Something Like Dust That Makes Up My World

Description

NOTE: Sorry it's not an update ;;, I've only fixed a couple of things. This was former called A Cruel Life, now it's changed to Something Like Dust That Makes Up My World. I don't want to promise anything, so I'll come back when I have some spare time and add a chapter. Sorry to upset you guys; also, if you want to know why I have changed the title, scroll down until to the bottom of the page. An explanation was briefly explained at the foreword, to give you an idea, why it was titled Something Like Dust That Makes Up My World. And I also want to add that this whole fic is under construction. This will take some time before I can really get back to writing. I'm trying to make this a little more descriptive than before. My grammar is not that great, so if you are a grammar nazi, I apologize :p. Yeah, a big LOL.

Lizzy was a rich kid. Her real name is Park Sooyoung. She isn't the same with the other kids around her age. She thinks differently from her peers. She is mature for her age, because she can have everything that she wants, by simply asking her parents. Unfortunately, one day, all of her fortune had come to an end. Both of her guardians met their unevitable tragic end - an accident - and there she loss both of her love ones. Her one and only relative didn't take her in her care, which was saddening, and that left her alone in life. The richest that she should be inheriting after her parents death, was taken away by her auntie; she flew overseas without leaving any of her whereabouts. No options were left for the poor young Sooyoung. Nothing was left for her - Aunt, a secret gold digger, left without a trace. Her only relative that should act as her second family, was not there for her anymore. The young Park was put in the care of an orphange. The reason is because: she has no relative to run into in the midst of an urgent emergency, her auntie completely abandoned her and ran away with the money, leaving her not even a cent. She was kept in the care of an orphanage until when she was eight. Ever since, a girl around her age, started visiting her in the orphanage. The young girl's name is Nana or has the full name of Im Jin Ah. She's half-Korean and half-Canadian. She has this dark-blonde hair, her eyes have the colours of grey, and Lizzy finds it beautiful, especially her facial feature. Both of them quickly became friends. Nana's parents soon adopted her. Nana is a lone child of the Im couple. They could see the desire in Nana's eyes of wanting to have a sister. Nana's parents granted her unasked wish. Her parents would do anything just to give their daughter's happiness. Lizzy's adoptation was kept in secret, so they could protect her from any harm from the outside world. Lizzy was very grateful to Nana's parents and especially to her.  From that day on, the day Lizzy was adopted, they did everything together. The raven girl began to have feelings that she couldn't comprehend. A feeling that made her contented by being with her sister. A feeling that was unexplainable and inevitable. A feeling that felt tingly. A feeling that she thought was out of her reach. She tried to ignore these swirling emotions in her. Lizzy then started dating the hottest guy in their school. She was hoping that the feeling she was having, would suddenly subside through time.

Characters

Lizzy, Nana, Myungsoo, Krystal, After School, Infinite, and more in the upcoming chapters.

Prologue

Lizzy's maid fetch her at her school that was situated in Gangnam district in the city of Seoul. A smile was written all over her face, as she waved to her friends after the class ended. A black car waited for her near to her school. The maid opened the door at the back seat for her. She recognized her little master coming on her way to them. She couldn't stop curling the ends of her lips only to see her cute little master.

"Taejumma!" Lizzy called out her maid's nickname with a silly grin on her face. She couldn't stop a heartily laugh on how the way she called her. Taeyeon who stood by the car's door, smiled and bent her knees to level Lizzy's height. The young Sooyoung, which she considered Taeyeon as a second mother had given her a loving embrace.

"Aigoo, this kid, Taeyeon isn't that old yet, I'm still young." She made a cute pout, while the grin on the younger's face went even bigger. Taeyon let out a contented sigh, then she helped Lizzy to get on the back of the car.

Lizzy's smile is always apparent to everyone, but behind those blinding smiles, she covers her real facade. In her age, a kid like her, she thinks distinctively compare to her friends or the other kids at school. She isn't that needy like the other young kids around her age. She doesn't ask her parents to buy her a new toy. For a five-year-old kid like her, she is miles away matured than the other children. Lizzy is not a normal typical girl in her age like the others, who prefer such as playing, or fooling around. The youngster prefers to play a piano and swim. The girl is rather athletic and likes to do something productive at her leisure.

