Foreword

Since some of you has asked me about the world from my Mystical Series I'm going to explain the characters and the mythology behind the story. I hope this post will help you get a better insight of the story since the one shots may be kind of confusing sometimes. Firstly I want to explain that I come from a catholic family and I live in a catholic-ish country where we study religion till we are 17/18 years so we have the angelic/Christian mythology kind of assumed. That's why I don't really explain anything on my fics about the characters. In fact, I don't even tell who the archangels are or which archangel is each one of them. I'm sorry if any of you have become confused by the terminology and the names, I will try my best to explain it now. I have to make something clear first, I'm making up some things and I'm using some real facts, so here I'm going to explain MY mythology, so I hope none comes here saying that this o that is wrong, cause it will be probably something I have made up :)

We have the world divided in 3 parts: Heaven, where God and the angels/archangels live, Earth, where humans live and the war is taking place, and Hell, where Lucifer and the fallen angels and Demons live. At first only Heaven existed, God created the angels and, after some times, the 4 archangels were born from the union between 2 angels, union that not always ends up with a new archangel being engendered. That's how Yoseob, Lucifer, Doojoon and Dongwoon were born and they quickly became the leaders of the angels. But God wasn't happy with the assumed perfection of his creation, so he decided to create a race full of flaws but way more challenging. He created the Earth, the imperfect perfect place for his imperfect creatures. What he didn't foresee was that one of his most loved archangels, Lucifer, would be corrupted by the jealousy, causing him to go against his Father and siblings. Lucifer thought that it was unfair the way their Father had neglected them because of those new creatures so he decided to leave Heaven and form his own family with the angels that wanted to follow him. Those angels changed their white, pure wings for those strong, dark wings and they were called fallen angels, even though they had descended willingly to Hell. Lucifer made himself the owner of that inhospitable land where only the demons dare to live and created his new family. What he didn't dare to tell to anyone was that, in fact, he didn't go down willingly, he was thrown out from Heaven by God and he wasn't going to accept his fate so easily. He started to train his own Army of Lucifer with the help of Mephisto, his right hand, and Lilith, a witch, and he started a war against the angels and his own Father just to regain the right to go back to Heaven.

His position is the right hand of God. Background: He is one of the archangels, the highest ranked angels. He’s the one who announces God’s commands to the rest of the angels, as well as the angel in who God has all his trust. He was the first angel born from 2 angels, making him the oldest archangel of the three.

Relationships: He’s in a love relationship with Yoseob until he takes his position as general of the Army. His best friend and right hand is Junhyung. Background: He was the best warrior inside the Army of God so he was promoted to be the general. He chose the community over his relationship with Yoseob and now he’s known for being the most heartless leader the Heaven has even seen.

He has some kind of relationship with Kikwang and Hyunseung. Background: He’s the younger of the three archangels and the most peaceful of them all. He’s the messenger of God and his work is to bring to the humans and to their enemies God’s messages. He’s the most neutral angel in Heaven and he’s the only one who has contact with fallen angels without fighting against them.

Background: He’s the troublemaker son of Mephisto, the soul collector. He is always getting into troubles with the angels but his brother always manages to get him out. He is going to be his father’s heir but for now he is in charge of the Army of Lucifer.

He’s some kind of relationship with Junhyung Background: He’s the older son of Mephisto, but he really doesn’t understand the reasons behind the war. He has a good relationship with Dongwoon since Hyunseung is always trying to fix the problems his brother Kikwang causes and he's the only one willing to help him. He met Junhyung one day while walking by a market and they feel kind of connected with each other since then.

He hates Kikwang but feels a connection with his brother Hyunseung. Background: He has been Doojoon’s subordinate since forever and he’s one of the best warriors in the Army of God. He spends most of his time on Earth fighting against every dark soul he’s able to find, but he’s reckless and doesn’t really stick to the rules of their war. He met Hyunseung one day while coming back from a fight in which he was injured and feels kind of attached to the other, even though he’s an angel and the other is a fallen angel.
