Kibum slid into the passenger seat down in the car.  His steps had echoed loudly in the empty parking garage in the basement of their building in Gangnam as they headed towards his manager’s car. 

His heart had shuddered harshly in his chest when he’d heard their manager say “car accident.”

How many times have I told you how ty of a driver you are! Kibum mentally chastised the singer.  And really, out of the SHINee members with driver’s licenses, Jonghyun was the last one that he would want behind the wheel.  Minho he would trust, the man’s calm and steady nature leant well to the pressures of driving, especially in a city like Seoul.  But Jonghyun – he was too flightly, it was too difficult for him to stop and focus on any one thing that did not involve music.  He just was not a ‘sit down and focus’ kind of guy.

Their manager was a decent enough driver, Kibum noticed idly as he weaved through traffic trying to get to the accident site on Dongho Bridge.  Jonghyun had asked for their manager to come out there and talk with the police in case there was anything he was missing.

Kibum glanced down at his phone at the time he saw displayed there.  It was waaaayyyy to early in the morning for this.  But something caught his eye just as the screen dimmed and went black.  Quickly waking the screen again he saw it.  Just below the time: ‘Monday, 2013.04.01.’

April first…April Fools’ Day. 

Kibum’s chest hollowed as he suddenly forced all of the air in his lungs hard out of his nose.  It’s a prank!  The bastard is pulling a prank!  Starting off the day early!

The rapper was livid.  Jonghyun knew that he would easily freak everyone out and he’d laugh his off.