Her parents aren't always at home since they drowned themselves at work. The young Park doesn't see them so often at home which she feels dejected about it. Lizzy tries to forget this feeling of loneliness by playing piano or by swimming at a nearby swimming pool. When Lizzy have gotten tired of her hobbies, Taeyon will be there to accompany her through hard times. Taeyon and Lizzy are inseparable because the maid acts more than a true mother than her actual mother. She sympathizes the young Park. When she needs a love from her true parents, they never give her one. On the contrary, work is essential than giving their daughter's attention. Taeyon sees the lack of affection towards the young girl that she's missing. The maid then have began performing the real parent act, because a child like her is lacking one. She can't bring this topic to her little master's parents, opposing to them means losing her only one job to support her family. Lizzy is like a little sister to her and her foster sister.

Their journey to home wasn't that long. They reached the mansion a little sooner. The driver parked the car at the garage. She quickly got off the car and opened the car door for Lizzy. Lizzy spotted her parents' car next to theirs as soon as she set her foot to the gorund. She raced to the door's mansion that led to the living room, because she would only see her parents in a brief moment. The maid watched her little master's disappeared behind the door. She couldn't really lie about it that Lizzy really miss her parents for their long physical absence. The driver of the car popped his head out of the car's window. He observed the maid in a brief moment, before he interrupted her little reverie.

"She's like your little sister, isn't she?" Jinki got himself off the car as he asked a question. "It's all written over your face that you really adore her." She cast a glace at him before leaving a weak smile.

"She resembles Hayeon in some ways." She answered before she proceeded to the kitchen. Jinki then let out a snicker as he later on followed the maid.

The young Park arrived at the living room. The excitement she felt a moment ago, was completely gone when she saw luggages in their hands. Son Dambi, her aunt, the one she wasn't closed with, was with them while talking to them nonchalantly. The said woman was waiting for her parents. The young girl approached the three adults to greet them, except for Dambi. She reminisced the day when she stayed at Dambi's household for a day. A day of staying at her place, there she learnt the true colour of her aunt. She acted like as if they got along so well in the face of her parents, but deep down she knew it all along. Her smiles and caresses were all lies, telling her parents would be totally a waste. She knew that she'd get an answer that telling her indirectly that she was being delusional. Her parents knew her longer than her, by keeping silent about it was the right decision. She didn't want to be hated her by her auntie for some unknown reasons. Her second mother, Taeyon, knew all about this. She was the only one who listen to her by sharing her own sufferings.

"Appa! Omma!" She called out to them before latching her arms around his father's legs. Her mother bent her knees as she stretched her arm to caress her dark silky hair. "Where are you going?" Tears threatening to fall while she asked. Dambi watched with a smile, but on the inside she wasn't pleased to see the couple's daughter.

"Sooyoung, honey, at least say hi to your auntie. Didn't I tell you to show a respectful greeting to our visitors?" The older woman reminded her daughter indignantly.

"No worries, she's probably shy, you know kids?" Dambi answered logically. With a palpable hidden reason in the eyes of the young girl, she knew why she acted crude in her presence.

The little girl felt her mother's glare without casting a look at her mother. She didn't want to argue with her mother, so she was left obeying what her mother told her.

"Hi auntie, I'm sorry for being impolite." It was a brief and a quick greeting. A moment of obeying her mother, she then diverted her attention back to her parents. The older woman shook her head with her daughter's attitude. She didn't want this to get more bigger issue, so she let it slide for now. She sigh uncontentedly. She didn't want her daughter by having a grudge during their trip to Japan.

"Appa," She cooed once more.

"Sooyoung ah, me and your omma will have a trip for two weeks. All I want you to be a good girl while we are gone. We promise you that when we return, we will be having a trip to an amusement park." The older man, smiled apologetically.

The little girl couldn't help but by not believing her parents' words anymore. She was promised alot but to be cancelled right away. Her lips turned into thin line. None of their promises came true.

"Appa!"

She felt a lump in the throat for unknown reason as she eventually broke down to tears. It was like she would never see her love ones again. Her father bent a little to match up her height. He brought the bags down on the floor and captured her hands in between his.

"Sooyoung, listen, I promise this because after our trip, we will have our family together finally. We've got our vacation after for so long, so please wait and believe to my words." He placed a hand on her head before leaving a loving fatherly kiss on the forehead.

"Taeyon!" Her father called for their maid.

Taeyon scurried off the kitchen to meet her masters. Less than a minute, she was there waiting for the man to give her commands.

"Yes, sir?" A sight of Dambi at the living room, she unconciously frowned but she feigned a smile so quickly. A glare was shot towards to Taeyeon which both of the couple missed. She felt chills down to her spine but she acted that she wasn't affected by it.

The maid and the driver know of my plans. Darn, that Taecyeon for not being so wary of his surroundings. We could have avoided this problem without these pests to my plans. I should think of threatening them or killing them off. When the news comes out, no evidences will be available for the cops. Dambi thoughtfully thought.  [Edited at 1:49 am on December 12, 2014]

"Take Sooyoung to her room and follow what she asks of you." He firmly told her as she bowed slightly to them.

