‘Why every time I try to kiss you, you move away? Don’t you see I’m dying for that kiss? To touch those lips that so many times had been inches away and miles away at the same time… I love you Hyuna, why can’t you see my feelings?’ Sohyun said inside her head watching her friend sleeping beside her. She caressed Hyuna’s cheek and moved away a string of hair.

‘Saranghae…’ the girl whispered.

Sohyun looked at Hyuna a little longer and then she started to feel sleepy. Couple of minutes later, both were sleeping with their heads really close but not touching.

In the morning

‘Hey maknaes, wake up’ said Jiyoon shaking both her friends’ shoulders.

Sohyun moved lazily and opened her eyes. ‘Unnie…, what is it?’ mumbled the girl.

‘What do you mean “what is it”? It’s almost 7! We have schedule in an hour!’

‘What?’ Sohyun startled and when she did so unconsciously woke up Hyuna that was lying next to her.

‘Unnie, what is wrong?’ said the rapper half awake half asleep.

‘Wake up sleepy head, we have schedule in one hour’ ordered Jiyoon walking out the room.

‘I’m sorry to wake you up like this unnie’ the maknae apologized.

‘It’s ok’ Hyuna smiled at Sohyun and stepped out the bed. Sohyun followed her friend with her eyes.

‘She looks so beautiful even in the morning… What I’m saying, she looks great especially in the morning…’ the younger girl thought in a flash. Hyuna turned around and looked at her surprised.

‘Sohyun, why are you staring at me like that? I have something on my face?’

Sohyun slapped herself to reality. ‘Oh, no, it’s nothing…’ the girl blushed and looked away.

‘Is she blushing?’ Hyuna thought finding this peculiar. She decided not to say anything about it though. ‘I’m going to shower now’

‘Ok…’ the maknae replied and again, she followed her crush until she disappeared from her gaze.

Sohyun POV

‘I have to tell her or else I’m going to explode…’ I lean on my back and covered my face with the blankets. ‘Jesus Sohyun, what are you thinking? You can’t tell her anything! What about the friendship? She didn’t even like girls… right?’

‘Yah! Sohyun-ah, what are you doing? Stand up and go have breakfast’ Jiyoon-nie entered the room and pulled the blankets off my face.

‘What if I ask for help…? Appa is a good listener…’

‘Unnie…’ I whispered looking at my friend’s eyes. She sat on the edge of the bed concerned about my tone of voice and face probably…

‘What is it? You seem a little off…’ she caressed my cheek and I grabbed her hand.

‘Unnie, can I ask you something?’ I was decided to ask for an advice.

Jiyoon-nie looked worried but don’t mention it. ‘Sure…, what is it?’

‘…I…’ I couldn’t find the right words to say. ‘I… I kinda like someone…’ I tried to cover my face with the blankets again in embarrassment.

‘Oh~!’ Jiyoon-nie smiled and held my hands so I couldn’t hide. ‘I’m listening…’ she whispered getting closer to my face. She was still smirking.

I gulped. ‘We’ve been friends for a while and… I don’t know why I’m starting to feel different about-’

‘Is it Dongwoon?’ she interrupted me with a big smile.

I shook my head. ‘No…’

She looked confused. ‘Huh? Is not Dongwoon? Then who?’

‘Unnie!’

‘Fine, fine, sorry, keep talking’ she moved her hands.

I took a deep breath. ‘…I… I’m not sure if I should tell her my feelings’ I rushed the words but I could clearly see my friend’s eyes getting bigger by the second.

‘What? Wait, her?’ Now Jiyoon-nie moved away and almost stood up the bed.

‘Oh … I messed up everything…’ I covered my mouth and suddenly I felt tears swirling in my eyes.

‘No, no, no, don’t cry, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean it like that…’ she rushed to the bed and hugged me tight caressing my hair. ‘I’m sorry…’ she kept repeating. I felt all the heavy weight of carrying that secret within me for so long in my shoulders and I couldn’t handle it anymore.

‘Screw this…’I buried my face in her shoulder and I let the tears run down my cheeks and fall in Jiyoon’s shirt.

She held me for a while before I could put myself together.

‘Unnie…, please… don’t tell… the others yet…’ I sobbed and she nodded.

‘I promise…, but please stop crying…’ I nodded at this and broke the hug. She cleaned my face with her bare hands and smiled sincerely. ‘…Can I ask who?’ she asked carefully but I shook my head.

‘I just need an advice… for now…’ she nodded understanding.

‘I’m still listening…’

‘She and I had been friends for a long time now…, but I’m not sure if she likes girls too…’ my friend thought for a moment.

‘Sohyunie, have you thought in telling her how you feel?’ I nodded.

‘But it’s too hard…, besides, what if she doesn’t like girls and I look like a fool?’

‘You’re not going to look like a fool, trust me, besides, there’s nothing wrong with telling someone how you feel’

‘Or if she likes girls but she doesn’t like me…’ I whined and Jiyoon-nie smiled comprehensive.

‘I know how it feels like…I’ve been there’

‘Really?’ she nodded.

‘But that’s the risk we have to take for be sincere with ourselves…’ she touch my cheek with affection. ‘Tell her… I’m sure she’ll say yes… No woman in her five senses could possibly say no to a girl as pretty as you’ I smiled and hugged her tight.

‘Thank you unnie…’

‘Yah! Why are you two hugging?’ whined Hyuna from the door. She was already changed.

I cleaned my tears quickly so she didn’t notice that I was crying.

‘Gosh…she looks hot with her hair wet…’ I thought watching at my friend and almost bit my lower lip.

