“Is it just me or you are trying to keep your distance with me right now?” He asked.

My mind told me that it wasn’t true. I almost said that I was not. But then I felt twinges of conscience and I started pondering, did I really do that?

“Why would I do that? Of course I’m not.” I stated confidently.

“Prove it then, let’s go out with me today. As friends I mean.” He quickly added before I had some weird ideas.

“Okay.” I said without hesitation this time.

He then smiled victoriously at me and I felt like I just fell into his trap. Oh well, whatever. It wouldn’t be that bad to go with him, right?

But seriously, why me?