The girl was sort of unwilling to go. Although she remained silent instead of making this a long pain of silly arguments.

"We have to hurry up, we don't want to be late for flight, do we?" Dambi reminded the two. Lizzy turned to look one last time until their presence in the house were entirely gone. It added more sorrow in her heart when her parents left. She was hoping to see them again so soon to spend more time together with them. There was still a hope lingering in her heart, even just a tiny bit of it.

"Sooyoung ah, what do you want to do? Do you want to watch cartoons?" Taeyeon suggestively asked. She tried to be as lively as she could, but the little one respectfully declined. She asked the maid to leave her alone in the room. When she heard the click on door, she cried herself to sleep.

The three adults headed to the airport. Dambi was engaging to a enthusiastic conversation with Lizzy's mother. The man in the driver's seat sometimes blended in their little discussion. The atmosphere in the car gave out a very lively aura. Their small conversation came to a stop when Dambi's phone rang, indicating for her to stop her little chit chat with the couple. She politely excused herself before grabbing the device in her bag.

"Please excuse me, my dear, guess it's Taecyeon calling."

The other older woman made a little gesture to go on for her to pick it up.

"Dambi, hon, get out the car right away. The plan is already set."

"Is that so? We have an urgent meeting?" With an exasperated sigh escape his mouth, the younger man shook his head.

"Yeah, for the motherlovin' of - if don't want to get toast alive in that car, leave the car immediately."

"I've got it, I don't need more further ado." Dambi ended the call and followed by Lizzy's mother question.

"A meeting? Honey, let's drop her off to he-" Dambi politely declined the offer.

"It's fine, my dear, you can drop me off at the sidewalk. I'm deeply sorry for this sudden meeting, it's important. I don't want to be the cause of your delay. I promise on the day of your return, I'll be welcoming you, me and Lizzy at the airport." Her little act was easily bought by the couple. She's skillfuly good at this mere act.

"Okay, if you really insist." The man accepted her request earnestly.

"I'm fine from here on," The car stopped in front of the nearby burger joint. She had this apologetic smile as she verbalized her deep apology to the couple.

"Dambi dear, it's fine we will be seeing you after our trip." The other woman smiled.

The car sped off until it disappeared through the small traffic ahead of her. She waved them goodbye before turning her back to the car's opposite direction. A seemingly black aura radiating from her with a venemous smile appearing on her lips.

"How funny is that? Both of you will be dead cold bodies when you return."

Taeyeon went back to her little master's room. She made completely sure that the girl was fast asleep in her bed. She watched the girl with dried tears on her cheeks. She hummed a quiet lullaby while she was asleep. She was concerned and she wasn't able to sleep. She kept praying for her parents safety. She kept recalling what she heard from Dambi's lover through their phone conversation, which was last week. Jinki and Taeyon were at the garage, cleaning the car. The maid chose to help Jinki which the driver cheerfully accepted. Both of them heard a seemingly familiar voice from nearby. They didn't intend to eavesdrop about the contents about their discussion. Taecyeon's voice was audible. They pretended to work in silence. Taeyon glanced at Jinki with a worried face. They froze and sent chills down to their spine when they heard Taecyeon's intent to kill Lizzy's parents. Unmoved to their spot, Taecyeon ended the call quickly. He ended the call from his girlfriend. He took the fast route to the living room at the garage. Eyes widened in surprise to witness the two were there throughout his phone's conversation. He had this feeling that both of them heard about their plan. He didn't show any signs of concern, but shot them a glare instead.

"You two!" Pointing his two fingers to the both of them. "Both of you, I am certain that you've heard it. Shut your cakeholes up or-" Taecyeon slid his two fingers to the right that he used to point at them near to his neck. That was his way to threaten the poor mansion's labourers. He left them with paled faces, snickering his way to the living room.

Oh please God, protect Lizzy's parents from harm. She was hoping that her small prayers would actually work. She held her little master's hand in hers. The weariness she felt since morning until that moment took a hold of her. She fell asleep next to the small girl. A couple of hours later, Jinki was shouting down the main floor while he was searching for Taeyeon.

"Taeyoen ssi! Taeyeon ssi!" Eyebrows knitted together by just hearing someone call her name. She noticed that she fell asleep in Lizzy's bed. A feeling of irritation came over her. She had the feeling smacking a few punches to Jinki later. She carefully moved out of the girl's bed. She carefully closed the door behind her before she met Jinki down the main floor.

