Long ago I had a question I had always wondered about. 

Which was when how if an elephant dies, it leaves behind its tusk; and a tiger its skin. 

But what does a man leave. 

What does a human leave?

Long before, I had thought that what a man would leave in his presence was his belongings. 

His things, his children, if he had any, his family. 

And then, before, he would leave heartbreak. 

A man would leave heartbreak, sadness in his path. 

He would leave people crying because of his death, and I thought that to be true.

But now, after I had moved on, I realized that  a man left behind his name. 

He left behind the impressions people got from him. 

He left behind memories; be it good or bad, for people to remember him by. 

He leaves his name, and an impressiom in our memories. 

He leaves behind his name and impressions in our memories, as a way to remember him by.

Because in our memories, there is no time, and people will remain how we first met them.

Because in memories, no man truly dies. 

In our memories and hearts, people will live on, forever.
