Shim Changmin wasn’t happy –not in the slightest bit. Of all the unfortunate events that happened to him today, this had got to be the worst. Earlier in the set of the variety show, he tripped over his own foot, missed a shot when his Yunho hyung stole the ball from him, and to add to his ungodly experiences, Yoochun even miscalculated and passed the ball against the side of his face. 

 

But the renowned evil maknae didn’t mind at all. He was too excited to eat his favourite chocolate he left at home to even care. It was given to him by a fan yesterday, but he couldn’t eat it because he was saving it for today. In fact, that chocolate was the very reason why he couldn’t concentrate. 

 

He was dying to eat it already!

 

But now, he couldn’t anymore. 

 

God of all food, Shim Changmin’s chocolate had gone missing! And now, just like a detective, the mouth of the gods had gone out to investigate the crime. 

 

“Changmin-ah, it’s not really us…” Yoochun said in a gentle tone, shaking both his hands as if to prove his point. “We really didn’t do it…”

 

The familiar uneven smile spread on the maknae’s face, the sign that Yoochun wasn’t helping the situation at all. There was almost a tangible red aura spiking out from Changmin. “Hyung, I’m not saying you ate it. I’m just asking where it is,” came his calm reply. 

 

Yoochun gulped, chuckling nervously. “I-is that so?”  

 

“But we really don’t know, Min-ah… Are you sure it’s not there?” their leader, Yunho, nervously said, pointing at the refrigerator. “It was just there earlier.” 

 

“Exactly, hyung. Chocolates don’t have feet to move around.” Again, Changmin smiled sweetly, sending shivers down their spines. “So just tell me where it is.” 

 

A familiar ring of nervous laughter echoed, and Jaejoong moved closer to Changmin and patted his shoulder. “How about we buy you another one? The same one? What do you say?” he asked hopefully. 

 

Changmin’s smile twitched, and Jaejoong immediately stepped back, paling. 

 

“That’s very kind of you, hyung, but there’s no need for that. Just tell me where my chocolate is and everything will be resolved. I’m not mad so don’t worry.”

 

“He’s very mad….” Yoochun whispered to Yunho who just nodded in return. As if the latter hadn’t noticed yet. 

 

There was absolute tension in the room. Changmin was acting very sweet and calm, but they knew better. It was the tip of the iceberg. The infamous Voldemin was just lying in wait, waiting for the moment to strike.  

 

But they didn’t really eat that chocolate. Everyone knew who that belonged to, save for one. He wasn’t present when a fan gave the said chocolate to their maknae. But he was out since earlier, so they were not certain yet. If he was indeed the suspect, then Jaejoong prayed he wouldn’t come home tonight.

 

The three were lined up in front of Changmin, fidgety and anxious. The maknae was leaning against his sanctuary, the ref, as he stared them down, waiting for an explanation. He raised a brow and asked again, but same answers greeted his inquiry. In that moment, the door opened, and out came Xiah Junsu who just got home from his soccer practice. All three gulped when they saw him.

 

“Oh, there you guys are!” he smiled sweetly as he approached them. 

 

The three went pale when they noticed the smudge of chocolate on Junsu’s shirt. 

 

“Hyung, by any chance… do you know where my chocolate is?” 

 

“Oh? That’s yours?” Junsu laughed. “I got hungry earlier so I ate it. Kamsa, Changmin-ah!”

 

By now, Changmin’s uneven smile widened into a very sweet one. Yunho, Yoochun, and Jaejoong all shuddered as they backed away from the scene. 

 

Tonight, there would be a dead dolphin.
