Lie Down With Me
Description
Hysteria: an uncontrollable outburst of emotion or fear. People who are "hysterical" often lose self-control due to an overwhelming fear that may be caused by events in one's past.
☆
You sat down on one of the chairs, tried to control your laughter and failed miserably – you obviously looked like a psycho or someone who needed some medical attention.
But you couldn’t help yourself, your uncontrollable laughter was a bit of a curse – it started when you were 7 years old; a bully verbally assaulted you and you burst into a fit of uncontrollable giggles when all you wanted to do was run in the opposite direction.
Foreword
You hiss out when your hip makes contact with the concrete ground and just then, you feel like bursting into a fit of nasty sobs. But of course your habit gets in the way and you start hysterically laughing.
“What are you looking at?” You snap at the people who stop walking to stare at you – like you’re some sort of national geographic special – Jesus Christ. Why am I such a freak?
You control your hysterical laughter and stare down at the dirty ground, you look up when your feel eyes on you and frown at the man staring down at you, an umbrella shielding him from the showers. “What?”
☆
“Wow,” You finally said, wiping your nose – wiping the snot that had started dripping from your nostrils after your little scene of hysterical laughter. You cleaned up your nose and placed the tissue on your boss’ table – former boss. You stared at your former boss’ ugly blue tie, unable to look him in the eye. “Why?” You swallowed thickly.
“You do a great job,” You watched as he his lips and straightened his posture, “Heck; you do a better job than most women who have been here for years –”
You interrupted him impatiently, “Then why am I being fired?!” You demanded, almost angry. What right did he have to shower you with useless compliments after firing you? Was that supposed to make you feel better or what? Point was, you felt like and the compliments were doubling the awful feeling.
“First,” He paused, “There is your impatience,”
☆
"Wow, I'm actually a really miserable person."