"Why are you shouting like a lunatic? Don't you know that Sooyoung is sleeping ever so peacefully in her room?" She glared at her co-worker in the mansion. The guy didn't pay attention too much about it since he was having a troubled expression. The maid raised a brow at him with his unusual behaviour. A second later, Jinki swiftly grabbed her right arm, dragging the shocked maid to his room. "What the helL, Jinki!"

"C'mere! Look at the news!"

Taeyeon spared a glance at the TV screen until she fully gave her full attention on the screen. She dumbfoundedly gape at the live streaming news before her. Tears clouding up her eyes at the sight of Lizzy's parents scorching car. The car's plate number started to turn into a black piece of metal. The plate number that was screened on the news made her burst to painful sobs. She was entirely certain that was her parents car. An explosion soon followed, flying car parts dropped near the burning car. Jinki watched the news that was hard to believe, as he painfully wrapped his strong arms around Taeyeon's petite body as source of comfort.

"We could have done something," As a man like Jinki, he couldn't hide but shaken to this tragic event. "We-We are taken by our cowardice." He felt totally guilty at the current happenings in their lives.

"I can't forgive myself, I'll be living o-off with this forever. I'm such a total coward, Jinki!"

Taeyeon's cries were painful to hear for Jinki. He couldn't stop a tear or two from this event. They stood their in silence as they searched comfort to each other.

"We can't unveil this to the young girl. She can't handle this news right no-"

A loud noise was heard from the outside. Jinki and Taeyeon's attention diverted from the news to the unusual noise outside of the room. Uncountable footsteps filled the mansion. Taeyeon didn't care anymore about her safety. She thought the safety of her little master instead. She could have at least save this poor young soul if she couldn't do it with her parents. Jinki was astonished at Taeyeon's action. He ran after her and followed her to Lizzy's room. Two strong hands grabbed Taeyeon and Jinki by the arm. They didn't manage to get to their destination in time. Bandits surrounded the two as they threw them like two sakcs of garbage bags on the sofa. At the living room, Taeyeon tried to move on her end, but she greeted the gun right in front of her eyes.

"One more move, a bullet will create a hole inside your skull." Said a man with seemingly familiar voice as he entered the mansion's entrance with his face covered. Eyes were only visible to the poor victims. A lady who a black dress approached them.

"I ask of you to keep this from going to the public, Tayeon ssi and also to Jinki ssi. If this ever leaks out, I've got no option for you but to kill you off. Remember, anyone you are connected to will be killed as well whether families or friends. Say goodbye to your love ones."

Dambi firmly explained to them with a mischievous smile on her face. Jinki and Taeyeon knew by angering her meant their lives in exchange, so they kept silent as their last option.

"I'm not lying to the both of you, I have a task for you before you finally quit this mansion. Take her to an orphanage at the center of the city. Tell the people who work there regarding the kid's have gone through, I also want you two never come here to Seoul again. Leave all the memories you've had." Dambi kept her long rant before telling them she'd covered anything they need for a short while.

"I'll give you enough money to support yourselves and your family for at least a year. I have some connections from where you live. If ever something's happened which involves this matter, I'll let you get killed by my boys. My boys will be watching you while taking the kid to an orphanage. Tryna save her both of you are done."

Taeyeon looked at Jinki with wavering eyes. The guy didn't take him too long to decide as he nodded to Taeyeon. Jinki had something to protect too, his family, and he couldn't sacrifice everything he had left. Taeyeon didn't have any choices left for her as she agreed to the deal. All of this sudden events made her paranoid. She couldn't catch to any of these happenings.

"Get the kid in the car!" She commanded.

They were both terrified which left them gawking at her. They were scared to even move. [Edited @ 7:34, December 12, 2014]

"Now go, a car will be waiting for you outside." Dambi's body guards went out and they waited outside of the mansion waiting for them to get Lizzy out of the house to send her to an ophanage. Taeyeon forced herself to stand up and she headed at the younger one's room. Jinki followed. She opened the door carefully as she sat on the bed. Shaking her shoulder so gently until the younger woke up.

"Taejumma?" She rubbed her eyes as she carefully sat on the bed. She noticed her eyes were red and she could tell that she cried on something. She didn't answer. Lizzy looked over to her driver and their faces weren't happy at all. "What's wrong? Taejumma?" Lizzy's hand placed her hands over Taeyeon's.

"Sooyoung ah, we've been together since you were born you know that right?" Lizzy nodded. Her voice was shaky and Lizzy noticed that a problem was making her friend sad.

"Taeyeon unnie, what's wrong?" Lizzy asked. She only called her unnie when she knew that her friend wasn't feeling well or sad. "Don't cry."