Hyuna POV

When I went out the bathroom, I entered the bedroom and I found Jiyoon-nie and Sohyun hugging each other. I couldn’t help but feeling jealous.

‘Yah! Why are you two hugging?’ I let out before I could stop myself.

Jiyoon-nie giggled and broke the hug.

‘Come here silly baby, there’s love for you too’ I smiled relief seeing that it was just appa-daughter love. I giggled and threw myself into Jiyoon and Sohyun’s arms.

I felt really happy… Sohyun’s face and mine were so close that I could feel her breathing on my cheek. It made me shiver.

After a couple of minutes, Jiyoon-nie pushed me away and ordered Sohyun to go wash herself and get change.

‘Ok, ok…’ she said while Jiyoon-nie winked at her and walked out

‘What was that…?’ I got surprised and turned my head to look at Sohyun. When I turned, I found that she was already looking me with a smile on her face.

‘… She’s so pretty…’ I thought looking at my friend’s face. ‘Wait, those are signs of tears?’

‘Sohyun-ah…were you crying?’ I took a step forward and touched her cheek. She shook her head.

‘It’s ok unnie’ she said and walked towards the door.

‘Odd…’ I thought while I saw her figure walking away of me.

‘She was crying and she doesn’t wanna tell me…’ I felt sad. I thought that above all the members, she will tell ME her problems… Apparently I was wrong… I felt like crying for a second but then Jiyoon-nie got in…

‘Hey… What is it? Are you all right?’ I looked at her and tears started to fell down my cheeks. ‘Hyuna, what is it?’ she ran towards me and hugged me.

‘…un…nie…I…Sohyun…’ I couldn’t speak fluently because I was crying too much. ‘Gee…they’re right… I’m a crying baby…’

Jiyoon-nie, always caring, rubbed my back and then my hair. I buried my face on her shoulder.

‘There, there…, calm down… I have good news for you…’ she said and I looked up. She smiled and continued. ‘Sohyun like girls too…’ she said almost in a whisper.

‘What?’ I widened my eyes and a big smile appeared on my face.

‘Sohyun like girls and I’m pretty sure is you the girl she likes’

‘Really? Did she tell you that?’ she nodded.

‘You should confess soon’ she said with a cute smile. I nodded furiously. ‘Don’t cry anymore, ok?’ I nodded again. She patted my head and left the room.

‘Is this really happening? Sohyun tell Jiyoon-nie she like girls? She likes me?’ I thought while I waited for my crush to go out the bathroom.

After 10 minutes, she was at the room again. Her hair wet and her clothe well put. I grinned.

‘Is now or never’

‘Sohyun, I need to talk to you’ I said closing the door behind her. She looked confused.

‘S-Sure, what is it?’ I went close to her and took a deep breath.

‘Sohyun…, I need to tell you something…’

‘What is it unnie, is everything alright? Why did you close the door?’

‘Everything is fine…, well…, not really…I…’ I hesitated. I close my eyes and let out a sigh.

‘This is harder than I thought…’

When I open my eyes, she was only inches away… ‘We were this close when I closed my eyes?’ I couldn’t help looking at her lips…

‘I…I…’ words just didn’t come out. I couldn’t think well having her so close. ‘Focus!’

I obligated myself to look at her eyes, and when I did it, Sohyun cut the short distance between us and barely touched my lips with hers… I paralyzed.

In all the time I or she teases about a kiss, I always get too nervous and move away just before she could make contact with me, but this time, she was too close and I couldn’t react…

I could feel her lips only for a brief second, but that was enough to make my heart beat like crazy. She took a step back and when she was about to say something, I pressed my lips against hers…

I don’t know what kind of demon took over control of my body but I was glad. The feeling of her lips burning mines, her soft aroma infecting my nose and her body softly moving, makes me lose control…

For a second she didn’t respond at the kiss, but precisely when I was giving up, she kissed me back. Harder and deeper than I did…

‘Is this really happening?’ I thought in a flash before she pushed me towards the wall and crashed her body over mine…

‘Hey makna-’ Jiyoon-nie opened the door and we both jumped off each other panicking. ‘Oops’ she said grinning and closed the door again.

I looked at Sohyun and she was covering her face with her hands. I was blushing… ‘Jiyoon-nie saw us… OMG!! This is so embarrassing…’ I covered my face with my hands too.

‘We unnies are going now! Hurry up and don’t be late!’ Jiyoon-nie shouted from outside the room. I grinned inside my hands. I found the whole scene funny so I started to giggle. The giggle turned very fast into laughs.

Sohyun looked at me like I was someone crazy but after a second, she started to laugh too.

We couldn’t stop laughing for like five minutes, but after we were exhausted and our abs hurt. I glance at her and went to her side.

‘Sohyun-ah…’ she looked up and met my eyes. ‘What I was going to say earlier is that… I love you…’

She smiled widely and pecked my lips. ‘I love you too…’

I felt so happy that I hugged her tightly. She hugged me back and we stayed like that for a couple of minutes.

‘We should go now…otherwise NamJi is going to kill us’ she said caressing my hair. I didn’t want to let her go but I knew she was right. Slowly I release my grab and looked into her yes.

‘Your eyes are beautiful…’ I let go without thinking. She blushed.

‘Yours too…’ we looked at each other’s eyes for a moment that seemed like an eternity.

‘Saranghae…’ she said breaking the silence.

‘Nado saranghae…’ I said and kissed her softly. She smiled, grabbed my hand and we walked out the dorm…

‘This is the best day of my life…!!!’
