"~~~~ are you ready? Your friends are here." Your mum called out to you from the staircase. "Alright, omma i'll be down in a minute!"

You quickly sprayed some perfume on your neck and pulse points, combed your hair and took a last look of yourself in your full length mirror. Satisfied, you rushed downstairs to meet your friends.

"Hey guys. Ready to go?" You asked your friends. They were about to answer when your mom interrupted. "Not so fast. You haven't introduced your friends to me yet."

"Mom, you know my friends. You've met them like a thousand times!" You rolled your eyes. "I just want to make sure." She shrugged. You know it's useless to argue with her so in the end you did a fast-forward introduction of your friends.

"This is Daehyun. He has been my bestfriend since we were in diapers. His parents are Mr & Mrs Jung who are appa & your close friends."

"This is Minyoung. You've known her for few years now because we've been friends since middle school."

"This is Jiyoung, and Suzy. Jiyoung lives four blocks away from our house, and Suzy lives next to Jiyoung's house."

"So can we go now?" You asked impatiently. Your mom chuckled at your childish behaviour. "Alright. Be careful. Take care and most importantly, have fun kids!" Your mom waved as you and your friends walked out of the house. All of you waved back and headed to the bus stop.

When you and your friends arrived at Han River, there were already a lot of people there, also waiting for the fireworks display.

"What time is it now?" Minyoung asked. "11.15pm." Daehyun replied, looking at his watch. "Let's find a spot. We need to hurry or else all the good spots will be taken!" Suzy urged.

"Yeah, Suzy's right. But where exactly are the good spots?" Jiyoung questioned, tapping a finger on her chin.

You looked around and spotted a vacant spot on the steps by the river, which had a view overlooking the lit up bridge and the city.

"Hey look! Let's sit there." You suggested. The others agreed and all of you made your way to the steps. Daehyun sat next to Minyoung, and you sat one step above with Suzy and Jiyoung. You were slightly frustrated because you wanted to sit next to Daehyun. Why? Because he had been your long time crush. Of which he didn't know of.

But you shook those negative feelings away and decided to enjoy the view when your stomach growled. "Guys I'm hungry. I'm gonna go get something to eat. You guys want anything?" You said while getting up. Daehyun was about to get up to accompany you, but Suzy got up first. "I'll come with you." She volunteered. "Me too." Jiyoung chimed in.

Daehyun wanted to follow too but seeing there was no one to accompany Minyoung to save the spot, he stayed behind
