"Cecily, hurry up! Your plane will take off without you if you don't get your moving!" Cecily's father hollers up the stairs while she quickly brushes through her long, wavy brown hair.

"Yeah, I'm hurrying!" Cecily throws the brush into her suitcase and checks herself quickly in the large mirror. "Alright, Cecily, you got this. Everything will turn out fine." She snatches up her suitcase and her large bag. When she gets to the doorway, she takes one last glance at her room that she won't be seeing for a while.

Cecily gets down the stairs and sees her mother and step father waiting patiently. Cecily's step father is from South Korea and both of her birth parents are American, but she enjoys the Korean culture. Her step father happens to have a brother that lives in a mansion in Seoul, South Korea.

"What took you so long, Cecily? We've been waiting for fifteen minutes; you need to learn to be faster." Cecily's mother says while grabbing the suitcase that was already downstairs. Her step father opens the front door and takes Cecily's luggage out to the car, putting them in the trunk. Cecily and her mom follow her step dad out to the car and get in; her step dad driving, her mom in the passenger side, and Cecily in the back.

"So are you excited sweetie?" Her mother asks happily while the car rumbles to a start and is on its way.

"Yeah! Of course. I've been waiting so long for this. I just can't believe you guys are letting me go by myself."  Cecily puts her hair back in a ponytail, some strands caressing her pale face.

"Well you are eighteen now, I think you can handle it. It's time for you to have an adventure of your adult years." Her mom smiles back at her.

"Your uncle will give you a good time. I'm sure you will be satisfied with his house if I know how you girls work." Her dad looks back at Cecily in the rearview mirror and lets out a chuckle.

"I'm not that kind of girl," Cecily smiles back with a perfect mouth, "although there's nothing wrong with a nice house. As long as I get a room to myself, it should be all good." Everyone laughs at her comment. Her gaze then goes to the outside views on the way to the airport, things she won't see again for a while. She has been studying Korean for a while now, but can't help being a little nervous.

At last they reach the airport where she will be leaving America to go to Seoul, South Korea. Her step dad grabs her suitcases and Cecily grabs her own bag, then all three make their way inside the airport. Once they get inside,  the goodbyes are said.

"Be safe, and here's your ticket." Her mom smiles and hugs her after handing Cecily her ticket.

"Alright, well your suitcases are taken care of. So, your uncle will provide for you for the first few months, but then you're expected to do things on your own for the rest of the year. I'm sure if something goes wrong he'll happily cover for you. Also, if you ever want to leave early you can contact me or your mother and we will figure things out."  Her step dad grins at her.

"Alright, sounds good. Thanks so much!" Cecily hugs him and he pats her back. "Well I better get going now. I love you guys." She kisses them both on the cheek. They both say their 'I love you's and Cecily makes off for her departure. Once she gets on the plane and buckles up...she falls asleep.

She wakes up and stretches. Cecily's in South Korea now. Her heart pounds harder in her chest and she stands up and leaves the plane as quickly as possible with her bag. She is supposed to meet her uncle in the lobby. She finds a short chubby man in his late forties holding up a sign that reads in sloppy written English:

'Cecily Rogers'

"Uncle Kwan!" Cecily runs over to him and gives him a big hug. He gives out a hearty laugh and hugs her back, putting down the sign.

"Cecily! Hello! You look so big! How have you been?" Uncle Kwan throws the sign in a recycling bin right next to them and grips her shoulders. It's been about ten years since they last saw each other.

"Yeah, it's been a while. I've been good, how about you?" Cecily grins sweetly at her uncle who is a couple inches shorter than her.

"Oh, I've been pretty well with some difficulties here and there, but that's life." They hug once more and can't get rid of the happiness from the meeting. "Well, sorry to make this sudden, but are you about ready to go kiddo?" Cecily nods and looks at her cell phone for the time: 4:56 P.M. 

"Although I need to grab my suitcases."

"No need. I already got someone to grab them for you." Uncle Kwan gestures to Cecily for her to follow him.

"Wait, do you have servants or something?..." Cecily tries to keep up with his fast pace.

"Sort of...not exactly. They kind of are to me, but they technically aren't servants." Her uncle leads them out of the airport building.

"What do you mean sort of?" Cecily urges.

" Oh, you will see soon. Just don't stress. Our ride will be here shortly." Uncle Kwan puts his hands together in front of him and waits patiently. Cecily her head slightly.

Sort of servants?...
