It is so random and cheesy...yeah but, a fluffy one shot this time, with not so much angst, written in the middle of revision for the finals LOL

This is actually a gift for @Dropsim, who's birthday was on the last week of April. happy birthday! :D I am sorry I couldn't make it on your birthday day dansang, but here it is, my late gift. I hope you enjoy it ^___^

Everyone is wishing him happy birthday. He smiles and nods and says polite thanks. He is not happy, though. It is his birthday, but s seem to forget about it. Yoochun, who is in LA, didn’t call him yet. It is late night there, and Jaejoong just met him this morning; he said nothing. Junsu can’t get how s forgot about his birthday while it is causing a buzz of “Xiah Day” everywhere in the world. Maybe they just don’t care that much, he though…maybe, they are not that close after all; maybe it has always been a JY instead of JYJ…Junsu sighs as he remembers how s forgot about him many times while he was just sitting beside…he loves s, yes! But he hates it when they engage so much in their talks that they don’t notice him at all…

Hyunjae, Junsu’s best friend, has called him earlier, saying that he and some friends want to party together since it is Junsu’s day. Junsu agreed, happy that, at least, his old friends didn’t forget about him too…he decides to go there and have fun, maybe that will help him forget about what is saddening him now…

Jaejoong lifts his head from the many papers he had on his desk and looks at his laptop screen. He is so tired; the amount of work he has been exposed to these days is just huge to be handled by a human being. It is the middle of December already; Christmas will come soon. He can already notice the decorations around Seoul. He can get a vacation and spend some time with his friends and family. He nods his head agreeing with his thoughts…but, he has the impression that he should do something today. He doesn’t know what it is, though. He has that strange feeling he had forgot about something really important, but he can’t really remember what it is. He has been too drown into work that he feels out of the world… “the 15^th of December?...what do I have that day??”. He checks his calendar one more time, and he notices he has no activities on that special day…weird. He puts his calendar aside and decides to surf the net while drinking some coffee, maybe it will help him relax a bit…his coffee in hand, Jaejoong leans on his couch with his laptop on his laps. He surfs random websites…boring. However, his eyes widen and he nearly spill of his coffee on the electronic device in front of him…today is Junsu’s birthday and he had forgotten about it! Jaejoong curses himself as many times as he can; how can he forget such date! He looks at his clock, it is already 5pm…what can he do?! He wonders around for some time; then an idea clicks into his mind. He grabs his phone and calls Junsu’s manager,

“Jaejoong-ah!” the other exclaims at the other side of the line

“Hyung, tell me please, what is Junsu planning tonight?”

“Oh…he told me that Hyunjae called him for a party since it is his birthday, aren’t you going too?”

“uh…ung…no, I actually, wanted to make him a surprise; when is the party?”

“8 pm”

“Ok, hyung, what about the rest of night? Did he tell you he will go to his parents home or something?”

“No, he said he will visit them tomorrow since Junho will arrive from Japan and they can celebrate together at that time”

“Ok, thank you hyung, don’t tell him anything about my call, ok?”

“fine, I hope you will spend good time”

“thanks”

Jaejoong bits his lips…he should think of something, and as faster as he can, something to not let that unforgivable mistake show…he calls Coffee Cojjee (and he is so thankful he has a coffee now) and asks the responsible to make anything possible to have a delicious cake ready from now until 8pm, impossible mission…well, he’d better try anything possible…then he grabs his jacket and car keys to prepare for the other things, forgetting about the unfinished work on his desk…

Junsu sits back on the couch, not enjoying the party at all…it lacks very important people to him, Junho, Yoochun, and Jaejoong…without even mentioning that it lacks Yunho and Changmin too. He breathes out looking at the cake in front of him. He only took a bite and feels already full. Hyunjae joins him and drops an arm around his shoulder,

“What is it Junsu-ya?! It is supposed to be your party, and you don’t look happy at all”

Junsu gives his friend the best smile he can make at that moment, “it is not that, hyung. I like it, but I am a bit tired. These weeks have been hard”

“Junsu-ya, for how many years have I known you already?”

Junsu blinks in confusion and his friend breaths out, “You’re lying…are you sad because some very important people couldn’t make it to your birthday?”

Junsu smiles, “well…the emptiness they’ve left is actually accentuated by my tired state”

“But you know they couldn’t make it Junsu. Don’t be selfish. Junho is in Japan, Yoochun is in LA and you said Jaejoong is so busy. I am sure they would have come if they could. And then, Yoochun and Junho both called you, and I am sure Jaejoong will do so as soon as he can. Cheer up! It is not like if they’ve forgotten about you”

Yes, Yoochun had called him right before the party. He even sent a gift that Yoonhwan brought with him. Juno also called. He will be here tomorrow, but Jaejoong seems to have forgotten. Only that, makes Junsu feel a huge twist in his heart…He excuses himself from the party at 9:30pm, not feeling he can stay any longer in the noisy place. He drives straight home, wanting to land his body on the bed and just sleep…he wanders since when did Jaejoong become so important that him forgetting about his birthday drops all his barriers and makes him the saddest person on Earth…he himself doesn’t know much about the answer…

Jaejoong sits on the kitchen chair, tired from the continuous running he had been through. He curses himself and his weak memory again and again…thinking about it, he has been forgetting a lot of things concerning …he even forgets his presence beside him sometimes. He curses himself again; he should have made Junsu feel so sad by his selfish behavior. Jaejoong thinks again, going back and forth between his memories, and he can’t help but feel ashamed. He was too absorbed by his own problems that he made his donsangs look after him all the time. Yoochun and Junsu were always trying to cheer his up and keep him from going too deep into his depression. Then, after getting better, he just forgot about their existence. The difference is that Yoochun is too talky and always pulls him into the most random discussions to lighten up his mood, while Junsu is not that outgoing, which made him so distant from the two others…

“Stupid Jaejoong, just what the hell have you been doing with your life lately?!!” he sighs.

