A woman in her early 30s was walking down the street after her long day at work at the nearby hospital. She let out a yawn and stretched her arms. As she walked past an alleyway, she heard a what it seems like sounds a baby crying behind the dumpster.

"what in the world?" she stopped and cautiously stepped towards the source of the sound. She was shocked when she saw a newborn child wrapped a thin blanket. She gently picked up the child and observed him more closely. The child had a hunched back and deformed face. She has heard about the belief that a person with a deformity will only bring pain and suffering. But she never believed it and thought it was just mumbo jumbo. But unfortunately for this child, the whole town believed in that belief. The infant stopped crying and eyed her curiously. She couldn't help but feel sad for the infant.  That day she made the decision to take care of the child. She quickly wrapped the child with her scarf and went home. 

 

Upon opening the door, she was greeted by a small boy.

 

"Umma!" the rushed boy to the door. He stared at what his mother was holding and gave her mum a questioning look. 

 

"umma, what is that?"

 

 she kneeled down and showed the baby to him.

 

"Jay, say hello to ur baby brother"

 

" a brother?!" his eyes lit up upon hearing the word. 

He look at the baby admiringly. 

 

" i can't wait till you grow up, so we can play together." he put his hands together and smiled widely. 

 

" umma, what's his name?" he asked with his eyes still on his brother.

 

" why don't we call him seunghyun?"

 

"Seunghyun? Like appa?"

 

" yeah, like your appa."

 

" Welcome home seunghyun! I'm jay hyung. Even though appa's not here anymore, I promise that i will be a good hyung and always protect you." The woman then smiled at the scene before her.