"Sooyoung ah, be strong. You might not handle this since you're still a kid." Taeyeon said and tears that she held for so long fell. Lizzy was kinda alarmed and she didn't understand why Taeyeon were saying those words.

"Taeyeon unnie? Please, Sooyoung doesn't want to see her friend cry." Taeyeon lowered her head. Jinki looked away.

"I think we won't see each other anymore."

"What are you saying?! Unnie, please don't make a joke."

"Listen to unnie, like a while ago." But before she could even continue. Lizzy was shot and she fell on her bed unconcious. Jinki and Taeyeon were so shocked and they looked at the door to see Taecyeon holding a gun.

"Why are you taking so long?! I didn't kill her I just shot her some sleeping gun! Take her belongings and get out of here. We will take her to that orphanage in the city! And pack your stuff also and don't leave anything." Taeyeon was flaring with fury but she couldn't do anything. She was afraid of her life and at the same time she was concerned towards her little friend. "What are you waiting for?" Without an answer she took her bags and packed all her belongings hurriedly. As soon as they were finished. They met up with Dambi's guard. Jinki was carrying the poor girl. They were on the car silently. Not even one dared to speak. After good 30 minutes of the trip. They finally reached the place. The Sin Nam Orphanage. Taeyeon and Jinki hesitated to follow their orders but if they didn't follow them they would be dead by now.

"Go! Placed her body in front of the gate and  her things also come back quickly after you are done." Dambi instructed them. The two went out of the car and they carefully put her body on the ground along the bags with her.

"Sorry, Sooyoung, I can't do anything. I hope someday you will find a good parents that will love you. I'm sorry I hope someday you can forgive me." They looked at her before they went back to the car. Jinki hugged her and they went back to the car. The car sped off leaving the sleeping body of Lizzy in front of the orphanage.

Bekah heard the cars engine outside of the orphanage. She called Sunny and within a minute Sunny met up with her.

"Sunny, can you checked what was that noise outside?" Bekah asked.

"What? Why me?" She whined like a kid.

"Just come on! Go get your out there?!" Sunny dragged her legs to where that noises that Bekah told her. Upon reaching up the door. She opened it to be revealed with a little girl that was lying down in front of the orphanage. Sunny's eyes were glued at the sleeping body of the child. She ran back at the orphanage dragging back along Bekah to see the child sleeping so peacefully.

"Not again?! They left another poor kid." Bekah was shaking her head. "Sunny bring her to a room and I'll get her belongings." Sunny picked her up and when Bekah was about to get the last bag on the ground a paper fell. She picked it up and read what was written on it.

"Huh? Park Sooyoung? Just a name? But any additional information aren't added? I'll call the police tomorrow."

Foreword

Before I'll forget this idea in my head, I want to write it down and turn it into a story lol! Sorry, if it was so rushed, I hope you'd like the prologue. I might change the title though LOL!

I'm not satisfied with it AND THIS IS TEMPORARY. I think I have thought of a good one to change the title.

Something Like Dust That Makes Up My World

Here, I will go and explain why I have chosen this title. I want my title pertains a little bit to nature. Just a play of words in Japanese. I'm not a Japanese person myself, but the title came from a Japanese manga xD. I Credit to the author of that manga ^^. I think my story is entirely so so related to the tile. In Japanese, if you say that a world is made of dust, or 'dust world', it is refer of the dark side and impure side of this world. We do wrongful acts sometimes, which we shouldn't be enjoying, yet this makes us feel good. It's like bad is good for you, like how some part of the society has gone better to worst xD. And there you go, that's the little brief explanation of this title.

I know it's been a year by not updating this fic, but I would like to thank the people who've read this fic.

I'm really happy to know that some still read this story and for that again I'm delighted about it.

This is not all about colorful flying unicorns and it!!

If some of you that don't like drama that much.

Prolly, this fic is not for you, it's not for everyone hi hi hi HA HA HA!

Then this one will have more haha.

I can't promise that I'll update regularly on a daily basis. College made me a study go school with a little bit of time of myself student xD.

It depends on my free time and school makes it more harder for me to update, especially right now. My finals' been killing me. Yeah, December 2014 for you xD!

Back to the story xD, I'll probably use more of Lizzy's POV, prolly not.

English is not my first language and I'm striving to be a Geophyscist LOL.I'm not a grammar nazi, I apologize for the grammar mistakes or some minor spelling errors.

Thank you, again for sparing some time to read this fic.

And to those who subscribed to my fics.

I'm grateful to have you guys hehe.

Check my other fics also.