Junsu opens his apartment door and gets in lazily. He throws his keys and jacket on the nearest table before going straight to his kitchen for a glass of water. He turns on the light and stays stunned for some time; there is a chocolate cake in the middle of the table, with happy birthday written on it, there are also a lot of other sweeties and drinks, and the whole table is decorated. He picks up the card put nicely on the table napkin, it says:

“My Junsu-ya,  

Happy, joyful, blisseful birthday.

With much love, Jaejoong”

Junsu’s lips curl in a restful smile. He feels like all the sadness he was carrying around just disappeared. A pair of strong arms envelops him from behind, making him shiver,

“Happy birthday” the elder says softly, pulling Junsu closer and landing a kiss on his cheek.

Junsu chuckles, he turns around to face his hyung, “I thought you forgot…”

“I didn’t…but I got selfish and want my own time with you, instead of being one of the many friends in your party”

“umm…is that so?”

Jaejoong hugs his danseng again, “I am sorry for making you feel sad”

Junsu nods against his hyung’s shoulder, “it is okay. I am happy you’re here. I am also happy you got selfish. It is been a while since we’ve had some time together”

“Forgive me Junsu-ya…for everything. Hyung is really sorry, for every moment I made you feel so distant and lonely, for thinking only about my problems and being such a burden, for every moment I said or did something you didn’t like, for every time I got drunk and yelled at you…hyung is really sorry. I promise you; that won’t happen ever again” Jaejoong lets go of a breathe he didn’t notice he was fighting back as he was apologizing. He really feels so bad…Junsu withdraws from the hug to look straight at his eyes,

“Why are you saying such sad things in my birthday?”

“Because I feel so guilty Junsu-ya”

“It is okay…we all have hard times in our lives. It happens…you don’t have to feel guilty about it anymore. I’ve forgiven you and washed away all your sins…all gone!” Junsu made a sign, smiling sweetly, making Jaejoong kiss his cheeks and hug him so tightly,

“Hyung…”

“I love you…more much than you can ever imagine Junsu-ya…though all my mistakes with you, I love you so much, believe me”

“I do believe you. I love you too…hyung…just don’t hug me that tight…you’ll end up breaking my bones”

Jaejoong starts laughing uncontrollably; he also feels like dropping a burden off his shoulders. Yoochun joins them later on the phone to sing happy birthday together. He whines about his part of the cake and laughs so hard at how Jaeoong is being so cheesy lovey-dovey at the moment. Junsu feels like his appetite just got restored. He didn’t eat anything proper for the whole day, but now he feels like eating the whole cake alone. Jaejoong laughs at him as he eats two parts of the cake successively, making a mess of himself,

“You were so hungry! Didn’t you eat before?” he feels a flinch of guilt thinking it may be because of him actually

“I did…but the cake is just too delicious” Just mumbles his mouth still busy with the food inside it. Jaejoong brings a tissue and starts wiping away the chocolate from Junsu’s face,

“You are such a baby” he chuckles, causing Junsu to sulk as hard as he can. Jaejoong can’t stop laughing at the sulking face now.

The elder convinced Junsu to go take a shower while he cleans everything up. After finishing, he joins Junsu, that was drying his hair, and hugs him from behind,

“Hyung…enough already”

Jaejoong pouts, “why???? You’re being a meanie to me”

Junsu chuckles and turns around, “hyung…guess who’s the baby now?”

“You!!” Jaejoong pouts harder. Junsu hugs him this time, “I am sorry hyungie. You can hug me as long as you want”

Jaejoong envlops him on the spot, “Yay!! You approved it! Now never whine about me hugging you too much”

“Oh my God…how did I put myself into such trouble” Junsu giggles jokingly

Jaejoong withdraws first this time, “I still didn’t give you your gift”

“what gift, hyung?”

Jaejoong takes a little package from his pocket and opens it. He takes Junsu’s hand and starts putting an agented bracelet around his wrist,

“When you feel sad or lonely, or when I do something that I should be slapped for, though I will make sure not to from now on, I want you to look at this little gift and remember that you’re not alone and that I love you so much” he closes it and smiles at the youngest man.

Junsu touches the bracelet on his wrist and smiles, “Thank you, hyungie. I’ll take good care of it”

They hug again, enjoying the warmth of each other, of their relationship and of that moment.

That night, Jaejoong decides to spend the night with his neighbor, catching up on all what they missed. They fall asleep deeply together, in each other arms, forgetting about everything that made them anxious…at least for that night.
