As Time Goes By
it was the usual morning where everyone is start to wake up and get ready for their day
it's including tiffany who is busy making breakfast at the kitchen.
Tiffany POV
"hey there" i feel a pair of hand wrapped around my waist and someone's kissing my neck
"hey, go sit while i'm plating the food" i'm patting the hand at my waist and kiss her cheeck.
"ok then"
"so tiffany, do you have any plan for tonight?"
"hmmm, nop. why?"
"well, i plan to take you out for a dinner tonigh. are you ok with it?"
"i don't think there's any problem"
"ok then, i'll take you in front of the bookstore at 6 o'clock then?"
"ok"
"see you tonight babe. love you. mmmuah" she peck me on the lips
"love you too"
i watched taeyeon go to work by car while i'm waving goodbye at her at the front of the door.
we've been together for almost a year now, everything is going on smoothly.
on our six month anniversary, we've decided to moving in together.
both of us are working. she's a very dedicated worker in her work as a lawyer
while i'm just a manager in one of the branch of famous bookstore.
taeyeon is not my first lover, but it doesn't mean i don't love her whole heartedly.
i just don't want the same thing happen to taeyeon as what happened to my previous lover.
i hope it wont happened again.
That night
i just finished closing the bookstore.
i hope that i'm not underdressed fot the dinner.
i guess it's ok if it's only a three star restaurant.
but if it's a five star, i'm just gonna embarresed myself.
*honk honk*
oh, taeyeon is here.
"hey there beautiful. are you alone?"
"i guess so, since it looks like my girlfriend wont pick me up anytime soon"
"oh really, it must be my lucky day then. wanna go on a dinner with me?"
"can i? wont your girlfriend be mad at you?"
"my girlfriend? hmmm, i've been waiting for her for quite sometimes, it looks like she wont come"
"tch taeyeon, you such a flirt. i bet you used to do that to pick girls up huh?"
"nooooooooo, the only girls i used the line to picked ypu up!"
"ok then. let's go. i'm hungry"
In front of the restaurant
"good evening miss, have you made a reservation?"
"yes, kim taeyeon, table for two"
"owh, follow me please"
"here is your seat, and this is the menu. just call me up when you ready to make an order"
"ok. thanks" taeyeon said to the waiter.
"what would you like to eat tiffany? steak? fish? chicken?"
"hmmmmmm"
i was looking at the menu to think about what to eat.
then all of the sudden, i heard someone playing piano at the back/
i turned my head around, and i cannot believe what i just saw.
"tiffany, tiffany? hey, are you ok?'
"huh? yeah yeah, i'm ok" my heart was beating really fast all of sudden
"so, what do you want to eat?"
"i'll have the same thing as you"
"ok then. waiter"
taeyeon start to talk the waiter and order for the both of us.
i turned my head at the same direction that i just look few minutes ago.
i never know that she can play a piano before, and it was beautiful.
"you seems distracted. are you ok hun?"
hun. that was the name that she used to called me.
"i'm ok. just a little bit tired i guess" i faked a smile
"owh, it's a busy day at the bookstore huh?"
"yup, it was the start of a semester. there's a lots of students who came by today"
"oh, poor baby. i'll give you a massage when we get home" taeyeon smile lovingly
i smile back at her while grip her hand on the table.
showing how much i appreciate her for that.
finally the waiter come and bring us our foods and drinks.
taeyeon is ordering a fine wine for both of us.
i guess she just win a case or she is in a really good mood.
while eating, i've been wondering what she's been doing here?
wasn't she's supposed to be in japan working with her groupmates there?
and why is she's wearing that big black sunglasses?
"the piano player is good huh?"
"huh?" taeyeon must be noticed that i staring at the piano player a lot
"that piano player, she plays such a beautiful music"
"yup, it's beautiful and soothing"
"waiter!"
"yes mam, what can i help you with?"
"the piano player? what's her name? how long has she's been working here?"
"oh, that Ms. Kim Hyoyeon. she's been working here for almost six months now"
"can you bring her here? i just want to praise her for the beautiful music that she's been playing tonight"
"ok mam, i'll try to talk to her"
the waiter walks away. and all of sudden, the beautiful music stop playing.
i see her and the waiter walking to our table.
"hello mam, good evening" the pianist say to us with a smile on his face
"hye. my name is kim taeyeon. my girlfriend seem to love the music that you've been playing since we walked in.
may i know your name please?"
"oh, thank you for that. it such a pleasure that someone enjoy it. my name is hyoyeon, kim hyoyeon"
"kim hyoyeon, it was nice knowing you. oh, and this is my girlfriend, tiffany hwang"
"tippany?"
"hahahaha, not tippany, it's tiffany" laugh taeyeon
"my mistake. it such a coincidence. i used to know someone with that's name."
"really? who is she? your girlfriend too?"
"nop, not really. just my ex-girlfriend"
"sorry to heard about that"
"it's ok. it's been almost a year since we've broke up"
"may i know why you wear a black sunglasses in a restaurant?" ask taeyeon to the pianist
"oh, i guess that's what people usually wear when they are blind"
b..b..b....blind?
she's blind?
but..... how?
"i'm sorry for asking you such a question"
"it's ok kim taeyeon shii" hyoyeon just smile sadly while facing the ground
"so, are you blind since birth?"
"no. it was my fault. for being so stupid, and love someone so much"
"may i ask you what happened if you don't mind?"
"well, as you might know, i used to have a girlfriend before. but all of sudden, she's decide to broke up,
with no valid reasons. since i love her so much, i've been crying for almost two weeks non stop. and then one day,
i realized that i cannot see anything anymore"
sh.. sh.... she's blind because of me?
but..but..but why?
i... i....
"i'm so sorry to hear that kim hyoyeon shii"
"no, it's ok. it's not your fault anyway"
"well, if that's it, i guess i'm going back to the piano and continue my work"
"kim hyoyeon shii"
"yes tippani shii"
"can you sing us a song?"
"hmmm. what song would you like me to sing?"
"i don't mind"
"well, i see what i can do"
"thaks for willing to spend some time and talk with us" taeyeon said while shaking her hand
"it's my pleasure"
then hyoyeon give out her hand to shake hands with me.
the moments she shake hands with me, she looks shock all of sudden.
and then a sad smile appear on her face.
i guess she know.
"goodbye"
after hyoyeon go back to her piano, we just sit there at the table drinking wine while waiting for her to
play the piano and sing a song.
"good evening everyone. sorry for disturbing your dinner. due to the request from a pair of lovely couple who
is having a dinner date tonight, i'll decided to sing a song. i hope you guys will enjoy."
and then she start pressing the piano key
