whether liked or not, he still had a flight to get in, a job in China to deal with before came back here and the fact that Sehun kept digging his face into the crook of his neck didn’t help the matters at all.

“It’s not like we’re not going to see each other Sehun ah.” he let out a small sigh, feeling himself not want to go either “I’ll be here before you know it.”

“I know” the latter tightened the hug if that’s any possible, the mumble ghosted on his skin and sent electric down to his spine “I just… don’t want to…”

They stayed like that for a few seconds before Luhan stirred to break the grip, turned around so that now he was the one who buried his face under the younger’s chin. He was sure he’s going to miss this scent crazily and these hands, these lips, this body… He’s sooo gonna miss Oh Sehun to the extent that might drive him insane.

“Neither do I…”

“Then don’t go. I’ll call Kris to give you some days off. He still owes me some favors.”

Luhan giggled. He still didn’t know much about Kris and Sehun’s story back then but from what he heard, they were kind of involving a hate & love friendship. The odd thing was none of them wanted to either admit it or break to the point they couldn’t stand to be lack of the other’s affection.

But that definitely was not the issue now. Luhan was older so he’s going to do what an older one would do, being the tough mature one.

“No, it doesn’t work because you’ll become all greedy again and won’t let me go.”

“But….”

“No but.” he pulled himself out to face the latter, tried to get his voice as sharp as he could “Mr. Wu will not be pleased if I don’t show up at his office tomorrow for his golf practice. Besides you still have another wedding to plan.”

“I’ll pass it to one of my friends if you….WAIT, another wedding?” Sehun wrinkled his forehead, looking at his boyfriend questioningly “How do you know about my work?”

It was exactly the time when you had to do some aegyo like blinking your eyes innocently, pouting your lips cutely, cooking up a simple denial like “I don’t know, just a lucky guess”, then quickly distracted the other with your best wheedling voice “Ahhhh, I’ll miss you so much you have no idea how hard it is for me to leave Sehun ah”. But the most important thing was did not make eyes contact with him when you lied because you might be trembling if you did.

Just like Luhan was.

“I… You told me before, remember?”

Wrong move

“No, I don’t”

Sehun firmly declared and Luhan knew that.

Sehun rarely talked about his job. It’s not like he didn’t want to share his life’s passion with Luhan. It’s just they didn’t spend much time together and he preferred to have his boyfriend chirping nonstop about a new intern in his department than telling story about him wandering around the Chinese market an entire day just to find a perfect paper lantern for decoration. Not to mention that Luhan already once had chance to know how he would be when it came to work, so the baby-face boy just sometimes asked “How’s your work?” here and there to get the same response, more like a joke to him, “It’s okay. I let Jongin do the whole thing.”

So to sum up, one Luhan was lying, and two, there was no way for him to cover up because Sehun was drilling a hole on his face right now, waiting for an explanation.

“Okay, please don’t get mad.” he held up his hands, slightly rubbed on the younger’s chest, praying this would comfort him a little bit “I heard you yelling at the receptionist for letting someone rearrange the flowers an hour before the ceremony yesterday.”

“Wait, what?” Sehun jerked back his head, words seemed to be choked at his throat “You were there? At David’s wedding?”

Luhan nodded in reply, eyes shifted from the second button of the latter’s shirt to his lover

“He’s my cousin. I told you I was here for a family event right? It’s his wedding.”

“Why didn’t you tell me?”

“My family made me to keep it as a secret. It’s a condition. They wanted to see the real person of you.”

Luhan whined, trying point out he was also a victim in the incident as well but that just earned another shriek from Sehun in shock

“What? A condition? Your family? They know about me?”

Let out a long breath, Luhan slowly sat up, pulled down the sweater so it could cover half of his milky thigh. He didn’t want to take the other by surprise like this but sooner or later, he knew he had to go through his family’s issue for the very first time.

“Please don’t freak out.” he mumbled, exchanged a pleading eyes contact with the Korean male “My family, especially my mother, is kind of overenthusiastic when it comes to my love life. After tired from hooking me up with countless girls, they finally accept me as who I am. But since then they show too much concern on who I’m going out with.”

“And you told them about us?” Sehun butted in, seemed to calm down a bit, propped up himself on his elbow and placed one of his hands on the older boy’s knee.

Luhan shivered at the sudden touch, shook his head slightly

“It’s Yixing who blurted out about me going to move here. He’s also the one who took my mother’s side against me, that . They said they wouldn’t meddle in my private life if I let they know you by their way.”

“Okay, so your family was stalking me for…..”

“Four days.” he finished the latter’s sentence “They came here first and asked around about you.”

“Oh…”

Sehun was silent for a while, mentally recalled the last few days to see if he had done anything wrong. After all, they were his boyfriend’s family, first impression was considered as the most important one and from what he heard, he was kind of crazy when doing his job. Everything seemed alright, carried on just like how he had planned. Except for a small incident….

“Oh my God” he exclaimed, sprung up with anxiety all over his face “Please tell me that lady was not your mother.”

The Chinese bit on his lower lips to suppress a small chuckle but Sehun took it as a yes, groaned out in frustration

“It is? Arghhhh, I’m so screwed!! Why didn’t you tell me before?”

If it’s not that he had a flight in more than three hours, Luhan would definitely play along with this game, even though he’s aware of the consequence he might get after this. It’s so much entertained to see the younger sulking, totally bought the joke and he couldn’t help but held up his stomach, laughing out loud in enjoyment.

“Sorry, I’m just kidding.” he said between the breath “It’s just Aunt Lily. Don’t worry, they love you. My mom even said you looked manlier when you’re angry.”

Sehun’s eyes opened wide in disbelief and it took him quite some seconds to comprehend the whole situation but he knew what to do for revenge almost immediately after that

“You….I can’t believe you….” he grinded his teeth, jumped on the latter causing both of them lost their balance, crashed their bodies on the soft mattress with him all over Luhan “You’re soooo deserved to get punished.”

The fire in Sehun’s eyes told Luhan that the other was not joking and the big grin on his lips quickly turned into a thin line, knowing what’s coming next.

 “What….Ahhhh…No….it’s late Se…Ahh, stop…no…”

But there’s no way for him to escape. Because Sehun knew well how Luhan hated to be tickled.

-----------------

“Babe?”

“Hmm?”

“You know, since our relationship was upgraded to another level….

“Uh huh?”

“Er....can we do the chat now?”

“………..”

“Whyyyy?”

“………..”

“But it’s not like…we already…Urghhhhh…Fine, let’s just talk then T____T”

”^_^”
